During the 70’s and 80’s there was “Snap Together” kits. Pre made kit parts for younger kids; because some glues were “toxic” because of the fumes. This is a neat cute snap kit! Coool!
The refit enterprise is THE most elegant starship in all of trek history. I’m glad they didn’t use it in TNG like they did the other TOS-era movie ships.
They only did that with a few ships. The Excelsior Class had a long run. The Ambassador Class not so much. The stupid Oberth was around for a long time. So was the Miranda. Although the Nebula was quickly phasing it out of service.
@@bradleyj.fortner2203 The Oberth was a science, and medical ship. When Picard and crew abandoned the old Stargazer, they lived in shuttles for weeks until an Oberth class ship rescued them.
This is great! I used to have a larger plastic model, but the warp nacelle pylons kept breaking off before I finished detailing the rest of the ship. Now we just need a 3d printed one this size with tiny LED lights inside of it, which are powered by a rechargable battery with concealed usb port inside the shuttle bay.
Other than the fact that you need a stand and maybe some detailing this needs to be manufactured for retail. I would definitely purchase this. You did a fantastic job. Now following.
🖖😎👍Very cool and very nicely greatly spectacularly well done and I really truly liked how everything just snapped right into place, A job very nicely wonderfully well done indeed Sir!👌.
Would LOVE to see the Excelsior and the Reliant. Also, instead of putting your logo "GooDesign" on the underside of the saucer, is it possible you could put it somewhere that doesn't stand out so much, or at least make it smaller, please? I'm just asking on the chance that we might want to paint and decal the model....
Looks great but for can you remove the "good design" from the bottom of the saucer section? I don't really want to pay for a model that's stamped with a logo on it. Edit: Also, since you're charging for it, do you have license to sell this? Or is putting your logo on it your way to help avoid that?
Not trying to sound dumb here but would please explain this to me! Do I have have a printer to do this or is sold this away and I just essentially snap It together?
You will need a 3D printer, the STL Flies that are needed can be found in the discription under the video, simlpy click on the link. This takes you to the site where you can buy the files and down load them.
Ok. So when it prints, does lol like it looks here in the video, were you just snap it all off that what ever it is, it’s on and then you just snap the whole model together? Or would I need a special type of printer?
I'm assuming that's a 3D print (I don't have any experience with 3D printers)? If so, then why not print a larger model by designing a lot more smaller pieces that can be assembled into a larger model? That's what I would do. But what the heck do I know? Except that it already looks really good as a smaller model. BUT... Is clear resin a thing? Because I think it would be super awesome to print the sides of the nacelles, along with the deflector dish, using clear blue resin and installing some LEDs and/or fiber optics to make those areas glow - and also the arboretum windows. And while you're at it, why not print lots and LOTS of transparent resin pieces for the dozens of windows? Anyway. That's my 2 bits.
Been building models since the 60's. I'm 70. I still build kits, filing, sanding, filling, sanding. Then the painting. To me maybe a couple of quick fills, prime, paint, detail paint. DONE. Guess it is time for me to by a high end 3-d printer and throw all the other stuff away. NOT.
Low level larger scale minimum production to check interest of model builders and collects interest in new build type click together format. Good luck.n
My favorite ship. But, this design sucks. Lots of removable panels that add deeper seams in places where they shouldn't be. You'd be much better off buying a model kit if you want it to look good.
I mean, that's a poor argument. Most of these issues could be resolved by taking the time to use a good adhesive like CA or something and some modeling putty and a fresh coat of paint from an airbrush, all things you'd do standard on most plastic models if you want to lose seam lines anyway.
How much time did it take to make this neat little kit? ******************************* I have the Enterprise-A kit with sound effects and lights.. I don’t have a 3D printer. I would make a bigger scale Enterprise-A, B, C, D, E, F, and G at the same scale as 1/50, with interior compartments, running lights, and removable decks. Little figures in TOS to TNG uniforms.. IMHO
The most beautiful starship design of any sci-fi universe.
I think so. Thanks for watching and please enjoy~

@@GOODesignlabs what an amazing "3-D Print file" , 👍 hey is there a compatible scale print file for the "Galaxy Class Enterprise D" ?????

We have arrived onto the future. Beautiful. Such a great product. What scale?
Scale is 1:1000. Thank you~
I am amazed you were able to print the legs of the nacelles without support!

What 3d printer are you using. That model is awesome.
I use mainly Prusa MK3s, Ender 3 S1 etc...
What's the point of the last piece? Why didn't you just model that into the piece?
It's not just a spaceship. It's a transformer
That’s what I do. Thanks for watching~
What’s the max you can scale that ip
I would definitely purchase one of these, you should make and sell them ….
I will consider your idea. But how can I ship to all over the countries?
How well does this click - no glue system stand up when you blow up the size (after all I imagine the tolerances would get to big (and ugly))
how can i get one ?
Been a while since I've seen 5 & 6 but isn't it supposed to say "USS ENTERPRISE" above the ncc-1701?
Awww man, this makes me want to get a 3D printer sooooo bad! I’m subbing to keep an eye on what you come up with next!
Thank you for watching and comment! I will do my best. I think you should but 3D printer~ 😉
What color and brand of PLA did you use? It looks great. I would like to print with it please.
I used light grey PLA filament from colorfabb.

No, it's $9.95 good when you buy them both at the same time 😂
