A suggestion for you guys. In principle, a review can be more relevant for a runner if the reviewer shares some aspects with the runner. Eg, if you run at 3 min/km and I run at 7 min/km, maybe we perceive from different perspectives a shoe. I would put at the beginning in the videos a small profile for each runner. Maybe 3 secs: name, age, weight, pbs, foot width. Those might help runners better relate to a particular reviewer's perspective I found
Yeah, I think this is a great idea. Especially for expansion and growth of the channel. You want to do a little tiny intro that's not terrible to sit through for existing fans that have subscribed to the channel, but is informative to new people.
Makes sense. For example, when they say "Pickup the pace", for them it may mean going up to 3min per km, while for most people, picking up the pace may mean going up to 4:30/05:00min per km. Or when they say "a Nice and easy Pace", what is an easy pace for them? It most likely is much faster than my easy pace.
Oh wow, I was going to comment the exact same thing. Actually, I feel like it's commonly missing from a lot a reviews. Like for some, an easy pace is 5 min/km but for me it's 8 min/km. By the way, one one hand, I think that the fact that people who are reviewing shoes are all running for a long time doesn't really help. But on the other side, they do have a lot of expertise to reviews shoes. It would might be interesting to add a casual/new runner in these videos !
I couldn't wait for this comparison, so i picked up a pair of each. So far I prefer the Rebel v4 as it fits my wide feet so much better, which makes them supremely comfortable. That being said, I am really enjoying the Novablast 4, so I don't regret buying both.
Hey, I'm wondering how does novablast upper hold up in hot days? I live in tropical country so it's a concern of mine if the upper is quite thick as it can be hot
@@giffarmasabih8108bantu jawab. Masih oke sih. Ga se "gerah" itu sebenernya. Tapi kalo bener2 yg running Siang2 banget baru kerasa agak anget di kaki. Tapi over all masih oke banget
Just ordered another pair of Novablast V3. before they are gone for good, since I like the better pace range compared to what people are saying about the V4. And the V3 eats up miles like crazy, and is especially good at long runs with MP/HMP injections. I still have a working pair of Rebel V2's, but really seems like they are a completely different beast compared to the V4, but I've come to the conclusion that New Balance shoes just aren't for me.
For me I’m nearing 300 miles in novablast I’m a 5”11 190 pound runner..former bodybuilder .. I kill running shoes and these held up pretty well miles 35-125 all felt very fast fyi
Hyperion Max is MUCH less compliant/feels MUCH firmer. I run in both and like both - probably because I don't want every shoe to feel the same underfoot.
I went to the store to buy after reviews nimbus 26 for z2 long runs and recovery runs, when I tried them they were stiff for me, in the end I went with NB 1080 v13, after 2 runs I loved them, the shin pain completely disappeared. Will they be a suitable choice as a rotation for threshold runs and rebel v4 intervals?
I have a pair of Novablast 4, but don't like them as much as the Novablast 3. I also have a pair of Rebel v3, but reserve them for speedwork. I don't really like using them for long runs. I wonder how the Rebel v4 would be for 12-20 mile runs.
After ~300km (~186 miles) midsole on my pair of the rebel v4 degraded so much, so they have no springiness feeling in them anymore and degradation of the foam is very noticeable, they became very dull, and the problem is the most reviewers don't have that much mileage on shoes they are reviewing, same situation with on cloud surfer and on cloud monster, they feels great out of a box but after ~200km you cant feel that midsole anymore, just dull peace of rubber.
Had a similar experience with Hoka Mach 5. Felt fantastic out of the box, very nimble and bouncy, but after a 100 miles they died. I am 200lbs which probably helps, but when I pay 150 dollars for a shoe, I expect a little bit more durability. I also have the Novablast 3 and they still have some life in the midsole even after 200 miles.(Not the biggest fan of the shoe however, because the geometry is pretty flat and I tend to slap the ground with the forefoot). @@Anatoly_Tsvetkov
@Anatoly_Tsvetkov oh man, this is disappointing to read. Love the Rebel line from the 2 and 3 but only bought them at a discount because they do become flat rather quickly. Sad that it's still a problem with the V4.
@@Anatoly_Tsvetkov Thanks for that. I was about to buy them but I won't after reading your comment. I thought a life of a running shoe was more or less 800 km.
Cheers, gents, Needed an alternative to the superblast after Asics UK have let me down, took my money but never delivered then cancelled my order, appaling with customer service also!! Think i need to look at a different brand so NB is on my radar. ordered a Rebel V4 for my non-plated more speedy interval efforts, speed 3 has worn out and that I find a little too soft, and looking to transition to lower drops, the 8mm on the speed felt more like 12+. Thanks again gents 😁
Love a Run Testers video! No interest in the Novablast, but I do love the New Balance, nice width, not quite as long as an Asics shoe for me and the foam is very nice under foot at all paces.
The Rebel V4 is far better than the Novablast v4 - I have both shoes and am loving the rebel v4 a lot more, lighter, more squishy and responsive, maybe for a heavier runner the Nova would be better with a firmer foam, I weigh 66kgs. Sizing I went up a full size to a UK9 I found the UK8 was to short and my toes were touching the front of the shoe just standing in them, half size would have been to small also. I have had no heel rub in the rebel
@@MisterRhul novablast 4. Actually got them today. I will take them on a spin these days. I used 2 pairs of puma until now , one on a low budget and the other is scend pro. They are too firm for my knees, I wanted something soft for them. Will see if novablast are what I am searching for.
@@That_Ramdom they are definitely softer than the Pumas. Overall I am satisfied, got them o a discount (100€) and I consider this is the correct price. Even lower, if I would have payed the full price 140-150€ I think I wouldn't be this happy. The impact on the asphalt is softer anyway, I can run more kms without feeling pain.
Rebel was wide enough for my bunions but really, for me it did nothing when doing workouts like intervals. Felt light but dead. Maybe my footstrike, is to blame, who knows(forefoot).

I’ve been waiting for this comparison
I have both. 50 miles on the Novablasts and 20 on the Rebels, and the Rebel is much better for me so far.
Just ordered the novablast 4 from REI on sale for $88 on Memorial Day! Can’t wait to test them out when they come.
My wide feet, high arches need New Balance from what I've experienced in buying running shoes.

Would be interested in a comparison between the NB and brooks Hyperion Max. Both seem similar but the price difference could be the swaying factor.

Great review guys, would you run a marathon with these shoes?
whats the bodyweight of each of the run testers?
Thanks for the review. have you guys done a comparison between the Novablast 4 and the Superblast?
They have
Older shoe so I imagine a versus won’t happen but curious your thoughts on rebel v4 vs endorphin speed 3?
Could you compare the Novablast 4 vs Saucony Triumph 21 vs Puma Forever run Nitro vs Saucony tempus?
Tempus slightly stiffer. Makes you wanna run slightly faster. Pumas more bouncy. Not bouncy like a nb. But better for daily miles
Every channel i follow must've been sent the rebel, nb4 and sky paris because theres a lot of the same reviews going on
Rebel v4 or triumph 21???
