I just found your channel the other day, I've never been into rock hunting but I've been playing all your videos in the background. I find them very comforting. Thanks for all the work you do!
I have to say I’m kinda new at Rock hounding and to tell you the truth I’m getting pretty obsessed with it my favorite people to watch are 3 people and you are definitely 1 of them
Great tips Ariel! Especially about putting the littles in with the larger rocks. It really does tumble better when there is either ceramic media or lots of tiny rocks mixed in to the batch. Hopefully the snow starts to melt and you can find some more treasures this spring.... 😊
All good picks. Thanks for passing on your thought process of which rocks will make the cut to be in your tumbler. Good information. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
I got an Expirment Idea/Video Idea for you. We all know too little grit does not grind well. But, Have you ever wondered what would happen if you use WAY WAY too much grit?I am talking so much grit that it is JUST fluid, Like wet slightly overly wet sand, when it will run through your fingers but just barely. Like 1 1/2 to 2 full cups of grit in say a 3lb barrel with some durable rocks like jasper or agates. I personally would love to see that video.
I find it funny that when watching rock videos I can name almost all of the rocks, yet when I look at rocks in real life I always second guess myself lol
Awesome vid!! Lotsa great information 👍 and the rocks absolutely rock 🤘 Can't wait to see them all polished up.. I'm in Minnesota to.. this winter has definitely put a damper on things.. but the last couple of days I have been really itching to get out.. I think spring has officially sprung 🌱 🪨
Thank you! I was interested since I was a young kid and then kind of lost the interest growing up. Recently I thought about my rocks from childhood and it sparked my path back into the world of rockhounding!
@@AgateAriel I went down to Wee Jasper NSW yesterday to collect rocks while waiting for my tumbler. Do you have any rocks from Australia? If not, would you be interested in a rock swap? Bear in mind, I have no idea what I'm doing yet!!!
@@AgateAriel it's got a nice variety of different geological formations and what not and also some of the tikatite not sure of spelling but basically debris from the meteor that formed the gulf of Mexico along with artifacts and more oh and yeah its also super hot haha but I'm discovering that many states have stuff worth hounding lol neways thanks for the reply ur tbh the first ever iv got so id subscribe if I had ot have already lolz newYs keep up the vids and best of luck to ya. Ps I'm in Tennessee Kentucky state line like a mile from me but there is some really good ones here plus caves that were not umm Monitorized so really cool if ur ever in the area just kinda dangerous too.
@@AgateAriel if ur free ever iv got some questions about polishing and idk how to message on here and not trying to clog up ur vids comment deal but don't mind if u don't etc but I have a tile saw as I used to do general contracting and so it will cut similar to a lapidary I think but it is rough and iv got rotary tools sanders etc but no tumbler and was hoping there was something that works even for like just cutting slices and polishing just the front and back anyways idk but regardless if u reply again or not thanks so much
Have you done something different with your hair? The past couple videos I feel like it looks different. I like it, even if you've not done anything to it lol
I find myself watching your videos when im getting impatient with my tumbler 😆🤎 looking at your beautiful rocks keeps me from stopping mine too early! Life of being AuDHD 😅

Oh that’s a great idea!! Definitely adding it to the list!
I'm in Minnesota too! Minneapolis. I was just thinking it's time to make sure I have several batches of rocks for tumbling through the winter.
Agreed! I am definitely in need of some more rocks for tumbling to get through the winter!
Hi I found this googling what rocks are good for tumbling. I was wondering which video shows the result of tumbling them? Thank you!
Great video!! Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you! 😊
Great video, very informative. I also use the smaller rock so I don't need media. Thanks for the knowledge and sharing your passion!
Yes it is such a great trick! Glad you liked the video! 😊
Very beautiful rocks! Thank you
Thank you!
Thanks! I love your picks. 🌈

Right! This warmer weather is getting exciting! Can’t wait to get back out there!
Hi Ariel , Great video-you must be a teacher. How did you get interested in rocks?
Thank you! I was interested since I was a young kid and then kind of lost the interest growing up. Recently I thought about my rocks from childhood and it sparked my path back into the world of rockhounding!
Informative and soothing. Thanks!
Hi , that last rock you picked, I would've picked the one to the right. I'm new at this but I think that would turn out nice.
Have you got a video that shows how these rocks turn out? I'd love to see
I think they show up through my various tumbles but I don’t have one specific one. I should have done it that way though!
@@AgateAriel I've just ordered my first tumbler so I am watching all your videos!!!!
@@thisisanaussiegal3590 that’s awesome! I hope you like it!!

We are on the last grits and a rockstar almost done on Monday work getting them out
have no idea how or why this was recommended to me but hope the algorithm catches this lol
Yass I love it! Thanks for watching! 😊
Interesting!
Can tumbled/polished rocks be used in fish tanks?
I wouldn’t see why not but I’m not sure!
do you have any advise for me regarding tumbler media ie plastic or ceramic filler which is best?
I personally use ceramic media, but I have heard that plastic is better for the final stages!
Man u should come organize mine lol and go look for some more cuz I have fields of that in tx
Haha I do love organizing all of them! I’ve never rockhounded in Texas but I’m sure it’s awesome!

Going to "polish" off the ice cream?
🤣🤣🤣

I did dye it a bit darker a while back which might be what your noticing-and thank you! 😊
You say to check out your video 'here' (pointing to the top of the screen) to see how you organize rocks but never show the link.
