Not only harming the pk community because less pvmers are now going into wildy, pkers and jagex thought we nerf nbulwork and we nerf black dhide then they'll be forced to risk more or risk goddhide, not realizing those people will just go into the wildy alot less for content now, and black dhide was a tier 70 armour side by side with justiciar bandos and armadyle but yet before its nerf had 1/2 to 1/4th the stats of those it had stats of adamant armour plus magic def, the magic def is really what upset the pkers, it was never over powered it was just cheap and they hated no risk and cheap things, before nbulwork nerf it was like 4m then 1m now 8 to 10m and it's still a completly useless item, all the things said in this video are already accomplished better with bgs or dwh, why waste a spec with nbulwork lowering 10% when u could lower 30% or higher, it's still useless youtubers really need to stop saying things are op because we dont need anymore damn nerfs, jagex gets a slight whiff that something might be construed as powerful or useful and isnt worth 500m+ they nerf on the spot now

A combo that costs like 10k, you could splash most freezes, and prevent a lot of damage from ranged/melee without even properly switching prayers. Reducing defense was good. Perhaps too powerful offensively. I bet changing the attack speed a tick or 2 slower would fix it if you feel there's an issue.

The wildy being dead is a much deeper problem than just this, and properly addressing that requires rebalancing gear appropriately. People only going into wildy because they can do so with little to no risk for a reward is a bad thing. Losing those people from going when gear is rebalanced isn't a bad thing.
it's still a great tank item. it was just too strong for the price. a few mil for an item which pretty much makes you *unkillable* in a 1v2? pretty op.
I feel like gwd dolo methods are going to be super strong with this setup. Gear the alt with max tank gear and bulwark. Can spec the boss and lower stats of pretty much everything in the room and still deal good damage to the boss.
What's amazing about this is that the dev's on it didn't test it one single time to make sure it was working properly. If you stat checked just once after speccing something (assuming it was in multi or big) you'd see that it reduced the stats by too much because it would be 5% and then 5% of 95% not 10%.

I did that and it fucking sucks. I still eat too much damage thanks to Fagex not wanting defensive gear to be defensive. Better to just bring your best weapon and dfs/ely if you want extra defense bonus
yeah meleed everything for the bloodfury heals unless there was a ranger/mage stacked then sometimes id do the step out hit thing with ACB. just took in ACB + arma top for jad+ waves, also took death charge on arceuss spell book for more specs

How do you deal with nibblers with your dinh setup? I tried going through waves but it seems difficult without a reliable aoe attack like barrage. Do you wait for you spec to recharge after every wave?

I don't think you're quite correct when you say the spec drains based on the original level or I have misunderstood. I have tried to use Bulwark to do a no BGS Corp Solo and it definitely drains the mage level based upon current level. It's possible to get the level down to under 80 but much slower than BGS.
So did you just melee everything in the inferno with bulwark? Did you pray the whole time or only after wave 35? I would love an easy laid back way to get to jads. I'm so tired of fighting the waves and flicking my damn fingers off.
Yeah pray mage mostly and use eldritch orb to keep your prayer up, it’s a lot slower than flicking like 4 hours to jad in this but that’s before the buff. Probably 2-3 now, but people can do it in under 2.
I went 8 restores rest brews seemed fine with death charge and eldritch nightmare staff. that combo is crazy just like unlimited prayer points. but if you dont have a kingdom divided id go with 9 restores and rest brews
You're def still gonna wanna bring a stam, bastion and range swap for the last waves, but this method seems like its gonna make inferno much more accessible to players, esp if they're struggling on wave solving
I just realized something now... Dinh's Bulwark will have HIGHER accuracy than an Abyssal Bludgeon... And now make Nightmare more noob friendly... hrm...

I cannot believe everyone does not use one of these in multi slayer, those tasks take a fraction of the time. I got a 200 ankou task to take something like 14mins BEFORE the nerf/buff.
I was just getting Fighter Torso in early september on my main and i was considering to buy a Bulwark for tank purposes. But i thought 5 mil price too much of investment for an item that will have only couple niche uses at my level.
it is. it also is beyond frustrating when one of the nechs isnt hit and i still gotta whip out my bp :D also killing them faster than spec recharge, so every now and then i gotta tag individually. still fun qol to use bulwark haha

The spec works as intended; it's just glitched and hits your main target twice when you use your special attacak. So you reduce the main targets stats by 5%; then you reduce it again by 5%.
It says in the text current value tho. Which would check current stats E.g if a NPC is at 50/100 str it should only be -5 str levels for 2 hits, but currently it’s -10 It goes from the max every time
@@bekt7910 I'm just assuming it's applying the debuff for each hit (-5% + -5%) incorrectly, while also ignoring it's current stats in the check. If they fix the double hit issue, it should be a little better.
She'll probably wind up being the first of a new breed of boss that rapidly restores its stats to prevent this kind of cheesing. I mean I love how good these items are now, but there definitely needs to be some preventative measures taken to keep Nex from being subject to this.
Keep in mind that a boss like Nex is likely going to have a mechanic that rapidly restores her stats, similar to how Nightmare works. I’d imagine they are likely going to create Nex as a pretty challenging boss, maybe even render DWH/BGS useless altogether there
@@CalisthenicTraining that’s what it was back then, claws have seem some rise on the market with the pvm demand/merchants. Who knows how Nex will be in OS. I’m sure nobody anticipated elder maul/craws bow being meta at Phosani so it’s possible something niche will end up being pretty useful there.
I did a trip recently and I'm a pretty experienced tank. Was pretty great but I still think I prefer my usual setup of full justiciar with tent whip and avernic defender. Although definitely don't need to walk under with dinh's, and surprisingly accurate.

instead of arclight specs you could use dinhs specs but the DWH and BGS is for lowering defence which the dihns doesn't do so you would still need atleast one of those or the arclight and dihns, might be a niche use for ironmen if they sniped one in a raid but for the average player I dont reckon it would be more viable than the standard spec routine
new training at nightnare? get the power that give unlimited spec for a bit and bulldoze through a few bosses at once, even could use it at corp in groups
And before someone says 'oh no its so broken' you get it from raids, not some slayer monster. Its not the best for skilled player who can do much more damage with other weapons but its best for noobs who cant play the game 'properly' and have to tank many hits.

Because they didn't think about it. Snakeskin Body now has better melee defenses than Green and Blue D'hide for example. Hell, even regular leather vambraces are better than Green D'hide vambraces. So the devs who did this litterally just have no clue how the game works

I must not be understand the spec? How does 10 specs at nex make it have no stats? It reduces 10% of the current stat I would assume. I think it basically works similar to the arc light although a bit more powerful. I think I'm just dumb af
10% of the highest stat atm, even if you miss, jagex messed up the code a little bit. It’s supposed to be 5 or 10% of the current if you hit. But atm it’s 10% even with 2 zeros and not current stat
I did an hour of testing, you're a bit off in a few places. 1. The stacking is multiplicative. It reduced by 5% per (successful) hit splat from the previous value. 2. The stacking is wonky, it'll reduce by 10% on a double hit, I believe due to 2x 5% calucations taking place on the same tick. 3. It doesn't apply the reduction on failure. I can see this consistently. 2x 0 hit splats drains no stats. 4. The reduction is broken as it never appears to drain 1 stat. It'll drain Strength/Attack OR Magic/Range. Never just 1 at a time, which the tooltip says it only drains 1. Here is the data for a `me (hardmode)` in the NMZ (one sample among many) 225/223 (att/str) -> 2 hit spec -> 203/212 (-10%)-> 2 miss spec -> 203/212 (0%)-> 1 hit, 1 miss spec -> 192/201 (5%) -> 2 hit spec -> 171/180 (10%)

So that means we're nerfing the T Bow too, right? And Ancestral? And the Scythe? Because this all comes from raids too, you know. These items deserve to be this strong, especially combined. We're talking about FOUR ultra-rares from two different raids encounters to make this happen. I'd say this is a reasonable power level for combining the forces of FOUR RARE REWARDS from raids.
You CAN "hit" for 0.... If you roll accuracy and hit but the damage roll is 0 it still counts as a hit. Most specs work like that, eg: you can spec a 0 with the sgs but still return HP and pray. That's not the same as missing and getting a 0
Yeah tested a few times and it was successfully lowering on zeros every time. It can’t be just rolling 0s. Someone said yesterday jagex has hotfixed it
Corps highest skill is magic and the others aren’t the same level 350 vs 320 att str so it would only lower mage I think? Maybe if you leave the area and come back it would recheck the stats, I’m not 100% sure I’ll check that today

Reason being is because the orientation of bulwark has been changed. regardless of the bug, that stat drain is still a very effective special, so even if the bug is fixed its still going to be a better piece of equipment than before so im guessing the price will sit around 7-10m if not more

I really dont want to see this nerfed again, I dont want to see any nerfs I left some comments saying it wasnt op, for the simple fact that u have to be in bis defensive gear instead of offensive so specialized 100m gear unless u tank bandos or other bosses most accounts arent going to own his tank gear so they'll have to buy that, then the special is super effective at bosses with alot of monster which is nearly 4 of the 40 or so bosses, solo the special is shit af imo, when is going in with 5 players using any special attack not super op, u use 5 people doing 2 dwh or bandos specials that's 10 specs it really should be no more op then any other special unless I'm truly missing something about its special

This is most likely gonna get patched very soon. Making the inferno accessible to normal players probably isn't what Jagex intended so they'll just make it a potato again.
Make a video on using bulwark with two spec transfer alts (or pay a friend) at the Kourend Catacombs dagannoths... It is insane. its the fastest way to train a combat stat by over 300%, before this "nerf" I was getting 250k/hr and I bet you could get over 400k/hr

Please do a max bulwark corp mass with like 3-4 people and see how effective that is, i feel like the stat reducing special would be huge and then tele out and get a chally and you would just wreck corp, give it a try and please post
@@jimrizzy dwh would need like 6 hits since it's multiplication based. 70% then 51% then 35% and so on. It's diminishing each time. Two DWH into BGS is still better to get defence down to 0, but then when you get there, some Arclight can be replaced with Dinhs
@@glumreaper8885huh you don't actually need corps defensive to be zero 3 dwh specs is enough. As the meta without bgs was just 3 dwh specs and 5 arc specs. For those who can swap to max mage defensive gear during attacks. With 3dwh specs you get his defense down enough to where you almost never miss , from there dins would lower his attack/str and mage attack starting from the highest offensive stat at 10% per spec. So I'm pretty sure dins replaces both arclight and bgs unless you plan to Corp doing the mage method.

Pretty much just had a eldritch nightmare staff arma c bow and arma top. And rune pouch with death charge then pots. In my next runs I’m going to bring a ancestral top and regain brace aswell. Slightly lower dps but more HP and more prayer from the staff specs + accuracy so it will be nice. Regain brace + regain prayer is 4HP per min and barely takes any prayer points really low drain rates
They should've gave you the normal stats when you put the shield in defensive style, since you cannot attack with it in that style. Not a fan of the update but oh well.

i think it reduces the base stats not the current stats so it makes sense for a 5% then another 5% to equal 10%
To be fair, it does only reduce by 5%. But if you hit something big enough, the spec hits twice and reduces the stats by 9.75%

Ps. Nex stats reset on each wave so youd have to land 6 x2 specs each kill which just isnt viable.

yeah tried it out at bandos its pretty chill you take very little damage. its a bit slow for solo, but duo/trio its great

I did a trip recently and I'm a pretty experienced tank. Was pretty great but I still think I prefer my usual setup of full justiciar with tent whip and avernic defender.
Although definitely don't need to walk under with dinh's, and surprisingly accurate.

instead of arclight specs you could use dinhs specs but the DWH and BGS is for lowering defence which the dihns doesn't do so you would still need atleast one of those or the arclight and dihns, might be a niche use for ironmen if they sniped one in a raid but for the average player I dont reckon it would be more viable than the standard spec routine

Its good update because tank gear was always snuffed at in runescape by the 'elite players' and it showed in justiciars price.
And before someone says 'oh no its so broken' you get it from raids, not some slayer monster. Its not the best for skilled player who can do much more damage with other weapons but its best for noobs who cant play the game 'properly' and have to tank many hits.

Because they didn't think about it. Snakeskin Body now has better melee defenses than Green and Blue D'hide for example. Hell, even regular leather vambraces are better than Green D'hide vambraces. So the devs who did this litterally just have no clue how the game works

I must not be understand the spec? How does 10 specs at nex make it have no stats? It reduces 10% of the current stat I would assume. I think it basically works similar to the arc light although a bit more powerful. I think I'm just dumb af
10% of the highest stat atm, even if you miss, jagex messed up the code a little bit. It’s supposed to be 5 or 10% of the current if you hit. But atm it’s 10% even with 2 zeros and not current stat
I did an hour of testing, you're a bit off in a few places.
1. The stacking is multiplicative. It reduced by 5% per (successful) hit splat from the previous value.
2. The stacking is wonky, it'll reduce by 10% on a double hit, I believe due to 2x 5% calucations taking place on the same tick.
3. It doesn't apply the reduction on failure. I can see this consistently. 2x 0 hit splats drains no stats.
4. The reduction is broken as it never appears to drain 1 stat. It'll drain Strength/Attack OR Magic/Range. Never just 1 at a time, which the tooltip says it only drains 1.
Here is the data for a `me (hardmode)` in the NMZ (one sample among many)
225/223 (att/str) -> 2 hit spec -> 203/212 (-10%)-> 2 miss spec -> 203/212 (0%)-> 1 hit, 1 miss spec -> 192/201 (5%) -> 2 hit spec -> 171/180 (10%)
Wonder if they hotfixed the draining on zeros? In my clip I hit 2 zeros and it went down 10% tried it multiple times seemed to always be -10%

So that means we're nerfing the T Bow too, right? And Ancestral? And the Scythe? Because this all comes from raids too, you know. These items deserve to be this strong, especially combined. We're talking about FOUR ultra-rares from two different raids encounters to make this happen. I'd say this is a reasonable power level for combining the forces of FOUR RARE REWARDS from raids.
You CAN "hit" for 0.... If you roll accuracy and hit but the damage roll is 0 it still counts as a hit. Most specs work like that, eg: you can spec a 0 with the sgs but still return HP and pray. That's not the same as missing and getting a 0
Yeah tested a few times and it was successfully lowering on zeros every time. It can’t be just rolling 0s. Someone said yesterday jagex has hotfixed it

Corps highest skill is magic and the others aren’t the same level 350 vs 320 att str so it would only lower mage I think? Maybe if you leave the area and come back it would recheck the stats, I’m not 100% sure I’ll check that today

Reason being is because the orientation of bulwark has been changed. regardless of the bug, that stat drain is still a very effective special, so even if the bug is fixed its still going to be a better piece of equipment than before so im guessing the price will sit around 7-10m if not more

Btw the dinhs spec only takes 5% from the highest combat stat, so you cant spec Nex down to no def as quickly as you thought
It hits twice and drains from both hits as seen in the vid, provided it’s a multi-way area.

I really dont want to see this nerfed again, I dont want to see any nerfs I left some comments saying it wasnt op, for the simple fact that u have to be in bis defensive gear instead of offensive so specialized 100m gear unless u tank bandos or other bosses most accounts arent going to own his tank gear so they'll have to buy that, then the special is super effective at bosses with alot of monster which is nearly 4 of the 40 or so bosses, solo the special is shit af imo, when is going in with 5 players using any special attack not super op, u use 5 people doing 2 dwh or bandos specials that's 10 specs it really should be no more op then any other special unless I'm truly missing something about its special
To top that all off stop calling things op and drawing jagex eye unless u want it nerfed to useless again, 2nd u have to be bis tank which alot of bosses isnt truly bis, itd be fantastic if they leave this the way it is I think It can be a strong option for bossing and since it no longer has a use anymore and is a raids item I think it should be powerful, especially considering u have to rock bis def melee with it

This is most likely gonna get patched very soon. Making the inferno accessible to normal players probably isn't what Jagex intended so they'll just make it a potato again.
Make a video on using bulwark with two spec transfer alts (or pay a friend) at the Kourend Catacombs dagannoths... It is insane. its the fastest way to train a combat stat by over 300%, before this "nerf" I was getting 250k/hr and I bet you could get over 400k/hr
I was thinking about doing this but a few tiles west at the ankous lol 😂 I reckon spec xfares in the catacombs and death charge would be insane, ankous and salve ammy works so 51 max instead of 46. Might need more than 2 friends tho

Please do a max bulwark corp mass with like 3-4 people and see how effective that is, i feel like the stat reducing special would be huge and then tele out and get a chally and you would just wreck corp, give it a try and please post

@@jimrizzy dwh would need like 6 hits since it's multiplication based. 70% then 51% then 35% and so on. It's diminishing each time. Two DWH into BGS is still better to get defence down to 0, but then when you get there, some Arclight can be replaced with Dinhs
@@glumreaper8885huh you don't actually need corps defensive to be zero 3 dwh specs is enough. As the meta without bgs was just 3 dwh specs and 5 arc specs. For those who can swap to max mage defensive gear during attacks. With 3dwh specs you get his defense down enough to where you almost never miss , from there dins would lower his attack/str and mage attack starting from the highest offensive stat at 10% per spec. So I'm pretty sure dins replaces both arclight and bgs unless you plan to Corp doing the mage method.
@@glumreaper8885 also to add dins currently drains 10% even while missing so in theory you can legit skip the dwh specs and just lower it's offense stats to zero

Pretty much just had a eldritch nightmare staff arma c bow and arma top. And rune pouch with death charge then pots. In my next runs I’m going to bring a ancestral top and regain brace aswell. Slightly lower dps but more HP and more prayer from the staff specs + accuracy so it will be nice. Regain brace + regain prayer is 4HP per min and barely takes any prayer points really low drain rates
