I just found your channel because I love what I have seen you create on Tim Holtz channel. I’m a 63 year old retired teacher who has just found this amazing world of paper crafts!!! I’m in love ❤️. It’s taken awhile to figure out a “junk journal “ and other terminology but I can honestly say I like it all! I’ve spent a fortune in last couple of years on it. Thank goodness for my supportive husband! In fact he drove me the hour to the city with HL and TM for my first purchases. I’ve painted on everything from clothing to wood; bought a scroll saw; oil and watercolor paint also. Honestly nothing has been as exciting as paper crafts line of art…maybe watercolor…lol Thank you , honey, for sharing your wonderful talents with us!!! I’m so excited to get these pencils!!! I have Derwent Inktense and Carandache but there’s nothing like Distress color pallete! I’m just rambling. Really appreciate your inspiration and the time you give to share. It’s made a huge difference in my life at a time I needed it! Hugs from West Texas Nancy Rolfe
Thank you Nancy for your kind words! Sounds like you have a great husband who supports your hobby. I have the other pencils too, but you are right...the Distress palette is KEY :)
Thank you for sharing your tips.Never would I have thought to color around sentiments. Also so happy I found you.I will be telling my crafting friends about your channel. Can't wait for your next video.
What a great video. I was so happy to see that you have a channel…. Your work and ideas are so fresh and inspiring. Please make more videos. Thank you.
So much fun! It’s amazing how much a little stroke of color can add to a word, that little extra “pop” that you mentioned! Thanks for the tip on adding shading to the feather, you are sooo good with color!! I’m going to be at my desk playing with pencils! Erica❤ (I also mixed all my pencils together in a jar, I always smile when Tim mentions getting rid of the box with “stadium seating” for his crayons!) E
I've never seen sentiments colored in like that. They look wonderful. Your channel popped up on my feed and I recognized you as one of Tim's makers. You do a phenomenal job!
Love how you colored the feathers and I have the feather die and can't wait for my crayons to arrive. Fun, fun video. Your ideas are just great. I like the tip below of saving the shavings from sharpening the pencils.
Hi Cheiron. Caught these pencils on sale at SSS. Lucky me. Your video gave me some additional ideas. I did like you and found a box that fit all three sets cause that's how I work too. Love the "color around a sentiment stamp" idea!!!
Thank you for sharing these tips! I'm new to watercolor pencils and thinking that I'd really like to try these rather than other watercolor pencils I love the distress colors!
Thanks. I bought these and so far not impressed, but I am sure it is my learning curve. Coloring on stamps did not work well, but totally stained my stamps which drives me nuts. If anyone has any idea which stamp cleaner might help my poor stamps, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
I would give them a good play session for a few weeks. Try different techniques and surfaces too. May I ask what kind/brand of stamps you are using? Are you using them with water, because the pigment should really come off with water no problem :)
Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks! I didn’t know that we could download Ranger’s color charts, now I know. I too purchased all three sets of Ranger watercolor pencils and absolutely love them! Thank you so much!👍🏽💚💙💜

Great idea to highlight letters of the sentiments. I love the look that gives!
Thank you! Such an easy way to add color.
I’ve been using gel pens to do these highlights…. I’ll have to try these pencils when I get them .
