Great video man, thanks for sharing the whole process of selling logs. I think it was worth it to haul them in. I'm excited about the trailer deck build. God only knows how many times his angels have done the impossible to keep you safe 😂😂😅. But I like your plan for redoing the whole trailer at once. One and done is the best.

The 313 is about 31000 pounds, the trailer to haul it will be about 10000 pounds, the truck should pull it on flat roads but Jimmy and all of your buddies are gonna be needed to help you stop. Great video.

    • @Bodie2020

As long as the trailer is rated for it and the brakes work on trailer stopping should not be a problem. The truck with a good trailer will handle the dozer easily. I live in the mountains and have pulled a d3 all over the place with my 3500 legally. But no way I would pull the 313 where I live with a pickup. Where u live you can safely do more than I can as long as you act like you have a brain on the road. Watching you vids you are safe and careful.

There were loaded 40k - 50k gooseneck trailers sitting at the scales on I-90 west of Billings. Apparently the ranchers would buy 2000-2002 3/4 ton flatbed Cummins, turn the fuel up and tow these trailers. They would trash the truck, then find another one. This was in 2007-2009 ish. One of the DOT inspectors said there was one of the 3/4 ton trucks that weighed 64,000 lbs.

Another great video ! Hauling that type of weigh with a 3500 pickup truck is ill-advised at best. In an accident a lawyer would have a field day with you. Not worth losing your livelihood or worse injuring some innocent poor bastard…..take it from someone that knows….

I'm glad you're going to put a new deck on the trailer. You don't have enough old decking to start a fire.😂 Are you going to put a sealant on the wood before you put it on the trailer? I did both sides of our decking and it has lasted a years. But I did roll some sealant on it every summer for the first 3 years. It's lasted longer than I thought it would. Your going to have a nice trailer once you fix it up. A little paint and it will look good behind that sweet looking Dodge. Love the color of your truck and those tires and rims really look great. Love those Dodge trucks. Don't let Jimmy work you to hard😂 Be Safe Out There.

I’ve taken a few logs to the saw mill after hurricanes hit and blew trees on my property down. I’ve been to two saw mills and they both paid by the board foot. They used one of those sticks to measure each log and grade them by species.
