That's something I didn't know! Thank you, I'm not much of a manga reader xD My question at this point is: Does the connection go deeper? Draitron don'r have any connection with Cybers EXCEPT that they're Light Machines that can't be normal summones or set, based on a constellation. Is it all just one big Zane reference, or is there another, cultural reason, maybe some kind of folklore?
Sir I believe this is the extension of this lore chain: Vylon --> Constellar --> Satellarknight --> Yang Zing --> Zefra ---> True Draco (Da'at Metaltron + Zefra Metaltron. It's in the names and designs. Vylon were light machine angels created in the heavens by the Constellar. Satellarknight was soldiers of Constellar. Yang Zings were created by Constellar Sombre, Stellarknights and Yang Zings Chiwen came together to make Zefra Thuban, Zoodiac, Metalfoes, and crystron combines to make Da'at Metaltron the true draco combatant. Da'at Metaltron later becomes Zefra Metaltron. Zefra Metaltron ---> Draitron Meteoris, which created the Drytron, modeled after the Vylon, Constellar, and Satellarknight, and Yang Zing (which are known as the cosmic meteor dragons) you can see in the artwork of Drytron Meteoris the Crystal of Crystron Quaigondrax and Da'at Metaltron. Also I'd point out that those monsters were based on old testament jewish Tanakh and Kabballah, this set being names genesis impact means it's the extension of this, Genesis is from Jewish old testament
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Sadly, aside from Eltanin, Zane’s ‘Cyber Dracos’ in the manga only have their names. All 4 of them were simply discarded to activate Cyber Emergency’s recovery effect, then banished by Born From Draconis to summon Eltanin.
So since the modules are named after the stars in the Draco constellation, if they ever want to introduce more support, they still have 11 more stars to choose from (assuming they all have a Greek letter classification). As for the mechs, so far they’re named after meteor showers, hence the Meteornis part of the name. So with that knowledge, if we ever get a ritual pendulum monster named Drytron Meteornis Geminids, you heard it here first.
Wow, that was probably the fastest reply I’ve gotten on a comment. But Konami won’t have to worry about me; I always shower if I’m going somewhere. As for what the Ritual Pendulum would be like, I don’t know the specific effects, but it would have a scale of 0, be restricted to pendulum summoning Drytrons, and it would count as summoning them with a Drytron card. However, it wouldn’t be able to be placed in the pendulum zone regularly (it’d still have the standard ‘place in zone upon destruction’ effect), and if it’s face-up in the extra deck, you’d still be able to ritual summon it from there.
FUN FACT: Five-Headed Dragon was a Ritual Monster in the anime (called Mythic Dragon), meaning it would've been the only Ritual Monster to need 3 modules to Ritual Summon, if it weren't for the fact that it could only be Ritual Summoned with Dragon Revival Ritual.
Yu-Gi-Oh Players: No! You can't just make every ritual archetype half-generic, Nekroz will be tier 0 again! Konami: Haha, blue cards make money printer go brrr!
Dev A: It always feels like we have to make Ritual Archetypes either really convoluted or ridiculously powerful to get people to play them. You think we should just scrap it and try to build something more streamlined from the ground up using our 2 decades of experience? Dev B: Naw, this is a non-rotating fornat game. Just make 'em think they can play Nekroz again and we'll be fine.
Just found this channel and i watched 5 videos already 😅 Pls TH-cam algorithm help this guy get more attention cause he deserves it. Seriously your stuff is amazing. I love your "explained" series a lot since i didn't play since 2014 and there are alot of archtypes i've never seen. I would love it when you would show the synergies with cards in yugiohpro (in that test hand single player thing) to have something to look at when you explain synergies and to understand them better. But man your content is amazing 😄 Edit: I only found you because i was looking for merfae videos and i liked your video the most. But never got anything recommended from you which sucks cause it's hard to find you. 😕
Comments like these really make my day, thank you so much! I'll try to add more of those segments in the future! I agree, it would be a lot more useful and interesting to see the combo played out. Thank you for the feedback!
Yeah, it would take some experimentation, but this could slot into a few things. Something I couldn't fit into the video was the possibility of it mixing with Infernoids.
It's a bit of a mish-mash, but I like the idea of Monster Gate-ing/Reasoning all of your Draitrons into your grave so you have the full rotation. It would shut them off for the turn, since you would presumably summon a Decatron, but at that point you do normal infernoud stuff. Then next turn you just bury them in even more card advantage. At least, that's the idea in my head. Whether or not it's viable is a different story xD
Run a drytron deck with 3 copies of Nova, Cyber Emergency, and Where Arf Thou to increase your search chances first turn, finish summoning combo with Gamma for the free extra monster, if done right, you can have 4 drytrons on the field, XYZ summon 2 each into 2 copies of Mu Beta Fafnir, use 1 material from each for the ritual summon keeping a negate on each of the Fafnir's. Then, if possible and you are at that point in the duel, use Meteoronis's 1000 attack effect, ritual summon into Demise, Supreme King of Armageddon, activate his effect without cost, nuke your opponents board, swing for 3000. Or, summon 2 drytrons, XYZ into Assembled Nightingale, attack directly, then XYZ after into AA ZEUS, then nuke.
6:13 at this point they might as well let you pick up your deck and start playing whatever you want from it. This is so true. I battled this deck today and by the time I had 6 cards he had 16. And when I had 7 cards in the combined field hand and graveyard homeboy had 23 out.
I know we make fun of Konami for their robot dragons, but I have a special place in my heart for these space mecha dragons. One day I hope they make the perfect synthesis of Ritual and Synchro monsters and Drytron and Ursarctics is very close to my idea. Seems impossible with how the mechanics work but we shall see.

Oh, it's a blast! There're so many cards I wanna try it out with, it's insane! (Also, shameless plug on main, but you can see some gameplay at the Field Test video I did for Draitron.)
17:45 Ok, I'm gonna have to stop you there, because there are a few Cydra/Cyber cards with great synergy with Drytron. First up is Cyber Eltanin, which banishes all Light Machines from your field and grave(Increasing it's attack and defence by 500 for each card banished) and it sends all other cards on the field to the graveyard upon special summon. This thing is nasty as a late-game comeback card, seeing as it's nuke effect bypasses all forms of protection barring outright effect immunity, and it turns into a huge beater to swing a reversal. Also, if you managed to get a copy or two of Cyber Dragon into the field or Graveyard when summoning Eltanin, you can then follow up with Cyberload Fusion to shuffle all of your banished card back into the deck to make Chimeratech Overdragon to guarantee the kill.
That's definetly an interesting field to explore. I don't know too much about them, but I feel like a Ritual spell that summons from the grave makes it a little easier on their card economy.
Or at least you could. Honestly, while I’ve personally never gone up against it, I’m guessing that if I did, I’d be calling for it to be banned. And thankfully, it is now.

Fr tho this archetype seems pretty Pog, it's just a shame that the artwork on all of them is so busy that it's almost as hard to look at as my old artwork lul (also kinda a shame bc it's in a side set so like half of the deck will be short printed hhhh)
Also AAAAAAA Congratz on hitting 700+ subs!!!!!
Fair enough. I'm calling it now, the Ritual Spell AND Alpha are getting the short print treatment.
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Yeee defiantly. Probs the field spell too
Wouldn't put it past them xD
@@GoldenNovaYugioh No more short prints btw lmaoo
Its changed it's not that you can't special summon monsters you can't special summon monsters that can be normal summon or set but if it's a ritual or a card that says it can't be normal summoned or set you can (special summon it)
Where qua ?
“It’s power is matched only by the clutter in this card art”
Hahaha facts. What is going on there
They do have a Archtype for starwars but it’s a mix with wizard of oz it’s called cosmos
Star Dragon World much?
I had to look this up, but now that I know?
Yeah.
Yeah, I can see it.
Draitron? 😂
Your humor is so Dry......tron!
I do pride myself on my high brow humor.
But since the archetype is already in outer space, I suppose the elevation comes naturally.
@@GoldenNovaYugioh I can’t, you Space your bandwidth for bad jokes further than Andromeda.
I just realized he cant say Monster but always says monschdr
😪😪😪 most hatred arch type in master duel
Subbed!
Awesome! Thank you very much!
Shinobirds?
I would love to splash the Shinobarons! Their removal is better than Tiaramisu, but unfortunely the rest of the Spirits can't come along for the ride 😭
@@GoldenNovaYugioh I have been playing them so much this month for some reason. I feel like we just need a fun spirit archetype to come it. The last thing we got was mediocre spirit pendulums in Extreme Force haha.
It feels weird that Yosenjus aren't Spirits, to be honest. Like, they function almost identically, imagine how much better they'd be WITH Spirit support!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Yes, so many people even think they are spirits cause they have the same mechanics. Id love to see a spirit pendulum archetype or some insane support that forces hino-kagu-tsuchi to get banned or something haha.
Watching this now and hearing the last line with Hungry Burger made me smile because atm my favorite way to play is Drytron Nouvellez because of Hungry Burger.. but I also have a hungry burger beatdown version on Master Duel, it's fun seeing a 6k burger stomp people
