I only just caught up with your videos for this year’s Great Guitar Build and all I can say is WOW! That prologue is completely brilliant. The idea, the graphics, the filming, just fantastic, I am well impressed. I loved last years build best in the competition and your videos were also the best. I have a feeling you will surpass that in 2022. I can’t wait.

When I was a young teenager I was obsessed with Tolkien. I remember I tacked the map of middle earth to my wall by my bed so I could reference it every night while I was reading LOTR. I hope you plan to have some cartography incorporated into this build somehow.
It’s such a rich world to explore. I have many fond memories of reading the books when I was younger as well. If not on the guitar, some mapping is likely to feature in the videos.
You certainly know how to build up excitement , anticipation and guitars! I can’t wait.😊

Is that "red rosewood" a bit of Amboyna? Aka PNG rosewood? Its gorgeous, whatever it is.

I like that top with the figuring it has
Should go well with the dragon and as the fires of Mt. Doom
I thought about fire and lava as soon as I saw it. Can’t wait to get it under finish!
@@adairguitars That's why i called the one i'm building just now Lucifer's lute because the shape and the figuring in te spalted beach top
So as soon as i seen that top it just screamed lava and Mt Doom and the dragon in the left corner ... all just fits in nicely 👍

Awesome video! I think you just outdid your Dr Who videos! 🤣🤣 In the plans, what are the lines that are offset from the edge of the body? My best guess right now is the top being inlayed like an acoustasonic.
An inlay would be a good idea, but the line indicates where the bevel might be. I’ll also have a thin black veneer between the body and the top. I’m always aiming to try something different for the videos! 👍

That top is stunning, , I thought with all the paper it was a stew mac delivery
StewMac was the body and neck. The fretboard and top were from Aussie suppliers. There was still a lot of paper though!! 😂
How thick is that top? Looks quite thin on video.

@@adairguitars 😂 I wouldn’t have thought that would be too much of a problem Victorians have been telling me for years it’s the centre of the known Universe so Middle Earth can’t be too far from Geelong 😜😂
