Looking to buy your very first drawing tablet? In this video, I talk about a couple things to keep in mind when buying a drawing tablet. I also review the XP-Pen Deco Pro XLW Gen 2 drawing tablet, and show off it’s amazing versatility.

🍃 Thoughts on the Deco Pro:
- Versatility is amazing! I love how they give you different options on how to connect it. It also gives you some sort of backup in case one of the methods doesn’t work.
- The shortcut remote is my new favorite thing! I do wish there was a faster way to switch between changing your brush size, zoom in & zoom out, etc.
- The stylus also feels really nice to hold, however it does come with a pen case but no pen stand. It’s not that big of a deal breaker for me, but some might think otherwise.
- Can you play osu with it? You probably could with a smaller tablet, but I haven’t really tried it.
✨ I’m a beginner digital artist, should I get a screen tablet as my first one?
- If you have the money to spend, and the space for it I don’t see why not.
✨ Why does it matter if my tablet is too big for my workspace?
- Well, how are you gonna use it?
- When I bought my screen tablet it took up too much space on my desk, I no longer had any room for my keyboard. I had to creatively find ways where I could put the keyboard, and that created a lot of problems for me ergonomically.
✨ What was your first drawing tablet?
- Wacom One.
- It was the only brand available, and the cheapest one I could find. But nowadays, there’s tons of options, so make sure to compare and do your research as to find the one you like.
- If research sounds like too much of a pain, you could look up your favorite artists and check what kind of tablet they’re using. If you ask politely, they might even reply to any inquiries you have.
