I know this is 2 months late but you definitely should. I started a little over a year ago after making a comment just like this on a video. It’s become my all time favorite deck that I always keep and go back to when I just want to play for fun. There are just so many things you can do and ways to build. 10/10 would always recommend to someone who hasn’t tried it.
Found your video and channel about a week ago. Used this as my first ever Drytron build. I'm loving the deck man! Really love the addition of Super Poly (its my favorite Card). You've earned a subscriber!
The duel at 44:06 was the best so far, omni negates and that foribidden droplet comming just like ordered :) quite a good duel destroying his omni negates
Ayyy, finally someone who understands the value of sauravis! Have you tried running spright elf? it protects vanity from targeting too. i usually use IP, Dyna Mondo, a negated Diviner or different useful Link2 to summon it. Summoning one of those 3 on their turn can be pretty nice.
I think that would be a nice option to play Spright Elf. I think if I don’t play Super Poly I can have more room for it. I like to have some going 2nd options and Super Poly does help sometimes as a non-targeting removal, get rid of monsters before they activate their quick effects due to your player priority, and the discard doesn’t hurt Drytrons because we play from GY too.
Fucho and Lyrilusc help you do one of two things, go into Zeus to wipe field or help you survive a turn because you don’t want to deal with Maxx C, Droll, Shifter, etc. The choice is really up to the player to decide what is best. I would say in “most” cases Lyrilusc is better or more than enough but in those more specific cases you wish you had Fucho to save your ass. Kikinagashi Fucho If opponent has a way to threaten a potential Zeus play like Arise-Heart with 3 materials to banish your card or Big Welcome in graveyard to bounce your card, Lyrilusc is not an option in this scenario. If opponent has one monster in defense position, you don’t need to detach Fucho’s materials when attacking and then overlay Zeus directly on top of it to guarantee a board wipe if they don’t have any negates. You skipping overlaying Downerd Magician in these scenarios. Yes, she enables double wipes with Zeus but because she’s a choke point that prevents you from summoning Zeus if they get rid of her. Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale There is a way to OTK with her using White Relic of Dogmatika to deal over 8,000 damage by direct attacks. She does guarantee you survive a turn because her effect is lingering to take no battle damage for an entire turn even if opponent gets rid of her. Fucho can still be outed by Underworld Goddess for example and they can OTK you the same turn. She makes it easier to make 4+ material Zeus since she can just attack directly, unlike Fucho that must detach to survive if all opponent’s monsters are in attack position. She allows more than 2 monsters to be used as materials unlike Fucho that is limited to 2. Lyrilusc - Ensemblue Robin This is an overlooked monster that Drytron can summon as well. Just like other Lyrilusc Xyz monsters, she can be made with more than 2 materials, allowing for multiple non-once per turn disruptions. I think because the Extra Deck is pretty tight depending on your strategy, people probably wouldn’t want to use extra deck space for her.
@@phuc2331 Forbidden Chalice is a very cheap card at only Rare but only works on one monster. Infinite Impermanence is a better version of Forbidden Chalice when you can afford it. Dark Ruler No More is a decent replacement for Forbidden Droplet and probably the next best replacement. However, you cannot kill the opponent the same turn, that’s why Forbidden Droplet is superior. With Droplet, you can send many Drytrons from your hand to graveyard to negate and as long as you have 1 Drytron or Ritual in hand, usually you can full combo still. For most other decks it can be costly to activate Droplet, but it can be very free for Drytrons since they activate from graveyard. I think this is why it’s difficult to replace Droplet if you don’t have one because Droplet works so well with Drytrons. One advantage with Dark Ruler No More is it works under Shifter and Kashtira Arise-Heart, Dark Law, etc, cards that make you banish instead of going to graveyard because those cards turn off Forbidden Droplet. Droplet can only be activated if you can send cards to Graveyard, but banishing them instead means the cost cannot be paid so the card cannot be activated. If you go into the Shop > Bundle Deals, you can buy a Forbidden Droplet bundle for 750 gems. You’ll have to craft the other two. I DO NOT recommend you pulling them from the Darklords Selection Pack: Deceitful Wings of Darkness. It is very costly and not guaranteed you will get one. Ultimate Slayer is expensive as an Ultra rare but is a way to get rid of their Extra Deck monsters. Normally, Drytron plays all Extra Deck type of monsters (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Links) so Ultimate Slayer works better in Drytron than most other decks. Super Polymerization. Instead of negating their monsters, send two of them for a fusion summon of Garura, Wings of Resonant Life or Mudragon of the Swamp. Droplet and Dark Ruler are helpful, but you have to understand that Fire decks are strong because they have many ways to play around these negates. People say these decks have “many layers of interaction” (Princess in graveyard, Fire Kings in hand, Divine Temple to special a back row monster like I:P, etc.). This means one card is not enough to break their board and you have to rely on other cards and skill to overcome Fire decks.
Diviner is kinda the best normal summon for ritual decks thanks to arclight. And benten is one of the few rituals that allow drytron to plus with each summon. You could use other rituals as tribute but its just not nearly as good.
Magician of Black Chaos MAX, Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon, Palladium Oracle Mana, Shiba-Warrior Taro and many other cards were drawn by Kazuki Takahashi. I don’t know what Konami’s standing on this but it’s rumored that they don’t release these cards because they don’t have permission from the artist or out of respect to not rerelease it. These cards came out way before Kazuki Takahashi passed away and Master Duel was around before he passed away too. Konami could release alternate artworks to bypass this but maybe it can be considered disrespectful so Konami won’t. It’s a digital version for Master Duel and not like the physical cards so it’s kind of odd that they still won’t release them and most likely never will. I’m also bummed about it not being released in Master Duel.
Feel free to copy what you like. Lots of different ways to play the deck. Many ways to lock out opponent from playing the game like flood gates and turn skipping. Drytron may not be the strongest and sometimes we end our turn due to one Ash Blossom, but it’s my favorite deck! Drytron needs at least 2 cards to combo off and many decks now are one card full combo so keep in mind you will be at a disadvantage. Snake Eyes is the most popular deck right now but I feel Drytron has a decent chance to play through all their interruptions. Some people like to add Maxx C and Ash Blossom and cut Gamma and Delta to 1 copy but I like more consistency so I don’t play hand traps besides Sauravis to protect Vanity’s Ruler. Orange Light is a searchable hand trap that some players like to add, especially in the Herald version of the deck, the most popular way to play Drytron. It doesn’t help me enough so I don’t play it, but it is decent when you complete your combos and add it to hand as a finishing touch. Veiler, D. D. Crow and Droll are also level 1 hand traps that if you need a body to make Mu Beta you have the option to normal summon them. Kurikara Divincarnate, Lava Golem and Volcanic Queen are your Kaijus. I play Super Poly as a non-targeting board breaker but it’s not very common for Drytron decks to play this card. You can play Dark Ruler No More instead of Droplet but Droplet helps you OTK and usually the Drytron discards from hand are free since they play from GY anyway. Karma Cannon and Feather Storm are decent search targets for Thrust if you need to survive another turn due to opponent’s Shifter, Maxx C, etc. Feather Storm works with Kikinagashi Fucho or Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale. You don’t need Amorphactor Pain that much in this meta since a lot of Link decks running around.
Cool breakdown. I still play amorphactor but mostly to just skip their 1st main and hopfully they skip their battle as well so your board isnt attacked. @@densai89

I could say, from Villain to Hero is perfect for Drytron. I despise it when 2020, but now I kinda appreciate it.
Can't wait for the new Drytron support to be in MD

@@densai89I like that super poly approach. Havent used that before in drytron. I ll try that.
i love drytron but i was getting frustrated w the herald & pure builds. never seen it played like this, crazy lol!
I need super polys asap.
the new nu2 and DAD support gonna be fire in MD soon
Also looking forward to the wcs qualifier replay :)
Great vid! I really like your deck build, so I was wondering if you could do a drytron guide
pls upload more with this deck
