This is one our top seller. The only multimeter in this price range that has 2 -way communication (SPCI Programmable). This is used in a lot of testing jigs or industrial automation projects.

Hi, I loved this equipment, really accurate and for the price is a catch. Thanks for watching and your comment.

Owon are a bit underrated - they made some nice handheld scopes - I had a couple of them - had a fault develop a couple of years out of warranty, they still fixed it with no charge. Their PC based scope is also pretty good.

Great review! Impressive VDC accuracy even with the speed set in Mid... And there's a "hack" to access a hidden menu to calibrate the dmm per voltage range if needed.

For very fast beeping you should change the threshold between 500 - 900 ohm.

I’m quite surprised on how accurate the meter was. However, If this meter had Kelvin 4 wire measurement for low resistance measurements, it would have been near perfect.
By the way if you ever need to measure a low value capacitor, such as a 100pf cap, but the meter cannot read that low, first connect a low value capacitor that the meter is able to measure, for example a 1000pf capacitor, then REL/NULL the meter and then add the capacitor that wasn’t able to be measured in PARALLEL with the 1,000pf capacitor to get the measurement of that low value cap.
Also, if the meter can only read in the nanofarad range but not picofarad, the resolution will not be great, but it can at least give you a ballpark figure.
If you use this method, it’s easier to use crocodile clips with a short as possible test leads for better accuracy due to long test leads having some capacitance in them.

I guess you would have to go for the slightly bigger XDM2041 to have 4 wire low resistance measurement

Seems to be a very precise multimeter and amperemeter.

Mine has become uncalibrated and the capacitor measurements always show zero despite being within range. Could you indicate how to calibrate it for this measurement (the rest are easily calibrated with a minimum of logic, but I cannot find an explanation for this measurement).

Hiper Accurate of course not - my multimeter, 20 years old, is still more accurate. But it's cheap, yes. For the Hobbyist an acceptable, effortable measuring instrument.

I have accurate direct reading meters. Many people do. Good ones are for sale all over eBay and elsewhere. But for my next meter I'm looking for the ability to gather and display on a PC the data that is gathered over a period of time. This says it can do it, but I'm looking for a review of it actually being done, and the convenience and features of the software that does it, features like gathering more than 1 parameter over time, like voltage, current, and temperature. Features like averaging out noise. As I said, accurate meters are available cheap from all over. We need meters that actually do more in software, and very few of us are good software engineers with the time to create our own software to make accurate meters more useful. The company that provides it will sell a whole lot of meters.
BTW, what matters with a frequency counter is also the range of voltages of signals that it can detect and count, and whether it can read the frequency of both sine and square waves. Reading the frequency of 5V sine waves doesn't really tell us much.

It seems the same as element14’s Multicomp Pro MP730889

Using your link it is very expensive. I found it at 76 UK pounds or around $100 US.
I think you were a bit harsh on the continuity test - no one needs to do a continuity test that fast !!!
You could have been a bit clearer on the frequency of volt reading update.

Hi, well you can have the version without battery for around 80€ on AliExpress, that's really a very nice price for this device. Well, about the continuity, you're right. I could messed a bit around with the threshold, I missed that. But they should have a better factory configuration in terms os response time. Thanks for watching.

@@TechCornerTV I prefer a battery option - a bit less chance of noise. The number of times I have found noise which disappears with an instrument using only a battery supply....😢
I was impressed with the voltage readings (are you sure you weren't fiddling them 😁 ) but it is annoying when they put other features on (like capacitance measurement or anything else they can think of ) and the feature is cr*p.
I say if they can't do it well then don't do it at all !
      My big annoyance

Hi friend, can we use it as osiloscooe to measure mobile crystal frequency? We dont need for curves, we only need to chexk does crystal clock has 32.678kHz or not? Any correct answer? Thanks

Hi Steven, another viewer informed me that I can lower the thereshold to have a faster response, I missed that, sorry. But anyway, it seems we can improve the response time, the questions is why don't they ship already with a better response type configured. Thanks for watching.
