The Outsiders is 100% my FAVORITE book. Ever. No matter what else I read, nothing else has struck the same chord as that story. I read it like you might watch your favorite movie (several times a year with the same attention as the first time). BUT I also recently discovered that Hinton wasn’t a one hit wonder author like I had thought. No. She has like 10 more stories out. I just found this out a month ago and am nearly finished with them. All of them. And I have never been happier and more thoughtful than the last few weeks 😭😩🥹
Oh that makes me feel so happy! I knew Hinton had more works, but I was always worried they wouldn't hold up. But it sounds like they do? Which has been your favourite so far? I just might have to read more! It sounds like we have a similar love for her work!

I don’t know that I have a favorite just yet, but I just recently finished That Was Then, This Is Now and I really loved it. It takes place a year after The Outsiders, but with nearly separate characters. Ponyboy does show up a few times though (and I didn’t realize it until midway through the book because they referred to him as Curtis until then 😂).
I love how you have a special fit for cleaning. Probably works very well for that mental shift that you need to take in order to get into cleaning mode.

Both as a vegetarian and an ex Maccas worker, your Mac looked waaaaaay better!! How did you make your Mac sauce? My favourite studio Ghibli is Howl's Moving Castle. The books is also great. :) Hope your placement goes well. 💜🐱
Oohh it is soo good! I just looked up a recipe and used it as a reference, but basically I just mixed up vegannaise with pickle juice, ketchup, mustard, pickles and red onion! I like a little garlic powder and paprika in there too! So delish!
