- People ask us if our animals know their names, lets see if the Tennessee animals do!
The Gentle Barn is a non profit animal sanctuary with locations in Los Angeles, CA, Nashville, TN, and St. Louis, MO. We rescue neglected and traumatized animals from all circumstances, we rehabilitate them, and when they're ready we partner with them to heal people with the same stories of trauma. We rescue cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, emus, llamas, donkeys, and more. SO CUTE!!! I once lived on a farm in India. It was a refuge for cows, not a traditional cattle/dairy farm (as the cows in India are sacred), and I swear the cows were like dogs. They're really intelligent, they can learn behaviours and tricks; they're so adorable!!!

That isn’t a farm, it’s a sanctuary. Farmers are sadistic horrible people who exploit animals and plants for profit, there is no honour in being a farmer. They are not important at all. They are one of the worst types of people on the planet and they are one of the biggest problems on the planet. They are the complete opposite of an animal sanctuary.
Animal sanctuary’s rescue animals from farms and other abusive environments to give them a life they deserve with the freedom and protection they can while abiding the horrible laws that restrict many animal rights organizations.

Horses can hear 14 Hz to 25 kHz, because they can move their ears 180 degrees, using 10 different muscles
Humans can hear 20 kHz to 20 kHz, but with the fax that humans only use 3 different muscles to hear
And horses can focus on an expecific area to hear, so yeah, she might just saw her owner and started focusing at any sound that came from her direction.

Very true! Unfortunately, this isn't the best practice in some forms of owning livestock. I wouldn't suggest doing it if you know you'll have to have them slaughtered for food later. That attachment can wreck most people later on when they have to say goodbye.
