TD Ameritrade vs Etrade - What You Need to Know!

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 13 ก.ย. 2020
  • In this video, I completely break down TD Ameritrade vs Etrade. TD Ameritrade and Etrade are two of the most popular brokerages in the world and it can be difficult to choose between the two.
So, I researched everything about TD Ameritrade and Etrade and broke them down into four categories: Fees, Features, Customer Service, and Mobile Apps.
First I dig deep into the fees of Etrade vs TD Ameritrade and they ended up being pretty similar. Both brokerages offer free online trading for investing in stocks, ETFs, and options. However, there are a few fees I talk about including fees on options contracts, annual fees, and inactivity fees.
🔴💸 If you want to earn interest on your crypto like I do, sign up for BlockFi using my referral link, deposit $100+ and we'll each get up to $250 of free Bitcoin! blockfi.com/?r...

🔴💸 Get one free stock with Robinhood - join.robinhood...
🔴💸 Get $5 of free Bitcoin and help support the lighting network by downloading Strike now -invite.strike....
The next step in my TD Ameritrade vs Etrade breakdown is talking about the features. This section encapsulates the benefits and abilities you get with either Etrade or TD Ameritrade.
This section includes what investments you can trade, how you can trade, and any perks or deals the two brokerages offer.
Next, I ran a customer service experiment to further compare the two companies. In this experiment, I came up with one simple question and asked the same question to both companies' customer service departments.
In the end, I was impressed with both brokerages and moved on to their mobile apps.
In this last section, I briefly went over the mobile apps of Etrade vs TD Ameritrade. Both apps are a little bit lackluster but they get the job done. They are very similar and offer similar investing capabilities.
Nothing in this video should be taken as financial advice or any kind of advice. This video and everything I say in it is meant for informational and entertainment purposes only. Facts may or may not be true and could change after posting the video.
Overall, this video should help you to understand Etrade vs TD Ameritrade. Hopefully, it helped you!

They are betting against their members. And they are running out of money because of that. I had three Call options of SNDL expiring Friday 02/12/2021 ITM so I was going to get payed for selling those shares. They used my available cash (buying power) to buy them at 03:30 PM and pushed those expirations for 02/19/2021. I sent them a protest email and all they been doing for the past two days is teaching me how options work.

TDA has $21B marketcap and Etrade $10B, if your trading and you want to sell at the top price or buy at the bottom quickly before the price retraces then from my experience the higher marketcap exchange will perform better to get the price you want, and that's good for when your trading in lower time frames.

  • @david_a_uno
    @david_a_uno 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Beyond fees, or chat customer service, a broker that answers the phone in a timely manner is huge. I've never had to wait with TDA, and Etrade has taken over 30 min and still didn't pick up the line, but I get the sense that Etrade's software platform is more robust.

Usually they do and in a timely fashion, but they tend to get delayed when Robinhood gets into trouble and their customers want to join TD Ameritrade. The same happens with other brokers (Fidelity, Charles Schwab, E-Trade, or Vanguard). It has gotten so bad that I had to create a news alert every time Robinhood gets in trouble again.

E-Trade customer service is horrible in 2023. E-Trade lost 6 figures of my money in a deposit, and it took me 3 weeks of daily calls to track down what happened. Even then they were vague, and only said "we sent it back to the point of origin." They would not tell me when or why. This all resulted from an online check deposit which exceeded the daily limit. This could happen to anyone who sells a house and profits, or whatever. Supervisors have avoided talking to me for the entire time, and promised call backs have never occurred. I dont know how Td Ameritrade is, but stay away from E-Trade. Ive been with them since the 90's and the company has gone downhill.
