I had an 89 with 3rd row seating, rear air, and brushed aluminum. Now I have an 85 with brushed aluminum, no stamped rear seat mounts, and no rear air

I'm not sure if you're saying that the 89 to 91 don't come with back seats or that the ones that don't have back seats just don't have an easy way to add them? My 91 has a factory 3rd row seat. And my front row is a bench so I can buckle 3 across. Just something to consider if more seats are important.
I recognize you said right away that all these things are just nitpicking and you can change them. I put a 6 inch lift and 37s on mine and while I'm sure it's too much for most it gave me way better access to working on it underneath and keep everything clean.
I'm surprised you don't have a heater in the back. Does the dash heater work enough to reach the second row? Mine came with rear heat but the heater was destroyed so I'm in the process of rebuilding it to be stronger so it won't get crunched this time. I'm curious of how warm it stays back there without the rear heater? Especially in your cold climate, I'm in Washington.

On 89-91s if you don’t opt for the third seat then the floor pan doesn’t come with the mounts which makes adding a third seat a little more difficult but not impossible. Just have to cut out and weld in mounts from a burb that came with it. The heater is strong enough for the rear passengers but in order to get the back to 70 the front seats are at like 90 haha.

@@jimmykale Gotcha. Mine has a destroyed rear heater box I'm in process of rebuilding hopefully to get more heat into the back during snow trips mostly.

I add a (ad a leaf) to the rear of my 89, that brought the rear up about 4". which looks much better and it is running on 33" tires. One of my most hated things is the head-liner. I end up pulling it out. it was doing what yours is doing, at six' 3" it was resting on my head, very annoying.

Agreed. The headliner drives me nuts! How did the 33’s effect the drivability? Do you tow with yours?

I tow a 24 travel trailer, I did have the motor worked on, it is now a 383 with Doug thorly headers. It is fun to drive and tows great.
