The scariest statistic to me, is that overall, regular season and playoffs now, we have played the Panthers 8 times.... and we dont have a single regulation win over them. We had 1 shootout win over them in regular season and the 2 OT wins this series. Not a single regulation win. That is scary in 8 total games.

He literally got into real arguments several times with Steve Sommers. I haven't lived in New York in 20 years but I remember well the early years of WFAN and listened to it up until I left New York in 2005.

This team has shown resiliency all year long, and it's a 3-2 series. All very close games, even though we've been out played a bunch. We have had our moments too.

The Panthers' (and Carolina's) style is undoubtedly effective in a playoff, but seems mathematically designed by an AI bot to simply muck things up, prevent skilled players from displaying said skills, and win more from stamina/execution. From a neutral standpoint, a Bruins/Rangers series would have been so much more watchable. No one wants to see 85% fore-checking with the puck between two skates behind the net all day.
Except tons of people do and are definitely enjoying this kind of physically focused series. Just because you aren't doesn't mean you now get to speak for everybody.
