I suppose, if someone wants something such as this bad enough, they'll endure the hazing and screaming. This is a series of well made videos, that the NMSP should be proud of, nonetheless. I went through Marine Corps Boot Camp, Airborne School, two Army NCO schools, and Ranger Indoctrination Program. That was enough for me. So many people said to me when I finally got out, "...you should apply for a Law Enforcement Academy." My reply was a simple "No." I had had enough.
I've never seen an overweight DI in the Marine Corps. But just about every other agency/organization has them, it absolutely blows my mind. Completely unsat.

Yea I went through 8 months of training like this in my academy and it suuucked. I'd never do it again lol. I'm not that big of a glutton for punishment. But you are correct I'm a way better cop because of it
NMSP needs to square those recruits away and have them wearing same tie and same shirt and slacks. Uniformity. Dont let them be individuals and dress different.
Great respect but I think this training is outdated. The police are too paramilitary in my opinions. We need critical thinkers and social skills, which our modern police academies dont really teach.
