Much props to Tina, she has definitely earned a top spot as one the best comedy writers out there (female or not!) 30 Rock still kicks ass and always will!
I love when Tina comes on this show. She's always funny in interviews, but it's so obvious they are friends and make each other laugh. Not true when she visits other late night hosts.
Time is fleeting-I remember Tina interviewing on the Today School for the original film in 2004 while waiting for the school bus. Can’t believe it’s been twenty years.
I went to see it tonight, it was awesome! It was both the classic we all love, and fresh, and the songs were amazing. But what else would we expect? It’s from the genius that is Tina Fey ❤
The fact she can acknowledge what she wrote was problematic and change it/know that it was is honestly awesome, I feel like you don't get a lot of people acknowledging that
I hope every 20 years there’s a reboot. Mean Girls: The Horror Movie, Mean Girls: The 1700’s Period Piece, Mean Girls: The Animated Film, Mean Gays: The Limit Does Not Exist, Mean Girls: At Hogwarts, etc
Coming to Peacock in the Fall of 2024… random unmarked VHS tapes from your neighbors! Could be a random show from the 80’s, it could be home made porn! Let’s roll the dice!
My kid asked if he was wearing 2 hats and I had to awkwardly explain that no, for a short period of time beanies had peaks and she asked why? I had no answer for her.
Not every day you hear a Charles Rocket mention in 2024. Fun interview with Tina. And her era of SNL humor is coming back into style, so she shouldn't feel too bad I guess.
Not cool that everyone is trying to hide the fact that this new movie is a musical. In fact it was weird that they didn’t really talk about it at all. There was no “tell us about the film” segment of the interview. Angourie Rice is one of the prettiest girls on earth and the original movie was fantastic. Looked like it would have been fun but no thanks
I wish people would stop turning everything into a musical. What's next? A Clockwork Orange, the Musical? Apocalypse Now, the Musical? (One song would definitely be titled "Never Get Out of the Boat.)
The problem is the audience. Broadway tickets are expensive, so people will only spend the money if they are assured a good time. So people pick things they already know - in other words: movies turned into musicals (Moulin Rouge, Back to the Future, Mean Girls, Hairspray, etc.) and jukebox musicals of songs people know (Moulin Rouge (again), American Idiot, Jagged Little Pill, Jersey Boys, etc.). There's a "Well, if I'm gonna spend a hundred bucks, I'll go see Mean Girls: the Musical. I already love the movie!" instead of "Hmmm, I only get to see one show, maybe I will pick something new and original like Hadestown and expand my horizons." Producers know this. So they keep pouring money into shows that will make them even more money. And there ya go. Clockwork Orange: the Musical.
Yes but why didn' she remake a film that sucked, and turned it into something great?! If you _have_ to make a remake, listen to Jay Baumann of RedletterMedia.
I miss her, feels like she’s been chilling doing her thing for awhile. I’m not mad at her but l do miss her. Wish Hollywood made more comedy movies like the 80s and 90s. We would have seen Tina in so many movies.
Grew up in the 90s & at college in Chicago in 2000s Mean Girls was a little too like a literary a-bomb with it's fall out -- birthed enough Regina George imitators irl who used the movie like a visual bible to derive & minimize their own classmate bullying...except there was no bus to make them go splat or drawn curtains. Left an RAship & school there when my Regina George quoting imitator wouldnt stop her social agenda on a first time US college kid. Apparently I shouldve watched the movie a LOT sooner than I did -- Art imitates life imitates art and life surely stranger than fiction.
Seth, It's cruel and ignorant to not tip in restaurants. Please educate yourself. What a poor excuse to allege that their pay should be included in the price of the meal! Well, it ISN"T included and you know full well it's not the fault of the server that their pay isn't included in the cost of your meal. Yet you're making them pay the price for a system over which they have no control. In NYC, where the minimum wage is $15/hr, a restaurant can pay a server only $10.65/hr because they assume the server is going to make up the rest in tips.
“I’m sitting there knowing that I full tilt wrote it” 😂😂
Much props to Tina, she has definitely earned a top spot as one the best comedy writers out there (female or not!) 30 Rock still kicks ass and always will!
That last bit of her watching with her family and seeing a bad sketch she wrote was the best.
I think Tina is an obvious choice to replace Lorne Michaels. But hate to think of lost acting projects.
❤
I love when Tina comes on this show. She's always funny in interviews, but it's so obvious they are friends and make each other laugh. Not true when she visits other late night hosts.
First she rocks that dress !! And second they are so fun together you can tell they are long time friends . That was a fun time !
We love you, Tina! You are an absolute LEGEND!
20 years?! Gosh time flys… I vividly remember my little sister and me going to the movies to see it
The first pic from the writers strike looks like a still from 30 Rock.
Tina gets a (well-deserved) “very good friend” intro!
Tina Fey is a Goddess of Comedy and an absolute Smoke-Show. 🤩😍
That dress tho... Cool as hell.
I swear - she ages in reverse.
“We’re not meeting in the middle, Jack!” - Liz Lemon
Make up helps
Her memory has Seinfeld money.
Nah she looks 20 years older.
Been teaching for 20 years; good on her
Time is fleeting-I remember Tina interviewing on the Today School for the original film in 2004 while waiting for the school bus. Can’t believe it’s been twenty years.
You can see that segment and Letterman interview and more on TH-cam.
30 Rock forever! I love you Tina Fey!!
“PlswelcombdotheahowourvgoofrientinaFEY!!!” 😂 am I the only one that noticed this at 0:59 ? 😂
She’s so smart, so quick, so funny, so down to earth. Best lady ever.
1:45 These are the moments I love Tina Fey.
I went to see it tonight, it was awesome! It was both the classic we all love, and fresh, and the songs were amazing.
But what else would we expect? It’s from the genius that is Tina Fey ❤
I think you watched another movie 😅
@@anotheruser1052 nope, watched this one
Tina you look (and are) awesome!
That dress looks both extremely comfortable and extremely cool.
I love her so much! Her appearances on LNSM are such as delight 💗
Happy 20th Anniversary to the OG ‘Mean Girls’.
I know she hates talking about it, but to me, her scar makes her that much more beautiful. I’m mesmerized by her. She’s beauty and brains.
She’s amazing indeed.
I admire Tina so, so much. (And holy crap, I love that dress!)
The fact she can acknowledge what she wrote was problematic and change it/know that it was is honestly awesome, I feel like you don't get a lot of people acknowledging that
We love your show seth meyers
My lord I love Tina Fey so much I could cry.
I love that ya just o the hug. None of that kiss kissy bs
Two of my heroes!
Never been lucky enough to be in a union but I suspect showing up to a picket line looking like I have money would be a bad strategic decision.
I never realised this until today: Tina would make a GREAT Susan Heffley if they decided to remake live action Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies.
Please tell Tina it’s the first time I’ve seen her in anything but black and she was just glowing and beautiful! Keep it up😘
Coming to Peacock in the Fall of 2024… random unmarked VHS tapes from your neighbors! Could be a random show from the 80’s, it could be home made porn! Let’s roll the dice!
Tina would have been an excellent high school teacher. Too bad it didn't work out for her, but at least she had show business to fall back on.
I LOVE this dress!
My kid asked if he was wearing 2 hats and I had to awkwardly explain that no, for a short period of time beanies had peaks and she asked why? I had no answer for her.
I love Tina. Seth, stop sticking your head out the window while driving
The first writers strike image looks like an Adam Sandler movie still 🤣
Shoulda gave Tina a 20 min interview , for ol’times’ sake
I adore Tina Fey😍😍
Mean girls 2024 was SO GOOD! Congrats!!
Tina makes 6½ minutes just whip by.
Tina Fey was gorgeous then, and absolutely the same now with no changes--beautiful!
TINA FEY SO PRETTY HERE ON LATE NIGHT !!!!
Love her
So Many Talented Actresses 😊 In Mean Girls, But Tina Fey Always Will Be The #1.👍👏👏👏👏👏
I Love 💖 You So Much, Love & Kisses From Your Fan.
💋❤💋❤💋❤💋❤
The woman is fine wine. Smart as hell. Top shelf.
Is that… the hat from I throw it in the ground?
If Tina isn't careful, this reboot might make "fetch" a thing.
Not every day you hear a Charles Rocket mention in 2024. Fun interview with Tina. And her era of SNL humor is coming back into style, so she shouldn't feel too bad I guess.
Genius woman.
Tina is my favorite Fey!
Thanks for the John Ralphio Cameo
TF in the first image looks like she is about to break into the 'Charleston."
Tina Fey is so awesome!
does anybody know what song they were covering when seth brought her out?
THEN AND NOW 2024
I wish people would stop turning everything into a musical. What's next? A Clockwork Orange, the Musical? Apocalypse Now, the Musical? (One song would definitely be titled "Never Get Out of the Boat.)
In the musical version of Clockwork, maybe they could work in "Singin in the Rain" and synthesizer versions of Beethoven, somehow?
I absolutely hate musicals! I love a Broadway show, but not a movie. I did enjoy the first few seasons of glee and that’s it.

Tina, Amy and Seth never got old!!!
Nah, they're old, but that's okay
So, I've had a crush on Tina Fey for 20 years.
I didn't know Tina Fey could sing.
Tina Fey Should Wrote the Screen and Directed Mean Girls (2024)
That was the issue they removed too much in the new mean girls and the burn book isn’t even offensive it is supposed to be offensive
When I see Tina Fey, I click!!
Honestly thought she was Susie Dent at first
some days you just realize Liz lemon really is is just younger tina fey
tina fey ages like a black woman. it’s wild. but also this is what happens when you’re not problematic
Going online and saying Tina Fey isn't problematic. You are playing a dangerous game, my friend.
4:29. 4:47. 5:16 6:06
I don't really understand why they did a re-make for Mean Girls. I love Tina Fey, but don't get the remake.
Off I go to the SNL channel on peacock
Wait!! Tina promised David Letterman she would never wear another dress on a talk show now that he's gone. And she's wearing a dress!!
I don't get this marketing at all. They aren't even acknowledging that it's a musical.
That dress.. wowza.
First dress since Letterman!!!
Yes but why didn' she remake a film that sucked, and turned it into something great?!
If you _have_ to make a remake, listen to Jay Baumann of RedletterMedia.
You know SNL is old school when you find out (as I did) that Chevy Chase is EIGHTY!
I always bring up Tina Fey when I'm arguing with someone and explaining to them why women aren't funny.
I miss her, feels like she’s been chilling doing her thing for awhile. I’m not mad at her but l do miss her. Wish Hollywood made more comedy movies like the 80s and 90s. We would have seen Tina in so many movies.
Aka Richard drench
Before and after jack donaghy mentor
❤❤❤❤❤
Can't believe there was no reaction to her Charles Rocket reference. I guess the 1980-81 season was that forgettable.
I look forward to not watching this movie for the next 20 years, just like I did not watch for the last 20 years.
♡
You two look like a 90s sitcom from the first picture.
Mother.
Of course... Fetch kinda happened.
Tina and Seth's chemistry: A+
That dress and boot combo: A+
Tina acknowledging her cringe-inducing, problematic past works: A+
This movie: C-
gorgeous in her beautiful dress! and, funny as always
❤
Stop trying to make Fetch a thing,
Will always be a thing

Tina is still a gorgeous hottie. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Tina stop trying to make Seth happen...it's not going to happen!!

Booya!!!
How does Tina fey look the exact same
