Good restoration! Definitely a vac you wouldn't mind getting knocked about a bit. What do you use to clean the commutators? I've got a UD motor that has a bit of an arcing problem, and it looks like the commutators just need a good clean.
It looks to be made from parts as it’s got the plastic bumper but the blower port is on the centre of it the back but didn’t they have the 3F motors but that has a D2 looks to of been made from parts but by 1990 the blower port as you said it’s defo be n made from multiple machines
Can anyone help I have one an nv250 one of the very first in beige and brown! It worked brilliant until just went pop-started tripping electric and smoke came out, opened up and it’s burnt out a part inside the handle on the wiring near switch it’s a cylinder that says “mains filter unit”…….could it just be a case of replacing that? If so anyone know where to get one as can’t find a single example of that part for sale anywhere online and more recent ones don’t appear to have that in them? if a numatic motor gets wet is it still ok to use once it has dried
