Well, Mr. Trek, many people build model railroads, some build dioramas, but you are the one guy, the one guy, that's building a starship! Nicely done. BTW. Don't forget to add the "cobra head" detail to the left of the power chamber in engineering...
I second that. You seem to have also recreated some of the classic camera angles and even the set lighting from the original show. Gave me chills viewing your modelling because it is so evocative of the original Star Trek. "Well done" doesn't begin to capture it, but it'll have to do for now.
WOW! The detail, and the commitment that you put into this project are absolutely amazing! Talk about the ultimate Star Trek Fan! TRULY a labor of love! When completed, I see a wonderful tourist attraction in your future! Live Long and Prosper!
This is an incredible project! The attention to detail, the creativity, use of materials to construct a card 3D model is just insane! This really is a labour of love. The iconic ship is so instantly recognisable in these models. It's encouraging to see folks still making old style card/balsa & glue models when so many have migrated to 3D computer modelling. This is old school and provides a direct link to designers of the original series and early movies who used similar techniques. There is a real authenticity about this project. Look forward to seeing the completed Star Ship- do you plan to put it on public display?

Thanks for the input, but I have to correct you, maybe everyone builds the OG Enterprise, but no one has ever built the entire interior of the ship! Also you talk about wanting to see someone build a big ship like the Enterprise D so I'm not sure you realise just how big the original ship was, it was huge, but not overly huge like the D.
