House House could just casually drop the a game with the exact same theme but a different location and tons of people would play the game all over just to be a menace goose.
While I think the small-rural-town vibe is impeccable, I would love this. I think there was an idea floating around at some point for like a medieval court? Like, princess-turned-into-goose and decides to make that everyone's problem.
The honk into the microphone was hilarious. Seriously though the script, art and wholesome nature of this was VERY WELL DONE! Wallace and Gromit vibes captured!
At times like these, just about the only thing to say is the Untitled Goose Game introductory sentence: “It’s a beautiful day in the village, and you are a horrible goose.” I love this so much.
Yeah, I think Thank Goodness You're Here has more mileage as a show. It would be a pythonesque South Park style sitcom set in Barnsworth. You can't have a Goose Game show without a naughty goose and that would probably start to feel repetitive after a while.
Sure is funny how nobody reads the description and then comments like this is them pitching a pilot and not them putting out an old concept they've long since binned.
I don't know why, but just a "slice of life" series with this darn goose popping in with weird ad breaks would be extremely fun to just binge through. So many sneaky little details there were, gah idk this just makes me really wish this to be an actual thing someday.
If Another Untitled Goose Game were to happen, I think some concepts here would be great to try to translate into that entry; the artstyle is very cute and seeing your chaos in a playback program would be very cool to see
House House, please release extra levels to untitled goose game or a sequel. I feel like this would revive the game’s popularity and it’d probably be amazing.
As a programme, it would have been really one note. Something is going on in the village, the goose shows up and trashes it. If that didn't happen, it wouldn't be UGG. I do think it could have worked as a one off special. 60 or 90 minutes, maybe. A bigger menace comes to the village and the goose, intentionally or unintentionally takes it down. The goose and this hypothetical menace or villain could almost be a Looney Tunes kind of relationship. Bug Bunny Vs Elmer Fudd, Road Runner Vs Wile E Coyote etc. Depends if you'd rather want the goose to just be a goose or a character aware of what's happening.
A segment for every character in the game, with some bonus new characters, and maybe bonus fluff on the tv network framing device. Like that the Goose saves the town somehow by giving them national attention
This gives me the sort of charm that Pingu did (and might today.) I dunno about full segments, but even mini shorts like I used to see of that show on some channels between programs. All in all, I'm glad we got the game. Playing as Goose continues to be cathartic when I need to let off steam! ❤
Wonderful, even to anyone who hasn't played the game. I'm getting the same cozy vibes from this that Thank Goodness You're Here provides. This must have been on the mood board when designing that game.
@@rfurthegamer3412 Public Information Film (or a Public Service Announcement). This one is reminiscent of the 70s UK PIF telling kids not to play near electrical substations.
There's so many great moments in this, but one in particular people might overlook is, in the channel-flipping intro: "Roll the dice, move your counter, then... WATCH OUT FOR GARY!" (screaming)
I feel like it would definitely be viable to do something along those lines, but it would be a challenge to differentiate it from Aardman's Shaun the Sheep series, which is a tough thing to compete with and uses traditional stop motion. I guess that it could be pitched to Aardman as a way to experiment with the types of animation techniques used by people like Worthikids who does excellent imitations of stop motion in Blender, as I know that they're investing in 3D animation in order to supplement their trademark animation style and integrated it heavily into the sequel to Chicken Run (though it was a bit jarring at points due to the different frame rates of the rendered sequences). I feel like Aardman wouldn't be planning to transition fully to cgi, but it could allow them to make some additional projects with a shorter lead time and reduce the amount of risk to the business overall for doing their films, which take multiple years to develop and animate and require a massive amount of investment to put together.
What a fantastic short. Boy I wish I could have had the chance to see a full series of such chaos. There's some real sense of comical timing in there. Beautiful short!
This perfectly encapsulates oldschool BBC/Grampian programming (Especially love the nod to the infamous Electric plant PIF) On top of that, the artstyle, animation, voice acting, comedic timing, its all top notch, sad that there won't be more, but this is a terrific short, thanks for sharing🖤💖💖
i don't think the goose was like this all the time, as there might be a reason that it hates the mint Margaret plant, it could be that Margaret had annoyed the goose and could have poked it with a broom and now, the goose wants revenge, the same could be with the boy, the shop keeper, the garden owners, and the pub owner.
Love the idea of a west-country English town being terrorised by a goose. I can just imagine my grandparents village being scared by this (they live in Somerset).
i would of done it focusing more on the goose getting up to random antics like the game rather then focusing on 2 random people and the goose messing with them, i can see why it never took off from the pilot stage. Getting wallace and gromit vibes which is a good thing.
I would love to see more of these one-off slice of life with the goose again 🧡🧡🧡 The game still holds a special place in my heart and getting to see that wacky fowl just brings me joy in dark times.
I would watch and endless supply of these. It really fleshes out that, in this world there are geese, they are smart as humans, and there is little regular people can do to stop them. Fantastic
this feels way to real, reminds me of some actual bbc 2 shows during daytime in the early 90s 🤣 Also the whole bit with the mum and her daughter... got some real footage of me just bawling my eyes out on a rocking horse as im being rocked and my mum just " *oh... isnt that fun...?* "🤣
House House could just casually drop the a game with the exact same theme but a different location and tons of people would play the game all over just to be a menace goose.

In all seriousness that's an amazing concept, the goose doing the opposite of what the townspeople want
I already do...
I am _so_ glad I wasn't the only one thinking this. House House/Coal Supper collab when?
@@WackoMcGoose true. They both already collaborated with Panic, no wonder they remind me of each other.
I could imagine this show being a PBS or public access parody where everything starts ordinary but a goose just causes havoc every program lol

The Goose would fit right in the Barnsworth
The honk into the microphone was hilarious.

Imagine a collab between Wallace and gromit and the untitled goose game

Maybe not a show, but I wouldn't mind seeing more shorts on the channel. The marketplace would be amazing!

Definitely more of a shorts sort of show
Same! I'd love to just get shorts and that'd be fine!
I love how socially awkward the famer is but neither of them decide to call off the interview when the goose keeps causing Mischief
when that carrot got chucked through the window i lost it
Same, I really wasn’t expecting it to just throw it like that lol
Peace was *once again* never an option
Peans was never an option (for breakfast soup)
After all these years and it's still a menace. Never change, goose. Never change.
Sure is funny how nobody reads the description and then comments like this is them pitching a pilot and not them putting out an old concept they've long since binned.
Or even literally the title, I gathered that much just from the title alone
Let a man dream.
“Then watch out for Garry”
*garry then proceeds to brutally maul the child, he has been given 12 years in prison.*

So many sneaky little details there were, gah idk this just makes me really wish this to be an actual thing someday.
Cool stuff, I understand why the concept is hard to work with for a longer episodic project but it's quite nice for a one off thing
They should do it like that one aardman animated shorts where they interview animals over dumb things out of context
Creature comforts or something
The goose honk in the mic was honestly so good XD
The bit with the carrot and the window was just a tiny little masterpiece of comedic timing.
Oh man, i missed this menace.
I hope the goose keeps following this reporter and is causing on-camera trouble all through the village
Peak video game adaptation

I love how at 1:00 the goose senses an oportunity to do misschief and just scrambles it's way over
I dunno, I could see a full season of this being a hidden gem on Netflix.
I adore how patient these people are about the Goose's antics.
I know! They figure it's just their cross to bear. It's almost like they're _friends_ with the goose, despite its mischief.
The greatest video game villain of all time: The goose from Untitled Goose Game.
House House, please release extra levels to untitled goose game or a sequel. I feel like this would revive the game’s popularity and it’d probably be amazing.
Having the Goose in the background and striking fast gives it more of a horror vibe. This is one demonic Goose...
Deffo works better as shorts. Keep it to 7-10 minutes, golden.
i mean, consider the length of some modern show episodes if you're not counting those dramas and such
And to think, this proof of concept would go on to become the smash hit game Thank Goodness You're Here!

I LOVE THIS ANIMATION STYLE SO MUCH
This is *fucking brilliant*. Thank you for sharing. I'm extraordinarily sad this never took off as a show. I'd watch it over and over.

I am devastated that this never came to be.
I feel bad for the gardener. Also, the reporter was way too negligent. We, as the Goose, never cause such destruction as the reporter allows here.

What a delight! I hope this signals more goose mischeif to come!
If I was an exec for a tv broadcaster I would immediately demand 10 seasons
Appreciate that the goose is treated as a part of the community and not as a local scoundrel 😂
The reporter just accepting the gifts from the goose got a chuckle out of me, it captured reporters dealing with animals on camera perfectly haha!

This is way to funny, the comedic timing is just perfection
