Things I didn't know about, or recorded but somehow cut out of the video?? I should fire me honestly 🤦♀ Face: Clicking near the forehead from the side view allows you to adjust the depth of the entire face Face detail edit mode: You can move the irises up and down as well as resize (same area) When moving the eyelids up and down you can also drag side to side to change the curve Earlobes can be adjusted as well as the angle of the ear The middle bridge of the nose can be moved independently from the side view as well as the top of the bridge between the eyebrows The upper and lower eyelids can also be adjusted from the side Adjusting the inner eye corner can also change the shape of the eyelid if you drag side to side Things I have been told you can do in CAS but I have been unable to verify: Move the nose out of the center of the face from the side profile Keep them coming 👇 I'm already going to have to make an updated version of this video next year because I'm anticipating a huge update to CAS with the new expansion pack 😅
If you grab the eye lids near the middle in detail mode you can move side to side to change the curvature of the lids, it's one of my favorite details. This is a great video, I learned a lot, I completely forgot you could move the ears
What? The computer lagging with this game? Ridiculous 🙄 All kidding aside, I did spend a lot of time before recording looking super close at everything to see what was changing and what wasn't, and the head being highlights and shading kinda surprised me.
Fantastic, so comprehensive, and typical thorough Sahm - which we love. ❤️ I’ve finally learnt how to do something I’ve been trying to figure out how to do for AGES, plus a few bonus new things! I’m so excited to maybe not quit CAS in frustration next time. 🎉
I'm so glad this could help! I even learned some things, like how the detail edit mode jaw movement is more like rotating the jaw and the normal edit mode just moves it. Fascinating stuff 😅
Everyone always hates the mac makeup but the blush is the best i use it on every single sim i also use the lipstick and eyeshaddow but you have to use the sliders there as the swatches arent great
Great video Sahm! Very comprehensive and helpful. One thing I noted that I don’t think you mentioned is that in detail edit mode you can actually also change the length of the earlobes if you pull up and down on them.
Some ones you missed, change the depth of the face from the side, change the angle and heigh of bridge of the nose from side detail, change the length of the earlobes from detail, change the angle of ears from side detail, change the angle and slope of upper eyelid from the inner corner in detail, change the angle of upper lower eyelids not just height, from side detail can change the depth of the upper eyelid. Apart from those great job
Some things were the same in detail as well as "regular" edit mode so I skipped going over them a second time for time reasons. However, some of these I did not know about. I will add them to the pinned comment. I am surprised I missed so much because I was clicking on everythingggg lol
I've been playing TS4 for years and there is so many details I just found out through this video! I am not a CAS person, I usually just randomize a sim until I got a nice one and change the hair, outfits, etc. After watching this I promise myself I will make a beautiful sim from scratch ☺
I also learned a lot making this video! I wanted to know how many things you could change in CAS and basically figured I might as well make a video about it lol
I had no idea about many of these options. I have always relied on the nose and eye options but I don’t like any of them so this video is a real game changer for me. My sims can be customised finally!! Yay🎉🎉 thank you so much for this video!! Your videos and easy to follow instructions are a real breath of fresh air. ❤❤❤
My cas secret is to download an unlock sim from the gallery then delete them then use the debug/unlock face paints and use the sliders. The batuu face paints can be used to give your sim a custom skin tone, the city living human statue face paint if you get the sliders just right its not noticable but their skin is shiny like a Twilight vampire
@@sahm_and_bean I have a handful of gallery sims showing it like Mrs doubtfire uses the city living one as the pie mask, twilight uses it for shine, Ursula uses it for shine, Vana alien uses the batuu one to have purple skin and all without cc!
Wow, so much information 😅 Now I finally know how to create alternative outfits, thanks! Sorry if it’s actually in the video and I missed it: is there an option to copy the outfit from one category to another? Like when you had all the same outfits in your tags to riches? I usually randomize and adjust. Just yesterday I had a hot weather outfit that made for a great posh exercise outfit, and it’s tedious to find the individual pieces…
There's not! It's so annoying! I also love doing the exact same outfit for my rags to riches challenges, so I do the clothes kind of like the makeup: pick something in everyday, apply it to all outfits, go back to everyday to pick the next item, and so on. It's tedious 😔

Face:
Clicking near the forehead from the side view allows you to adjust the depth of the entire face
Face detail edit mode:
You can move the irises up and down as well as resize (same area)
When moving the eyelids up and down you can also drag side to side to change the curve
Earlobes can be adjusted as well as the angle of the ear
The middle bridge of the nose can be moved independently from the side view as well as the top of the bridge between the eyebrows
The upper and lower eyelids can also be adjusted from the side
Adjusting the inner eye corner can also change the shape of the eyelid if you drag side to side
Things I have been told you can do in CAS but I have been unable to verify:
Move the nose out of the center of the face from the side profile
Keep them coming 👇

I never realized that head shape changes the lighting. I always thought my computer was lagging so the changes weren't showing.

I love ur energy, i already knew most of the things in the video but i watched it cuz of ur energy lol
Thank you!

I just found so many things that I never knew, thank you so much. Love your videos xx
Mission accomplished then! Thanks 🥰

The makeup trick is EXACTLY what I do to make my sims look more detailed without having cc
I really feel like it makes a huge impact!
The lips of the face...as opposed to what other lips Sahm? Hmmmmmm? Shoulder lips?
I was thinking about "the eyes, the nipples of the face" 😅
I’m over here cackling. 😂😅

If you ever need a laugh put your sim in a costume then play with walkstyles my favorite is hotdog with creepy walk style
That does sound hilarious
