Hey Donnie... yeah everyone tell me we're right in those great years for the kids... daughter is 7 and my son will be 10 in a couple months. It's a lot of fun we just got back from vacation and had a blast fishing and beach stuff, campfires and playing games. It was nice to get disconnect from the internet for a while! I think RC is cool because it's something we can do together either young or when they get older too. I saw a few father - son combos back in the days when the track was around. And I mean the Dads were older in the 50's and sons were in their 20s hanging out and racing. Really cool.

Glad you are having a blast with this truck. My son was taking this out for a spin just a few days ago and he loves it too. Near the end I let him get up to 100% throttle. lol.
As for wheel options... i think you can look at 1/16 on road wheels. Maybe something like this from Aliexpress s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFatEcf or look at wheel options for the 1/16 traxxas rally or even the 1/16 short course truck. There are options but not a huge amount. You might be able to squeeze some 1/10 touring car wheels on but you'd have to trim the shell and not sure if you have to change the hex nut to 12mm. Hope that helps!

Were you running just 2s battery? I know other guys hit 42 mph on 3s with it..nice car

Hey! Yes this model only can handle 2s lipo. The model with the black shell can do 3s and hit the higher speed. It has different electronics.

I watched over a dozen videos on these cars and everyone else says electronics are identical...plus you said yours had plastic belly plate..everyone elses is metal...you must have a different one...thanks

@@roadstar499 I think i have a 3s that will fit and I'm going to try it this weekend. I'm just looking at my order from Aliexpress, it was 168.55cdn and I used a discount code and paid 154.55cdn with free shipping. The other ones I see are with the black shell and go for well over $200cdn on aliexpress. Anyway I'll try the 3s, maybe it will work. I just had it out last saturday and my son started driving it and my daughter had the pinecone sg1602 and they collided of course (lol) and this truck didn't have a scratch and it destroyed the front end of the pinecone. Oh well I ordered in alum upgrade parts to repair. Ok man Have a great weekend!

2s is fine..many guys get 28mph..4s they get 42 mph..i also believe using a better 2s battery it might be faster...its a small car that is fast and seems to handle great which is really all most people want...i watched a couple of videos where they were moded anf hit 80mph range..thats not my taste... thanks

Cool looking car but I admit I have not fully accepted these little cars they have come out with because I'm still a little salty that MJX has ABANDONED THE DRONE FLYERS leaving behind some real classics! I think they should make some cars above 1/10 scale if they are going to stick with the cars though 💯🤷

Hey buddy. I didn't know they stopped producing quads? That's interesting. They sure are doing nice job with the 1/16 - 1/14 scale stuff. Really good stuff and affordable. Stepping up to 1/10 you'd be hitting that $250 range likely so maybe they like this sweet spot for now. Drone market is so competitive it's crazy. I see stuff for $35 that flies really really good and how do you make money on that price point? Anyway, these are cool cars. I have a 3s from the buggy I might drop in and i think it'll be insane!
