I don’t know why people don’t like nor talk about the 914!!! I loved it since i was a kid, and it was the first non-Italian car i recognized by the sound. I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of the engine of cars passing by, and recognized more than 70-80% and i was 5 years old. It has become my passion and job sound tuning cars… so thanks for bringing back those great memories 👍🏼
Memories...memories..it remember me my 914/2,0 SC 1973 with Alu polished Fuchs Wheels. Plus they kept 914 "natural balance" with super engine and gearbox 6.... Amazing.. job...what a reborn !!! Love it. 👌👍
I have driven a 914 since 1973. An amazing car when it comes to handling. I have often thought about more horsepower but this RESTOMOD project has taken the 914 to an entirely new level. A job well done!!! 🔥
I work in Bakewell literally down the road from Fifteen Eleven and see this car being driven by Ben quite often, I actually have an A3 sketch on my wall as I like it so much, always makes me smile.
Looks great! I understand a desire to keep some proprietary aspects of the build, but it would be nice to see it on a lift, and under the hood and engine lid.
This is my dreamcar ! I had 3x 914s with 2 liter engines in the 70 years, two were 914-6 Bj 72 with consecutive chassis numbers! One was a narrow design, the other had the original factory widening with 7/8 inch tires. I should never have sold...
Had a 71 914 , the most pleasurable car I ever drove . From Chicago to Phoenix . You could actually over speed the headlights . Late at night 10 feet of Light
Oh my, my. If only my 1972 914-4 was that. It has been quite a fifty plus personal car journey to my current AMG. For me, two door German coupes are the only way to fly (albeit on the road). Thanks for such a great video!
I really love the widebody, has a great stance. I would prefer full black in and out and I think the loss of the pop ups actually makes it look sleeker, nice looking car. Anymore than 400 hp per ton would be extreme 😊
Absolutely fantastic car, an amazing project. Being ever so picky, I’m not quite sure the hooded headlights in the wings are quite right, I think if they added a glass covers it would be perfect. Really nice review also great to see the back end of little Irish.
This is a really nice comment, Marcus: an opinion delivering something constructive in a mature and respectful way. The internet needs more people like you!
I am just blown away by the dedication that went into the build. I was very interested first time I saw it in print. I do hope there is the market in the Porsche universe for this interesting and different take, I suspect those with 911s will love this to add to their collection as a fascinating talking point and a different type of drive. The engine choice was close to my heart and my first Porsche was a Boxster S 3.4 which seemed to have a particularly racy engine to me, so good choice. I have just got back into Porsche selling my Evora to fund a 997.1 C2S which I hope to evolve over time in a same way you have developed Little Irish. Your passion shines through keep up the great work and if you ever stop at the Kirkstile pub, my local near Loweswater in the Lake District, I'll buy you a pint. @@9WERKSTV
These were exactly my thoughts, too. I have never been a fan of the 914 (while I am very fond of contemporary Porsches as well as the Karmann Ghia), but this restomod looks really good inside and out - I definitely like it. And the redesigned front facia is indeed quite an improvement in comparison to the original design - apart from the hooded headlights which give the impression that something is missing there.
What a truly STUNNING looking car! Plus basically 400bhp per ton? That must be a very, very cool and VERY rapid car and i bet it corners crazy quick too!
heck yeah I've been looking at these in the states and 944's but I think these 914's restored would look great although I don't have the talent to mod it like these guys lol
I love it except the headlights in blinker pods. Should have wired the driving lights to be the headlights or keep the pop-ups. Or at the very least, put a clear lens over the headlights as-is to give it a smoother, more aero-oem look.
Normally nobody said nine-one-four in Germany...we say nine-fourteen, like nine eleven and not nine one one ❕😜 But nice build and video ❣️👌🏼 Love from Berlin 🇩🇪 Ramsi 🙋🏻♂️😘
I have loved the shape and the idea of the 914 since the begining. To me it is a perect sports car and now it has the power to match the best of them. I am absolutely sure that there is a market for a good old fashioned pure mechanical sports car such as a 914 or a Jensen Healey. Good show.
I like it but on the front where you’re missing those pop-up oval lenses for the turn signals it looks like there’s something missing having those too hole gaps there were they used to go also I kind of wish they would’ve kept the pop-up headlights because that was such a signature look for that car in my opinion I still like it though and I would have one along side the original 914 no it doesn’t have pop-up headlights but it does have 400 horsepower with absolutely no electronic nannies, and with a proper gearbox I will take my wins where I can get them. Honestly when I first saw this car before I even read the title I thought oh no, they turned the 914 into an electric car restomod like they do with some of the 911s but no they haven’t honestly other than those two gripes I have a bout it it’s brilliant
Yea the pop up headlights and turn signals were such an iconic part of the design. Part of doing a good restomod is staying true to the original without going overboard with making it modern.
Gorgeous conversion. Aside from the wipers my only reservation is the front end treatment which looks a little too much Smart Roadster-esque, maybe some body colour on the light bezels/bumper would remove that impression.
You widend the car, you wided the front and got rid of the pop up headlights, honestly I myself love it. I hate the pop ups. Did you widen the tail end and cockpit? Are there and videos of it on TH-cam?
The most critical design flaw are the seats. The upholstery looks cheap, and the seat design does not fit the car. Personally I would stick with nice upholstered Scheel 101, or Recaro Classic.
Yea they don’t fit the interior at all. They should design their own seat that’s based off of the original but better. Same with the rest of the interior. It looks like they spent all of their budget on the exterior and just threw the interior together last minute. Maybe 20 years ago it would be okay but with how many top companies are building cars like this now, it’s not up to the standard.

This is the coolest 914 I’ve ever seen. Love it! 🔥
Wats even cooler is that they will build only 24 of these. It will make them even rarer.
That’s the best restomod of a 914 I’ve ever seen
Memories...memories..it remember me my 914/2,0 SC 1973 with Alu polished Fuchs Wheels. Plus they kept 914 "natural balance" with super engine and gearbox 6.... Amazing.. job...what a reborn !!! Love it. 👌👍
Iv been waiting min 25 years for a project on my favorite Porsche 914. Well done and thank you for sharing
Internal combustion, manual, analog gauges, and NO SCREENS. This thing is awesome! 👍
I have driven a 914 since 1973. An amazing car when it comes to handling. I have often thought about more horsepower but this RESTOMOD project has taken the 914 to an entirely new level.

Love it! Am I the only one who can't stop looking at the wiper position? Can't un see it 🙈
That is where the wipers parked from the factory on a 914. They are a little high, but otherwise stock.
LHD wipers.
Yea, they could hav redesigned those
The factory decided that is what works.
@@Igor914624 No. They are VERY high. All a matter of adjustment. In the original factory promo photos they all sit normally.
What I like most about this is the proper steering wheel, no messy airbags in the way. Looks awesome.
It hurts, how nice this is.
I feel your pain too...this thing is achingly beautiful!
I own a 73 914 and a 06 Cayman S. This car is amazing.
Absolute Stunner. I love the 914 look and those mods are exactly what it needed.
That is such a lovley restomod sound and looks spot on in my eyes 😊
Looks great! I understand a desire to keep some proprietary aspects of the build, but it would be nice to see it on a lift, and under the hood and engine lid.
Thank you this is NICE NICE NICE!!! This is the coolest 914 I've seen!!!
That ticks a lot of boxes for me. Fab !!
I watch this video once a month. Absolutely love this car.
...GEAR LEAVER... LOL Love the headlight integration where the turn signals were. Awesome car.
Lever...... unless it's gone.

What an absolute riot! Usually restomods can look a bit odd but this thing looks modern without losing the 914 essence. Amazing work!!
It’s the opposite. Most restomods look proper whereas this looks odd. 😂
Our first tasteless car guy
I have a 914 in my garage. Talk about inspirational! I can’t stop watching this.
I love the much maligned 914’s.
This thing is Cracking, as they say!

Thanks for watching, and for your positive comment!
Grafting a 914 to a Cayman?!
Pure genius. What a fantastic idea! You guys are imaginative. Brilliant. Just brilliant.
Lovely to see a 914 getting the love it deserves. Maybe they can do something with those windshield wipers..?
Trademark 914.6 leave it lmao
I really love the widebody, has a great stance. I would prefer full black in and out and I think the loss of the pop ups actually makes it look sleeker, nice looking car. Anymore than 400 hp per ton would be extreme 😊
The front and back remind me of replacement bumper kits that still need painting. Nice work though
One of the great features of the original 914 is the targa roof that you can stow away in the trunk. Does that still apply?
i would imagine so. i guess the chassis is going to be a whole lot sturdier with the cage too. 😃
Awesome car and built by a proper motor sport company
I would love it if you did another video but on a track sliding it around please
This thing is Singer level of quality, well done.
Absolutely fantastic car, an amazing project. Being ever so picky, I’m not quite sure the hooded headlights in the wings are quite right, I think if they added a glass covers it would be perfect. Really nice review also great to see the back end of little Irish.

My same thought on the headlights, but an absolutely, gorgeously designed and executed advancement of the 914.
I am just blown away by the dedication that went into the build. I was very interested first time I saw it in print. The car looks and sounds amazing.
That is a thing of beauty. The 914 has always been my second favourite Porsche. I would love to have this
Looks like it'd be a weapon on hill-climbs! Love it!

GORGEOUS!!!
Steering wheel is on the wrong side but everything else is 10/10
It’s on the correct side
Agreed. Funny why they do that. Kind of like driving on the wrong side of the road.
It's on the correct side in the civilised world.
@@ronwhite8503 ...unfortunately, I'm not sure if there is a correct side in the civilized world anymore.
😂
Very well executed. Looks fabulous
wow wow wow !!!! I love how he rebuild its design!
I love it except the headlights in blinker pods. Should have wired the driving lights to be the headlights or keep the pop-ups. Or at the very least, put a clear lens over the headlights as-is to give it a smoother, more aero-oem look.
What a gorgeous car, and that sound!!! Love it!
Beyond awesome. Laugh out loud brilliant. I want this very badly. This is why I buy lottery tickets.
What a cracking car, love it’s simplicity. I’d have mine in a real 70s/retro colour! As soon as carbon fibre is mentioned I presume it’s a £200k+ car?
It's bloody properly cracking
Wow! LOVE it! One super hot car. Only thing I don’t love are the wipers. Have to do something about those.
Beautiful - great engineering and fabrication.
Love this! Perfect balance of new and retro
These cars are great fun to drive stock. I can only imagine what they would be like modernized like the one in this video. Beautiful car!
Normally nobody said nine-one-four in Germany...we say nine-fourteen, like nine eleven and not nine one one ❕😜
But nice build and video ❣️👌🏼
Love from Berlin 🇩🇪

Really sexy redo of a quirky sports car ❤
Awesome! Love it
Terrific vid guys 👍 Would love to get behind the wheel and enjoy the experience.
Love it! What a fun drivers car. I’d love one.
I have been dreaming of doing this for quite some time. Sort of a Singer envisioning of a 914, great job!
914s are going to come back in favor
I doubt it. Unfortunately it will always be overshadowed by the 911.
It is a thumbs up from me, looks an awesome car.
Beautiful. Looks like the shifter could move forward a couple of inches.

I actually prefer the look
But didn't you just say your 914 doesn't have pop ups either?
Sorry , misread
Gorgeous conversion. Aside from the wipers my only reservation is the front end treatment which looks a little too much Smart Roadster-esque, maybe some body colour on the light bezels/bumper would remove that impression.
What a cute beautiful car mate.
Restomod is the best of both
World 👍 yes please
Insane! Very nice
Absolutely beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful restomod. Just wonder with the engine swap why they did not rename 914-6?
I wish I could give you guys 10 thumbs up. Gorgeous car…great review.
Renegade hybrids will sell you a kit you can put an LS in one of these.
Stunning.
Never liked those, but this is something else in terms of uniqueness ❤. I actually love how it looks.
Beautiful car, and really neat concept - I sure wish we could have seen underneath it with closer detail shots.
Stunningly, achingly beautiful...what a car!
Fantastic, are they making them for sale, sorry unless I missed that ?
the 911's typically overshadowed the 914's -- but this put's it all in a different perspective ! I'd take one of these in a heartbeat !
You widend the car, you wided the front and got rid of the pop up headlights, honestly I myself love it. I hate the pop ups. Did you widen the tail end and cockpit?

I have an E46 M3 cabriolet but would take one of these in a heartbeat!
Nice spotted in Sheffield abit back super cool 914.
Most Excellent! 👍
Everyone seems to pick the 944 as a non conventional Porsche. For me it's been the 914 and that looks amazing!
owned 2 of these growing up . they are fun cars, the best way is to drop a subaru wrx turbo motor in these now update your brakes and have fun !
Excellent design.
That car looks and sounds amazing. I would love to see one with a k24 swap.
What is the deal with the windshield wipers sitting 1/2 way up the windshield?
Not,a big fan of the 914 because in my youth there were many with lots of rust standing around. But this thing is awesome
Very cool build, but I don't know how they get 400hp out of the 987S engine. Mine came with 295.
What a lovely design
I LOVE IT!
ooohh...I'd love one of them in Guard's Red,Including Bumper's of course,..Ha! Nice.
Wow!!! This is nice
Really beautiful bet its a blast to drive

@@dogger37JC- The gear shifter linkage is another area that fell visually short. Looks like its still under design development.
Having sat in it, I can tell you the suede is beautiful!! I hope you have a lovely day.
Why not use the Numeric shifter?
Best looking 914 I’ve ever seen!
I'd love to have the body kit to fit to mine! I'll stay aircooled 2.0. Just look better doing it.
Sounds freaking awesome
Very cool, but where are the wing Mirrors?
Coming soon Kevin! Haha
Beautiful and nice work. I don't like the headlights though
Just take my money pls!! Reminds me of the Dodge Razor Concept and, well, a really clean 914.
How do you order one and what is the price point?
I'd love to see a video of that car on a track.
