I always thought I understood Vectors, but then when the mock exam came I realized I didn't. I always saw your videos appear on the algorithm but I saw that they were very long and decided they weren't worth it. Eventually I gave them a try and I was wrong. You take your time to explain things and it's better to spend 50 minutes watching a good long video to understand something than to watch many short videos that will end up adding up to be longer than 50 minutes and not understand much. Thank you for your help.
Yes i literally spent 4 and half hours watching his videos. My e maths exam is tmr🥲💔

Could you please explain briefly the difference between column vector and position vector. And how do we find these. While what are coordinate points? Will be grateful
Column Vector vs. Position Vector:
Column Vector: This is a general term for a vector written in a vertical column format, with each element stacked on top of the other. It can represent anything with magnitude and direction, like forces or velocities.
Position Vector: This is a specific type of column vector used in linear algebra. It describes the location of a point in space relative to a chosen origin (usually denoted by "O")

Thank you so much for this video! I know I'm a bit late but I just wanted to ask why question 12 r (3:02) can't be 2a-b? Is it because you need to start from the top? I would really appreciate your answer!
Yep from the top 👍
your the best
Thanks 😊
15:48 , can you please explain why you multiplied 1/4 by -a + b instead of adding ?
Because I want one quarter of the vector AB, of refers to multiplication 👍

@@GingerMathematician thanks, really good video!!!
Thanks a bunch! Your channel is just amazing! quick question for 15:00 something lijke part A do we have to use the Origin cant we just use the ab line?
We can't go directly from A to B so we need to take the detour through O 🙂 👍
@@GingerMathematician oh, but why is it wrong to go from a to b it gives the same answer anyways?
@@TH-camr-by6hx we don't have a vector going A to B directly 👍
@@GingerMathematician so we always use the origin and otherwise it's wrong
Thanks alot!!
If the question asks to keep the magnitude as a surd, then can we keep the answer as let's say for example, √45 or do we have to simplify it and give the answer as 3√5 ?
You should simplify if possible but on 0580 I do not think you will lose a mark 👍
13:41 Do we have to necessarily leave the final ans. in that form or can we write in decimal?
Decimal is also fine 👍
you are so talented, You save my life. God bless you
Thank you 😊

Also correct :-)

No problem Jay, glad I could help 😊👍

thanks
Thank you 😊😊
18:56
hello! thank you for this great video, i had a small doubt
at 40:02, do we have to start from the edge of the grid? I went from the left hand side (instead of right, as you did) and got the signs mixed up (a-2b same as the prev question instead of -a + 2b which is the right answer) so I'm not able to understand that part
I made sure to leave myself enough room on the grid to draw the vector 👍
@GingerMathematician , I'm really having trouble with vector questions where we are asked to find the ratio of a line , with a midpoint (eg- N is midpoint of AB , find the ratio of AN:NB ) , I think you're the only person who can help me, please help me out (questions from edexcel igcse)
Creating more content that includes this kind of question... :-)
Hi sir, do we have to draw underlines or wavy lines under the vectors in the real IGCSE exam? Thanks a lot 😊!!
You should, it's correct notation
do we always have to provide a simplified answer in vector questions like do we have to write 1/2(3q-r) instead of -1/2r + 3/2q for example
You can leave it in factorised form too 😊
@@GingerMathematician Alright Thank you!
Where can I get the pdf of the questions you are going through?
I want to download it and print it out to practice
In the description :-)
