  • HONG KONG, 11 July 2024 - Prof. Amal Nagah Elbeshbishi, Ms. Christine Susanna Tjhin, Dr Edward Tse, and Dr Srikanth Kondapalli participate in an engaging panel session themed 'Global Impact of China’s Economic Transformation' for the virtual conference 'China's Economic Prospects and Global Impact', organised by the Global Institute For Tomorrow (GIFT). They provide their expertise to represent three of the fastest growing regions in the world in India, Indonesia, and Africa, and to analyse the impact that China's explosive growth has had on their economies.
    Panel 2 was coordinated and moderated by Mr Eric Olander, editor-in-chief of the China Global South Project.
    Besides named speakers above, internationally renowned economists and speakers Prof. 贲圣林 Ben Shenglin, Dr Horst Löchel, Dr Erik Berglöf, and Dr Keyu Jin, were invited onto panel 1 of the conference to draw analyses and insights of China's economic transformation.

    Yep in 1988 China was poorer than every African country except two; Uganda and Bissau Guinea in term of GDP per capita.
    China worked its way out of poverty and will show the poor countries how to do the same.
