Great video. 👍Hugo, can you recommend a power supply for the heat plate? I need a power supply that is powerful enough to be able to solder SMD. What should I look out for? What kind of power supply do you use? Many thanks for your recommendation
Hi, Yes I noted when editing, I don't know why that one gave me a lot of trouble, the others were soldered without a sweat, but this one not even flux helped... thanks for watching and your comment!
There are several versions of this plate, when you order make sure to order the one with top screws buried inside the top plate. Some versions have the screws outside so you can't use the full plate. I have also bought the blue plate by Mechanic but that was not reliable and broke after a few usage.
Hi, never though in that use case, yes, it will allow you to specify the temperature down to zero, so you can select whatever temperature you need, even lower ones for ink heating, pretty cool. Thanks for sharing and for your comment, really appreciated.
Hi, I have a G3061, and I can only use it with a power supply set to 21Vdc. I've tried connecting it with a smart power supply but I haven't had any success. I see that you're using a power supply with a USB output. Which one do you use? And what cable USB is it? Thank you.
Hi Carlos, for this video I used a 100W charger/power supply that came with my FNIRSI DPS-150. It worked great, it should have at least a 65W charger for it, take attention also to the cable, not all cables are born equal 😁 some say they're rated for high voltages, but that is only misleading marketing from some manufacturers. Thanks for watching.

Hi, it was much better than I though that will be. Really surprised me. Hope you enjoy it also. Thanks for watching and commenting.

That ground lead is still not soldered correctly (at time 18:21) , the solder blob moved when you touched with the tweezers.
