    Great video! Very interesting for me, I never used a dry-washer before. We have enough water here in the Swiss mountains, currently even too much 🤠. Hello from a Swiss gold prospector 🤠👍

      In Arizona as you can see we have to hole in our own water. Dry washing unless you have a recirculation system is the only way to do any kind of gold mining and prospecting. It is a lot of fun, but can be quite a pain. As you get very filthy from all of the dust lol But I’m so grateful you found the video interesting

      @@ElleyKnowsRocks Yeah, I imagine, it can be a pain. But I never found an easy way to find gold yet :). That's why it's so cool 💪. Yeah it sure was interesting 👍. Looking forward to watch more of your videos!

      Up away from the water line.you can where the water went up to during high floods.you can crevice and detect for nuggets too.as long as it's on the flood plain.on the higher benches along the river.

    Great adventure!! Got one myself. I dry-wash in a little canyon off a bigger one. I got mine for privacy. There's nothing like running a big noisy Keene and having somebody walk up behind you while you got your ear phones on and tapping you on your shoulder. This way nice and quiet. Thanks.

    Glad you made this video, I was looking at Desert Drywashers. But since acquiring a couple books by Sam Radding I decided to build my own. How ever it is really good to know just how effective a puffer can be. And I like the rhythm it produces, may have to use it for a click track 120 bpm.

    I give you props, I can't take that 110 degree heat so I'm done gold prospecting till it cools off again, it's still fun to go out to your secret spots for rockhounding after a good rain though👍

    • @ElleyKnowsRocks
      @ElleyKnowsRocks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for giving me props. I love it just after it rains in Arizona it washes off all the dust and you can find some really great minerals that way. It makes it extremely convenient for her rockhound. However after it rains you can’t dry wash. Because the dirt is too sticky and gums up a dry washer so you have to wait till it’s dry. It’s a catch 22 lol

      @@ElleyKnowsRocks 🤔Wouldn't it be cool if you could some how use the flash flood storms to your advantage, build a very strong gold traps on bedrock, go clean them out after rains, I wonder if that would work, like drilling it into the bedrock, probably not with all the clay that would build up, still a cool thought though, love your videos unicorn, hope to see more, take care.

    Great video. I switched to the Keene 160 “mostly” dustless. I love dry washing especially here in AZ where water is scarce but hate how much dust gets in my eyes and everywhere but the Keene 160 and the larger 190 are awesome drywashers and I’m not losing much gold if any the few test I’ve done at home I’m getting everything I’m putting in it Great content I gave you guys a sub keep up the great content. Where in AZ are you guys ? Where up in Prescott area. Heavy pans my friends

    "inefficient way to find gold" Not true at at all !

    • @ElleyKnowsRocks
      @ElleyKnowsRocks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I feel like it’s not near as efficient as a high banker or a good sluice. You can get a lot of material that surfs off. But if you do have a good dry washer and you have your angle right and your vibration and your weight perfect you don’t lose too much. I work with some people that do an awesome job and their recovery is freaking spot on. Mine is not that great with this homemade dry washer yet, but it is going to get better. :) thank you so much for stopping by though I appreciate it.
