- Tbh my first idea was to do heroics. But it's really hard and rng so I decided to do something easy for the moment. Sub8 ta wiki was my goal, so I'm happy with that. I think it can be improved by around 30 seconds, I'll try later.

So apparently there’s some misunderstanding for some of the viewers about this video: TA stands for Time Attack. I saw people complaining that this is a not human gameplay ‘cause they think it’s a Tool Assisted Speedrun (TAS). It’s definitely not the case -.-

Peppo hey man I was always wondering why do you leave your palico behind does it affect the monster’s health?
@@beyondcomprehension9255 it affects the monster's aggro, so the headsnipes and awesome counters wouldn't be as consistent as they are
@@beyondcomprehension9255 it's because he uses the TA Wiki rules (Time Attack rules) that forbid certain skills, usage of mantles, palico, yeeting monsters into walls among some other rules.
Thanks to your videos I tried Solo myself as I am a LS user myself and actually made it! Though it was 18 min, I was able to solo Alatreon!

He is much easier in my opinion during a solo run. Less people for him to focus on and more life's. Since that first solo I have done now ice and fire activ pretty consistent :) just copy Peppo's set and you will be fine!

no they are not, the highest is front legs and head, second highest back legs. back legs are a favourite in hunts because they are very easy to do constant damage on them.

I accidentally solo'd Alatreon while I was just figuring out a build (lol), but when I get home from work I'm going to fight him for real and get a decent time using what I learned here :D Thank you for posting all these videos!!!

I've gotten ~17'34 but I haven't played Iceborne much around the time MR Kulve dropped and I'm missing the Kjarr weapons, so I'm limited to Safi-Velk with Ele Safi LS :/

I really need to grind hard in GL. I've been ignoring it for almost a year. Yesterday in about 40 minutes, I got about 7000 points worth of coal for Steamworks, and with that, I got 250 armor sphere+, 50 heavy armor spheres, and 10 king armor spheres from the overdrive bonus. After upgrading my Safi chest to max, I was left with about 150 of my armor sphere+.
So I think I'm in for the long haul.
And it took me nearly 30 minutes with a cat...….. guess I'll just not bother using longsword anymore.

Took me 30 minutes with my cat as well. Seeing this, though, makes me want to drop that down to about 15 minutes. I don't have the skill to go lower than that lol
I probably would have been in the same boat. It still almost takes me 15 minutes to do Velkhana.

How do you turn off the instructions handler and chief give mid quest?
I think there just aren't any instructions given by the characters on the event quest (this is the event quest, not the special assignment)

No PC runs are excluded from Ta wiki rules website. However PC players use these rules just to play in an harder way, without the palico, mantles, environment exploits, wall bang, slinger ammo (except dung pods and stones) ecc. If you are curious just check the official website :)

I don't know how to topple it but I managed to broke its horn. Is it because the element wasn't high enough or dps is to low. Kinda try play it as careful as possible? 😭 Armor set type balanced, weapon xenojiva.

Can you please explain to me why frostcraft on longsword build?
All the way through the video I was thinking “how is LS doing fire damage? Am I missing something?” Then at the end of the video “Oooooooh...oooh...oh” forgot about layered weapons, great run!
It should also be noted that you can't layer the weapons into Alatreon layered till after you've built an Alatreon weapon of that tree

I kinda got peer pressured into doing this monster without even doing Furious Rajang and I have to say, it's an extremely fun elder. I'd never played 3U, but it's moveset is really fun to learn. I wanted to solo it first but now I couldn't even imagine how I'd go about fighting it solo

Hei, I want to ask. Why I can't use iae slash and catch claw in my MHW iceborne? If i press R2+X, my character only evade. And I cant press R2+O for catch claw on enemy. Please kindy your feedback thanks

His counters and dodges are so flawless. The first video I saw peppo do solo was a little hairy at times but he really nailed it this time! Great job!
Yeah the first one wasn’t even a speedrun, was just a showcase of the monster itself. A little of practice and here we are ;)

Just copy my build, buff yourself, eat for attack L, make him enraged and do an Helmbreaker. You’ll deal the same damage.

Really learned from the first speedrun you posted on here. The little missteps (probably from rng) have significantly become less compared to the first one. Good work as always!
What a LS God guys.
I wish I could learn longsword, it's such as a cool weapon. But it seems to require the ability to predict what a monster will do and I'm horrible at that.
Learning a monster's tells and patterns actually helps all weapons a ton. The satisfying thing about the LS is the sheer amount of anime power that surges through you when you counter.
@@ZenTheMC yeah I know that, like the things is that the long sword from my limited experience with it feels like it's more about countering than just dodging and attacking. Like I main switch axe and also use dual blades. With those all I have to do is rely on my reaction timing to dodge and it works fine, but with longsword, it feels like not only do I need reaction timing, but also the ability to predict. Which I struggle with.
@@DragonGunzDorian I find that evasion mantle is a great place to start. I still use it sometimes, when I don't care about showing off my character's buff body.

uhm is it okay to have low critical eye but max weakness exploit as long you are hitting in tenderize spot? is it only good for ls? or i can do the same thing in dual blades? instead of going 100% affinity?
Well what's the point of having Weakness Exploit if you're not gonna target its weak points, and you dont need to tenderize/ clutch attack them with his build, 20 affinity from the weapon, 40 from safi buff, 5 from Attack Skill, 5 from crit eye lvl 1, and 30 from non-Tenderized Weakness Exploit then you'll get 100 affinity, unless your weapon only has like 5-10 affinity then yes you might still have to tenderized/ clutch claw the weak points, especially for Crit Element because having 100% affinity is really impactful for Crit Element

Bruh how is he doing 200 + damage a hit with the longsword I sitting here with my rarity 11 legiana sword with max frost damage on this guys fire phase and I'm doing maybe 80 to 90 a hit.
Well, there are a lot of skills and specific types of armor that he chose for his elemental build.
1. Elemental attack: no surprise, just increase your elemental damage.
2. Kjarr weapons: kjarr weapons have a natural built in crit element. Everytime you crit, you will do extra element damage
3. Safi'jivia armor: safi's armor has a set bonus called, "dragonvien awakening" (3 piece), and, "True dragonvein awakening" (5 piece). They both increase elemental attack and had a bit of affinity, in return, you sacrifice health with each strike and gain it back only when you hit the monster a certain amount of times. With true dragonvein awakening (what he is using) you gain 150 extra element and 40% affinity, making it great to pair with kjarr.
4. Augments: You typically want to always go for elemental augments if you are making an elemental build. You can also slot in health regen to counter the effects of safi armor, making it more comfortable.
Don't think that you have to do anything that is said here. You dont always need a kjarr weapon, and you dont always need safi armor. I suggest looking into some silverlos elemental builds (if there is any).
@@realwatermelon6486 ok this is the kind of info I've been needing cause I've been going at this game waaaay too casually and never got an understanding for making hyper focused builds that made one or a few traits really OP for different fights and whatnot, I really only knew like basic elemental weaknesses and resistances.

That was an insane speed run. I think it’s the fastest for TA LS now isn’t it? At least from what I saw yesterday the fastest one was just below 8 min, and you are definitely faster. From the video, I’m sure you can be even faster. You never fail to impress me :D

How did you put the appearance of Alatreon longsword on the Kjaar? Or it is only a mod cause you play on PC too?
I don’t use any mods. You can put the appearance of whatever LS you want by just going on “augment” at the smithy. It’s called layered weapon.

why you were taking slow damage from a super nova ???i have problem with this when i try heal i get too many dmg per 2 sec
Everytime you knock Alatreon down the speed at which you healthbar goes down gets slower so you can properly heal since it weakens it's eschaton judment if I'm right.
Yes. Every time you stagger Alatreon (I’m talking about the elemental topple) the super nova gets less damage per seconds. I staggered him 3 times before the super nova, so it was really easy to survive as you watched.

Does by not bringing your palico affect something?
Bringing a palico means that a monster will attack it sometimes instead of you. That also means it will move away from you, so you will have to chase after it. For speedrunning, that’s definitely not something you want to be doing.

Great job! What weapon would you recommend other than the Kjar weapons? I've been using the Demise Claw and I've been successful but my solo hunts are around 20min long
Allow me to give my recommendations as well, since we're talking about LS with high elemental, Silver Rath's LS could be an alternate for Fire and Velkhana's for Ice, although the Velkhana still only has 270 Ice so you're gonna have to really pump that Ice Attack, Banbaro's LS has a great stats with its high raw and high ice but it only has Blue Sharpness 😂
And if you really wanna put in the Crit Elem, maybe you can go with 3 Safi and 2 Velkhana armor build, just don't forget to prioritize elem attack build, not Raw attacks.

TA means time attack, so yes this is indeed a human playing. You must have been thinking of TAS, which is tool assisted speedrun.
So is fire just the best element to use against this thing? No matter what weapon type a speed runner is using its always fire
It depends on what alatreon's starting element is. If you get the quest where he starts as fire, the best thing to use is ice. If he starts as ice, best weapon is fire.

Yes it seems like a cheap mechanic, but if you literally just build comfy and have a decent amount of element you won't have an issue.
I wish there was more end game fights like it. It's a fun and very satisfying challenge when you complete it.

Safi bonus does not show if his weapon is sheathed, add another 170ish to his element for his set up if he had the weapon out

His weapon starts at 30% affinty and wearing full Safi gives another 40% boost to affinity
The 3 points in weakness exploit gives him an additional 30% affinty when hitting a weakpoint, he would get an additional 20% if it was a wounded weakpoint
