I have watched this video many times and learned and played. Today, I got a finished card that I really like, using things I had and all the Distress W/C pencils. You rock!
Another BIG fan of yours and your techniques, at 78 years old, but especially appreciative for your use of this butterfly die and detailed drawing with the permanent pen. I have been searching forever for an older Memory Box butterfly die Chloe #98352 to no avail. I was able to get the shadow layer, Tristan, and have been racking my brain for some way to duplicate Chloe, whether by making a stencil for use over Tristan, or some other technique, but your hand drawing, as time consuming as it may be, is an amazing alternative. Thank you for sharing your videos with your loyal followers.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm especially happy that I inspired you with your project! I know it will turn out amazing and if you care to share it with me, I'd love to see it!
Hi Juliana ... just love how you make your projects ... used the new watercolor pencils (I have all 6) and "painted" a Noof card from Lavinia stamps with the set ... so much fun ... thanks for your inspirations.
Thank you Juliana for another great video. Your calm voice and the way you explain what you are doing make your tutorials so inspiring. I love your style. I live in Scotland so TH products are so much more expensive here! But they are worth it 😊
I'm also glad that Ranger & Tim have released the complete set of pencils as some of my favourites were not in the original release. Always looking for more ways to use them . Thanks❤
I love how you did that background. I had #1,2,3 and thought nope not getting any more. WEEELLLLLLLL - I caved and got the new 3 sets- I love these, now I need to decide if I'm going to store them all by color family- I think that might be easier. tfs.
I love all your little tips, tricks & hints! Coming from a TH expert makes them extra useful! I didn’t mean for that to sound as if I didn’t care for your lovely butterfly. No, never that! I always love how you put the whole pic together with careful use of color! The little extra touches give it the depth & realism of an actual butterfly! So wonderful! Thank you for sharing your talents with us! Erica❤ I especially like the ruler tip, so simple, yet I doubt I would ever think of that myself!❤
Thank you Juliana for another video which combines both creativity and practical advice. Using the pencils on the script stamp looks really great on top of the inked background. I'm glad Tim warned about the pencils staining stamps as I thought it was me being a clutz when I turned my Tiny Print stamp an interesting shade of purple the other day 😊
Beautiful card! 🧡 I loved all your techniques and especially loved the hand drawn lines on the butterfly die cut. That was brilliant! 😃 Thank you Juliana!
I cannot tell you how often I reach for that Tim Holtz ruler. It's so helpful for centering. Thanks for showing the different ways you're using your pencils. I'm stuck on the shavings in the half pan as watercolors. I need to branch out. Beautiful final product.
Juliana, this is beautiful! Course I do love butterflies and the colors you chose are perfect! I did not know that tip about using my ruler....that's a great idea. I always learn so much from the makers. TFS, Joan
I love this fabulous card😍 so amazing how you drew and colored that gorgeous butterfly and that background looks so great 😎 thank you so much for these great tips and inspiration, Juliana❣️
Just keep playing and try to enjoy the process. I certainly didn't figure it out on the first go around. I actually created the background for this card about 5 times before I got to the one I ended up sharing here!
Have literally just stumbled upon you, by what has become a VERY happy accident while looking for something else....am now off to spend the evening watching as many of your videos while hubby is watching his snooker ❤
Beautiful card!! What is the stamp positioned (not sure what to call it) did you use? I noticed it is not linked. The thing you used to hold the stamp and flip it on to the card that makes it easy to restart in same spot. 🤷♀️ I hope you understand what I am asking about. 😆
Hi! I am SO sorry for the delay in responding. I used the MISTI Stamping Platform ldli.co/e/kqjrd7m It is a tool that seriously changed my stamping game and I really don't do much stamping without it. Thanks for pointing out that I had left it off my supply list. I have now added it.
Thank you for your kind words! That craft mat is in my supply list in the description box. It is my favorite for working with all things inky! It’s the Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Replacement Non-Stick Mat for the Glass Media Mat ldli.co/e/073qyol Hope that helps!
@@JulianaMichaels oh yes! My Goldens loved squeaky toys. The dog I have now is a beagle mix and has zero interest in toys. Just wants head scratches and belly rubs all day. She would howl if I tried to make videos and ignored her pleas for attention 24/7. Love your videos.

I haven't purchased the distressed crayons because I wasn't sure how to use them. These were all great ways to apply them to projects.

It does come in quite handy! I haven't tried the shavings myself. Love that there are so many options for using them!
So pretty. Thanks for the tutorial Juliana. Love your style and colour choices.

@@JulianaMichaels Thank you so much! I don't need the glass mat to make use of that right?
@@jimk8353 Nope! I use it on top of my Scrapbook.com Self Healing Mat. You can use it on top of anything you like.
I only have the scorched timber pencil. Ordering the 6 sets next week. Great techniques. Did your sweet dog supervise? 😂
Enjoy them once they arrive! She is always supervising. I just have to limit her access to the squeaky toys! 😂

PAPILLION (butterfly) … “pap-e-yon” the double L in French is a Y sound like in Spanish … Paella
Obviously I don’t know my French. thanks for sharing!
What kind of paper are you using?
I’m using Distress Watercolor Paper. For future reference, I list my supplies in the description box below the video.
