I’m always the last one to have my shower at night and I’ll squidgy it down and then I have this cloth that I’ll wipe over the shower screen and tiles, I’ve had absolutely no soap scum ever since I’ve been doing this and it hardly takes any time at all, if anything, it saves me time when I’m doing my housework because my bathroom is always clean and I even have a spray mop in my bathroom that I’ll wipe down the floor and the tiled walls, just using vinegar and water and for the glass I use a cleaner called Koh that’s available here in Australia. Great cleaning tips Melissa. Cheers from Queensland Australia ❤️❤️
We squeegee every day but I also use 511 Kleen &Reseal once a week. I have grout that needs sealed and once it has been sealed this extends the life between sealing. I agree squeegeeing is the best!
I have textured tile in my shower so I don’t know, but the shower walls are never a problem but after every shower, I use my removable shower head to spray down all sides including the tub. After doing that, I hold the shower head below the water faucet so when I turn the shower off, the water rinses off the shower prior to hanging it back up. I have a shower curtain so glass isn’t a problem. All I know is that the materials they used in my shower are awesome!
Instead of the dreaded micro cloth, you can use a squeezy which cleans windows or use a natural very soft brush. Once they done dry with an old towel this gives the shine
I absolutely hate cleaning the shower but it’s gotten a little better since I learned from Melissa to clean the shower while I’m in the shower. And as far as would I like to be a window cleaning person (have no idea what the technical term for this position is called, sorry) if given the choice between a beating and having to hang off a building 30 floors up I would happily take the beating 😂 my brother is a tree trimmer and once I had to take him lunch on the job site and when I got there and seen my baby brother up in a tree so high that he looked like a literal speck I started having an anxiety attack and his boss requested that I leave and not come back on the job site when he was climbing 😅😅😅so yea you could say I have a fear of heights 😂
I'm hoping to build my dream home and am looking at ways not to have grout, especially in the walk-in shower, which will be in a wet room. I know you can get silicone grout which resists water and mould. But for waterproof floor walls etc in bathrooms with minimal joins much better
I hate cleaning the shower bathtub! I will avoid cleaning it for 6 to 8 weeks cause I absolutely hate doing it! Sometimes I think about hiring a cleaning company to come clean it. 😂
Thank you so much for joining the membership! I'm thrilled to have you on board. We've got some great videos launching (including tomorrow morning for a weekend reset) so keep an eye out! Thanks again, Melissa.
We installed a one piece fibreglass step in shower. Getting soap scum residue off is very difficult even when I use a squeegee. Can I use Scum Buster and Daily Shower Spray? Thank you so much for this video.
Soap scum can be tough to tackle, but using Daily Shower Spray might help. Make sure you get down there to look UNDER the step! That's the worst! Good luck with cleaning! Let me know! Melissa
I'm afraid of heights so no I wouldn't use a harness to clean windows. I don't even like climbing a ladder either much less a stool unless I have to. But you can put me on a rollercoaster and I would be just fine
Do you dry dust your cabinets before going in with the general cleaning diy..cleaner you suggested? I thought I would ask my cabinets are solid wood and I have pets inside. I get dust and pet hair to deal with lol.
Don't use disinfection. The gems come back On stainless steel baking soda and again a very soft brush or softtoothbrush great By the way I clean all brushes out with hot water and soda crystals. The secret is to dry surface taps etc with an old towel obviously clean
Question. When I was at my place I was squee-gee-ing my shower walls. I moved becsuse I was having some long term plumbing issues in my kitchen. I'm temporarily staying with my mom and my squeegee is packed up. She has two bathrooms. Im using the one upstairs. I wanted to do some deep cleaning and I noticed some eneven "streaks" in the tub. Every time i clean it, it never comes off. I wanted to try to remove the gunk so the tub could be truly clean. She has hard water. After a bit of research, I saw a post that said try 1 part water and one part vinegar, let it set for 10-15 minutes and wipe. I had some cleaning vingar and decided to mix it with distilled water bc I know the tap is hard so why clean with it. When I started wiping, this white, sticky substance started coming off on the sponge. It freaked me out cuz I didn't know what it was. I'd never seen such a thing! At one point I thought some of the finish was coming off based on another post I read. She has an either a fiberglass, acrylic or ceramic tub. It's not anything fancy. Is this the nasty soap scum finally coming off or could it be the finish? Thanks in advance!
Great video ❤ I have a question about cleaning my shower curtain liner? How should I clean it? Help please 🙏 ❤ thank you 😊 oh my feet, stay on the ground 😅
thanks for the question. Shower curtains are tough to clean, if you have a nozzle you can rinse it down (particularly the bottom that gathers and sits in tub. Once you know it needs to be changed, change it!
QUESTION: Thanks for this video, but I need some help. What if you aren't certain if your tile is natural, man made, etc. what method is best to use? I'm afraid of using something that will ruin the finish.
@@cleanmyspace Hi Melissa! Thank your for offering your help. Furniture, grout (my grout is unsealed), baseboards (my baseboards absorb fluids since they're really cheap). The only cleaner that can remove most of the urine odors is "Fabuloso" but the smell of urine still lingers and "Fabuloso" is overly perfumey and filled with fragrance, I also want to mention that I have a Tineco floor mop. Let me know if you need more information!
The BioKeen/Bac Out link brings me to a gallon of carpet stain cleaner (same brand, but just a different item). Do you have a link to the correct product? thanks
I clean house every single week, including the showers. I also squeegee most of the time. Once in a while I use the shower spray. I will need to keep my feet on the ground and clean first story windows only!!!😬🥴
Can enzyme cleaners be used as an all purpose cleaner? Is there a place you don’t recommend just enzyme cleaner. I’m sorry to be repeating something you probably covered 😢. My old brain just gets a little confused in all your info 🤓
NO! you can try to test a small portion, but my guess is if the cupboard is painted, you have scratched the paint? Are the cupboards enamel finish or paint. CAREFUL!!!
@cleanmyspace they are not painted, so enamel finish? I was only using a scrub daddy. I guess it's the finish that I scratched. I tried some beeswax cleaner, but didn't help the scratches, but, dang, the cabinets looked Shiney again.
Typically the grime on my bathtub or shower is invisible! Feeling the surfaces is the only way to know if it’s totally clean. Great tip! :)
Glad I could help!

Looks like we've got a bathroom cleaning expert in the house! Keep up the good work, you might just put me out of a job!
We use a squeegee after each shower. Glass stays clean for a long time. Use squeegee on tile as well.
We squeegee every day but I also use 511 Kleen &Reseal once a week. I have grout that needs sealed and once it has been sealed this extends the life between sealing.

Can you do a video on bathroom mold and mildew remediation in the shower? Especially for grout and OMG, the bottom of shower curtains!
It's an old one of mine, but how about this one?? th-cam.com/video/xRZd0mnjpNE/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=CleanMySpace Thanks for watching! Melissa
@@cleanmyspace Thanks! Just watched it, and as a bonus you had a link to ANOTHER video specifically for cleaning shower curtains so double yay! 😁
Glad we can help. let me know what other help you need? Happy to make your life a bit easier! (if that is possible)
I have your book
First!!!
(Do people still do that?)
I do 🤷🏽♂️😄

Me too ✋️ 😪
It only takes 5-10 minutes. Just clean it😊
Thank you for the soap scum tips!
You are so welcome!

How to clean quartz countertops? Any recommendations
What could I use to cover up chiped paint on cabinets?

Do you have to pre treat grease with an all purpose cleaner first before using enzyme? Or can you go straight in with an enzyme cleaner.

I use white vinegar and water spray and I squeegee Right after. You have them as two separate methods, so I don’t know.
That will work, but you can cut down your time if you combine! Hope that helps, and thanks for watching! Melissa

What type of vinegar is best for cleaning windows? Love your videos!
Regular white vinegar or cleaning vinegar will do the trick :)
QUESTION: Thanks for this video, but I need some help. What if you aren't certain if your tile is natural, man made, etc. what method is best to use? I'm afraid of using something that will ruin the finish.
Best to be safe. test a small indiscreet spot with dish soap and water and see what happens. SMALL SPOT>
Have you done a video on cleaning house windows from the outside yet? I would love your wisdom regarding that tall task. Dreading it 😢
It's old (and I was much younger) but give this a try. th-cam.com/video/3vtTrjVXQHo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=CleanMySpace Thanks Melissa
do you know any products to remove my dogs horrible urine odors without the product being overly perfumey
Help me help you. Remove the odors from where? Carpet? Furniture? Let me know and I can reply. Thanks for watching! Melissa

Are you using a dry or damp cloth to wipe down cabinets after the cleaning solution dwell time is finished?
damp then dry! always dry! extra step for cleanliness!

What is the all-purpose cleaner for the cabinets???
A simple mixture of 1 tsp of dish soap and water will do the trick!

Great 👍
Great comment, just like the title 😉
Staying on the firm ground, for sure
Where's the steam cleaner?
I would not want to be up high to clean my windows. I want to stay on the ground!
Right?!
Can we get NEW clean with me videos?
We have new videos coming soon - stay tuned and thanks for watching :)
We squeegee and then spray, just an extra precaution, I live in the south red algae is a bear.
south red algae is a bear? where is that???
You didn’t say how to clean stone shower
No harnesses for me. I even dislike ladders.
Safety first! It's always good to be cautious.
👍
Literally would rather do ANYTHING than clean my shower 😭
Dang $1 a month to join! My opinion it's too much. $5 the year
We appreciate that it's not for everyone and promise to keep uploading cleaning videos each week, for free, like we have for the past 14 years 😀
