Was happy to see this. I searched with the most general question “how to remove a stripped screw” never thought someone with the same problem film their problem. What type of drill is that because whatever the solution is I will need to buy one.
Thanks, that's the only reason ai filmed it to help others with the problems I encounter lol. The drill is an old black and decker, nothing fancy. The drill bits I believe were just harbor freight. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! 👍👍
@@BeyondTheScale I'll order a drill today with some screw extractor heads. I'll first try them if they fit, if they don't I'll just drill. Screw extractors will surely be needed for other screws on the floor of the car. Also disassembly and then the assembly should be much quicker and less tiring since I all do things with hand. I have 3 options with the pinon: 1) If the screw extractor works I'll only need a new grub screw and some goes drilling without damage in case extractors didn't work 2) If I drill with damage someone recommended me to buy those heads which open new holes, so I can open an M4 hole 3) Besides all I just want to upgrade from 10t to 13t pinion, it can be a good excuse.
@@Cake_Doge For sure makes for a good excuse lol. Yeah the drill makes life much easier for working on RCs. I generally just use it to pull the screws out then I hand screw them back in to avoid stripping out the hole. 👍👊
@@BeyondTheScale it will be my first time with a drill. I bought a cheap set because 1) it was good for the price, has different heads 2) bad economy. I hope there will be suitable heads for the screws on the car. Hopefully if I can get the thing out I'll check the motor, there is still that. It started to make clicking noise and there is a lot of resistance in movement. I hope it is not more than some basic rust and some bearings needing maintenance.
You can buy reverse drill bits!! Most of the time it will back out the gub screw before it goes through to the shank

@@Cake_Doge Hopefully but you know how that goes with RC cars lol.
"it cant stay stuck if it's liquid" is usually what I abide by - but i cant do that with a $120 castle motor
True lol
Having this problem with my center drive shaft. Broken many drill bits. Trying to fix it for my son and it's being very stubborn
Yeah it becomes a pain especially with some of these tiny screws lol. Hope you have a great Holiday!
I am here for that same shi
@@caydengarrett9960 Really good and expensive drill bits did the job
I just take my dremal and cut it off 😂😂😂
Anything that gets the job done lol. 👍👊👍
@a007raptor_3
Do you cut off the entire pinion?
