I always thought I understood Vectors, but then when the mock exam came I realized I didn't. I always saw your videos appear on the algorithm but I saw that they were very long and decided they weren't worth it. Eventually I gave them a try and I was wrong. You take your time to explain things and it's better to spend 50 minutes watching a good long video to understand something than to watch many short videos that will end up adding up to be longer than 50 minutes and not understand much. Thank you for your help.

I went from the left hand side (instead of right, as you did) and got the signs mixed up (a-2b same as the prev question instead of -a + 2b which is the right answer) so I'm not able to understand that part

Position vectors per se are only in the iGCSE Add Maths course... but the Q in the video allows you to work out what they are by context... and pushing your true understanding of Vectors 👍

at 26:57 is it necessary to show the working? because in igcse math, using a calculator is allowed and when you put the values with square root it directly gives the answer in the surd form so cant we just write that after the first and second step?

If the question asks to keep the magnitude as a surd, then can we keep the answer as let's say for example, √45 or do we have to simplify it and give the answer as 3√5 ?
@GingerMathematician , I'm really having trouble with vector questions where we are asked to find the ratio of a line , with a midpoint (eg- N is midpoint of AB , find the ratio of AN:NB ) , I think you're the only person who can help me, please help me out (questions from edexcel igcse)

could you clarify what you meant at 5:42, needing to "remember those squiggles underneath"? what do they represent/stand for? thanks!
Strictly speaking any vector should have a squiggle underneath to indicate it is a vector and not a scalar (number) 👍

We can't go directly from A to B so we need to take the detour through O 🙂 👍

Could you please do a video on sequences for 0607? Some questions especially from may/june 2019 make me so nervous and this isn’t my strong point even though so many people don’t find it tough. :(

If the question asks to keep the magnitude as a surd, then can we keep the answer as let's say for example, √45 or do we have to simplify it and give the answer as 3√5 ?
You should simplify if possible but on 0580 I do not think you will lose a mark 👍
@GingerMathematician , I'm really having trouble with vector questions where we are asked to find the ratio of a line , with a midpoint (eg- N is midpoint of AB , find the ratio of AN:NB ) , I think you're the only person who can help me, please help me out (questions from edexcel igcse)

Thanks so much for this video. Could you pl tell me why Q 10 c, cannot be solved using the midpoint theorem? I tried it and keep getting k=8. (5=(k+2)/2) i.e.y midpt= (y1+y2)/2.
