On my machine I turn this key on, push the hydraulic lock down and then press the toggle switch back and forth and even the hand controls. You'll see angle bucket go limp. That's how it works for me. Anyway nice job once again brother.
Glad your still able to put out a video every now and then, I could see the sand settling when you were tracking it in, with the help of the time lapse. Would love to see some footage of the boring process.
Lindsey I watched your video the day you posted it. But forgot to like or comment. This medication has me sleeping a lot. LoL One thing is for sure they will have a great entrance to the property. Have you and Jimmy started working on the haul truck yet? Can't wait to see it hauling dirt. Be Safe Out There Buddy
No problem buddy. Hope you're recovering. We haven't got to play on the haul truck yet. We've been busy with the plant shutdown. I'm hoping I can get the 313 back home soon and we can work on my driveway
@@smithworx1091 thanks I'm slowly recovering. It's about a 2 month recovery and 8 months to a year to complete heal. They had to cut me from the middle of my neck down to between my shoulders blades. This is by far the toughest surgery I've had and I've this being 3 on my neck and 2 on my back and about 8 more surgeries. I think I'm just getting old.🤪 But one day at a time.
There’s usually a spot to manually move the auxiliary spool or dump the pressure. There’s more but I can’t remember, brain fog is up with the nerve pain.
Another great job and video Brother . Hey check your shut off solenoid or check the voltage in the 3 wires going to it? Good luck with it and let us know what you find.
I think your right, that truck....(depending on how heavy it is) isnt going to make it very far, some of those trucks are kinda wide as well, they might have to haul in some large balast stone, some areas call it surge.....there is a big logging outfit clearing trees near me in some real mucky, sloppy soil, and thats how they are able to work in that area to get the logs out......good luck brother, catch it on video if ya can.
Knowing my luck, it will be heavy as possible and I'll have to go back over there and get them unstuck lol. That balast stone is pretty expensive around here. But might have to have it
I see you have pretty much all new Cat equipment. And I'm not trying to piss anybody off by asking this question. It's an honest question with no emotion attached so to speak... Are you guys who buy all this Cat equipment and on YT rich behind the scenes, or are you just in debt up to your eyeballs? I owned a couple pieces of new Cat equipment a couple decades ago. Then I retired and sold it all. Then my son turned 18 recently and told me he was interested in doing this work, so I basically went back to work just to help him. Anyway, we're about to purchase a skid steer, and the Takeuchi TL8 is looking pretty good. Checked the price on a brand new, high flow and dealer said 65K. Sounded reasonable to me. The other day I was at the Cat dealer and asked a salesman about a new Cat 279, which is the comparable size to the Takeuchi TL8. He got his calculator out and said, "With the current discount..." and showed me the number on his calculator: $108K. I about shit myself. Cat is currently offering 0% for 48 months, but that equates to a $2250.00 payment just on this one machine. You get 2 or 3 pieces under these terms and you need to be setting aside 10K a month just to make your payments. So I just don't see how all this Cat equipment is being sold to you smaller sized company guys is all. Now back to my original question... Are you rich behind the scenes or in hawk up to your eyeballs?
When I got my machines, they were 30 to 40k cheaper than they are now. I also didn't have daddy to help me out starting a business at 18. If you can't afford Cat then buy cheaper. It's really that simple. I started from absolute nothing and worked for what I have. Thinking someone is rich just because of their equipment is about as shallow and simple minded as you can get. That's just my way of thinking..... with no emotion attached of course.
@@smithworx1091 : It's all good. And of course you showed "emotion" in your response. And that's fine too. But I really meant it when I said I wasn't trying to piss anybody off asking that question. You could have just said the first part about being cheaper when you bought them. And I never 'accused' you of being rich... I was simply asking. And if you would have said you are then I would have said good deal and moved on with life. I'm not the type to be jealous of what other people have. I really wish you would have read my comment and taken it to heart instead of blasting out with a knee jerk reaction. But anyway... And about the 'daddy' thing... LOL... I don't mind helping my kids out (2 girls & 1 boy). I'm not rich but I did pretty well for myself. I was like you said you are, started out with nothing but the clothes on my back, which I had to buy myself. Parents never gave me nothing but ass whoopins and the kind of attitude you just did. Joined the Army to get away from that shit. Thing is, I don't hand shit to my kids. I helped him start the business by putting 15K into it, then we went to work. First thing that happened the company paid me back. We've worked for just over a year now and have saved enough to almost pay cash for the Takeuchi. And it's not that we can't 'afford' Cat equipment. Like I said, I owned only Cat equipment back in my day. I just think they are way over priced, and I don't think it's a sound investment for a smaller company is all. I was expecting the salesman to say 75K or something like that. I new it would be more than the Takeuchi price; just not almost double. Anyway... Carry on man and I hope all goes well for you. And btw... When your boys are old enough to help you, aren't you going to help them out? I'm betting/hoping you will. And then what if some young kid says you're just a 'daddy' helping your kids out? When that day comes around, I hope you stay rational with the conversation like I did with you, instead of giving them a knee jerk pissed off attitude.
My machine doesn't have all the electronics on it as your's does, but I can usually turn on the machine (don't start it), turn on the hydraulic switch, and then cycle the button on the auxiliary hydraulics to bleed the pressure off the lines. I don't know if that would work on yours or not. Stay safe brother.
Good work bro, that truck might be on tracks, some of them are, if you work on the skiddy, video of it getting fixed, would be curious to see why it won't shut off, you got that culert in, they should be able to get that truck down in there now, thanks for sharing an I look forward to seeing the next video 🇺🇲💪🤙👍✊👌
@@smithworx1091 yeah hopefully it is a easy fix for sure, can't be anything to difficult being it won't shut off, sounds like the key switch or maybe a solenoid or something

I need to ask the Cat mechanics. There's got to be a way lol
@@smithworx1091 anything in the owners manual?

You should of just borrowed some dirt from back there in the woods now that you have the off-road haul truck

Hi buddy
What's up bro
Don't know about clay, is that still gonna pump ( what y'all call it?)
Different than what we have in the texas panhandle.
Well I guess I should say not so much sand. This dirt tends to just spread out instead of really holding together
