When using the standard method of install with the foam and plastic aligner, the light bar appears to be too long in that it would go over the overlapping metal on each side, meaning the light bar would not be able to lay flat and adhere with the 3M tape, is this wrong?
@@dm6368 Awesome, so glad to hear! Here's another option also if you wanted to use the magnet options: www.amazon.com/OPT7-Tailgate-Rare-Earth-Neodymium-Specifically/dp/B0CKKZ4ZHT
You'll need this wire to hardwire - www.opt-7.com/products/opt7-redline-4-9ft-hardwire-harness-kit-for-tailgate-light-bars then check your owner manual to see which wires are turn, running, brakes, etc.
Going to try these out. Just bought a pair for my Taco. I also happen to have the same AlphaRex tail lights as well. I noticed that the left turn signal on the AlphaRex tail lights was not working in this video. Was this a problem with your tail lights? I am now on my second pair of AlphaRex tail lights replaced under warranty.
We had another team opt7 mention the same issue when they installed it. Upon troubleshooting, the issue was resolved. Feel free to email us at support@opt-7.com
@OPT7Lighting sure thing. Thank you tho. I have the original redline triple on my tacoma. Rather than just get more mounting tape to move it down and cover the spare tire hole, i just ordered the new one over the weekend. (I'm sure someone there will remember my email about the 3m tape inquiry lol)
Brought the adapter just because of this video. Thanks
How did you unplug the backside of the the harness?
There are clips holding it, you'll need to unpin and twist.

not sure what you mean, for more product support, please email our team at suppor@opt-7com
Do both lights have their own wire and then connects to 4 pin? Then 4-4 pin connection happens to harness?
Not sure of your question, but feel free to reach out to our team for more install support via email - support@opt-7.com

@@OPT7Lighting can you use this product on other vehicles other than a Tacoma?
@@chrismunoz9289 You sure can!
Being that almost everyone will be using the standard methods of installing, I would've preferred seeing the usage of the foam pad and slider.
Stay tuned, we have more install videos coming soon. Thanks for pointing it out, we appreciate your feedback!
