I was born in 1972 so I got to play with the original Strawberry Shortcake. I had two. One that was ragdoll looking and a baby that when you squeezed her belly, strawberry scent came out of her mouth. I loved them both.

So I went to google to get more info about the… interesting..daily login rewards, and the reason you got those orange pillows is bc there’s apparently a glitch right now that makes it so that if you have the color filters on, the daily reward objects will still come up and be sorted in the color filters like the other objects! even though they aren’t out yet, or if you haven’t claimed them. Which is kinda nice, bc if you put all the color filters non, then sort by unlocked objects, or whatever it’s called, all the daily reward items will come up! I’m sure that the sims team is gonna patch that out in the next update tho. The pillows are one of the rewards if your confused 😅

Amazing build as always, Syd! I think I agree with you about something about this reward system feeling a bit disquieting. I feel like for how much people have paid for the base game/expansions/game packs/kits, etc. in the past, being given an extra swatch for something you've already paid for feels a bit skeevy. I could see it working if they made it a bit more like the Sims 3 reward store where you could get brand new items or worlds in exchange for points that you can accrew through login bonuses and the like, but EA have been cutting corners a lot in recent years.

I tried to do a house like this for Raspberry Torte and I wanted to flip my laptop over these round walls. I tried to use pink bushes to make the roof look like a giant raspberry and it just…. Failed. I aspire to have your level of creativity 😭

This was super fun to watch as a girl who grew up on strawberry shortcake! One request though: I wish your would do a review/summary of the house at the end because during the build it’s kinda hard to tell what level you are working on and whatnot, but I wish we could see the finished look at the end of the video instead of having to go back and find where you were building it instead. Just a preference tho! 💕
