I came to say I couldn't believe that Seth actually kicked his leg up in the air he was having such a good time and I came across this comment! 🤣 Rachel is a riot - as always.
Seth interviewing John Oliver's radiant wife Wanda Jo Oliver about her dreams of marrying Seth sounds like the sort of thing that could start the next Late Night War. Hallelujah. Praise be. Praise be. 🙏
I was out of touch with SNL when Rachel Dratch was a cast member, but recently I have come to greatly appreciate her talent. She was great every single time she showed up on 30 Rock.
Anyone else ever have dreams about Seth? I had one where he was an adjunct professor and I wanted to redo a paper for his class, and he would not discuss it with me unless I went ice fishing with him... like you do. I ended up falling into the fishing hole and managed to get myself out while doing a Bill Hader impression, and he said he was convinced after the impression of Bill that I could rewrite the paper. I was also super anxious about our ice fishing interrupting his evening family time, I kept saying "please apologize to Alexi for me!"
Yes! It was recent. We were backstage at some theatre-with Bill Hader and Connie Chung! I don’t remember details except that we were looking all over for some sort of paperwork, but we had to be quiet cause the show was running (so it was also dark). And we got the giggles which was highly inconvenient.
Dratch should forever be introduced as, "you know her from SNL where she delivered one of the funniest lines in television history during the 'Colonel Angus' sketch, "we're always happy to see your shining face," here she is... Rachel Dratch ladies and gentlemen!"
@@leekelley4701 nice one! Fun Fact: several years ago, Artie Lange, from MadTV in the 1990s & The Howard Stern Show in the 2000s, appeared pretaped on the series finale of MadTV & live at the end during a season finale of Saturday Night Live on the same night. I don't think anyone from MadTV has ever appeared on SNL,let alone on the same night.
Seth and his SNL friends always create the best dynamic -- and Seth cracking up f'real is always adorable. He would make a fantastic husband -- I'm sure he does. Random observation: the name "Rachel Dratch" would never have survived the old Hollywood Studio System. Thank goodness times have changed.
Also her ghost story on those two circa 1950s well-dressed men consorting at a New York hotel paints such a vivid, detailed yet sympathetic portrait that I kinda wish it could be fleshed out into something bigger somehow
Seth, next time you have Rachel Dratch on, could you ask her about the genesis of her role as John Oliver's "m'lady" character in his Televangelists, Megachurches, etc., deep dives; always wanted to know the backstory on how that collab came about
I as a snub to “the man,” I generally don’t watch celebrity interviews, at all 😝 But with Rachel Dratch😂 how can a man deny himself with that kind of funny!😆 🫶🏿
I once stayed a night in a haunted house (a stately home) but though the atmosphere was extremely spooky and I was looking all the time I didn’t see any of their renowned ghosts. Still not sure if I was relieved or disappointed. Maybe a bit of both. But I love hearing other people’s stories (just not horrific ones).
Years ago, Rifftrax (a successor to MST3k), made a commentary on Raiders of the Lost Ark, and referred to the golden idol as ‘the bust of Rachel Dratch’. I never got the reference, but now I do.
Correction: The abominable snowman (a.k.a. the Bumble) from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is still a terrifying creature after his(?) dental surgery, so much so that Yukon Cornelius is compelled to push the yeti over a cliff to save his friends. Did you incorrectly remember the elf/want-to-be dentist pulling one of the Bumble's teeth, thereby relieving him of his toothache and pacifying the beast? Nope! Ol' Hermey ripped out ALL of the Bumble's teeth to disarm him. If you think the elf saved the day with some well-timed pro-bono dental work rather than an arguably sadistic overstep (by a trespasser practicing without a licence), you're not alone. Search "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer mandala effect" and prove me wrong. Please?!
OK, here's my Rachel Dratch dream story. About 2 or 3 years ago, I dreamed that I was a contestant on a game show/dating show, and Rachel was sort of the "Bachelorette" of the show. Each contestant got to play different games against Rachel, and from what I could gather, the better you scored on the games, the better chance you had of scoring with Rachel. That's dream logic for you. Anyway, I bombed out on all the games. At the beginning of our third (and probably last) game together, Dream Rachel told me, "It looks like you're running out of chances to be my physically pleasurable boyfriend." Long story short, I bombed out on that game, too. So it appears that even in my dreams, I have no shot with Rachel Dratch. (I've always known that was true in reality; this really wasn't something my subconscious needed to go out of its way to teach me.) But even in my dreams, Rachel Dratch can still be naturally funny. I'll count my blessings. .
Correction - the captions kept spelling it lul but I swear it’s lull. Now I’m second guessing my whole life. I’m not critical enough to be a full blown jackal
I just love when Seth has his friends on. He completely ignores the cards I love it
This almost felt like a Craig Ferguson homage there at the end! I'd love him to do an awkward pause sometime!
You know its a good segment when Seth is kicking and squawking 😂
And slapping the table!
I came to say I couldn't believe that Seth actually kicked his leg up in the air he was having such a good time and I came across this comment! 🤣 Rachel is a riot - as always.
They need to turn that moment alone into a gif 😂
@@kateschuller3460 That's a great idea! Go for it! 😃
I love it when Seth interviews his friends. Such an intimate- yet goofy- conversation. And Rachel is a gem! Woo woo!
Seth interviewing John Oliver's radiant wife Wanda Jo Oliver about her dreams of marrying Seth sounds like the sort of thing that could start the next Late Night War.
Hallelujah. Praise be. Praise be. 🙏
Good call!
I wonder how their church is doing😂😂😂
Praise be!! 😂😂😂
😂 🙏
Seth interviewing his close friends has to be my one of my favorite things
Loved the friendship energy. This had the vibe of day drinking...without the day drinking.
I love when Seth has his friends on and just turns in to a gigglepot.
I met Rachel once in NYC and she was so nice and her friends were so nice! Rachel, you are Legend!
We love seeing Seth so enjoy himself
I was out of touch with SNL when Rachel Dratch was a cast member, but recently I have come to greatly appreciate her talent. She was great every single time she showed up on 30 Rock.
I loved her as the cat trainer on 30 Rock. She must have played a dozen or more characters
"Happy Valen-times Day!"
You gotta look up her SNL Debbie Downer skit if you haven’t seen it.
Zazu!
It was one of the best era's of SNL in my opinion.
I've never seen the 'high kick laugh' reaction from Seth before.
It is now my favorite reaction to watch for.
Omg the contagious laughter.
I was squealing washing the dishes!
I loved the awkward ending, reminded me of Craig Ferguson's time.
The banter between these two old friends is just nutty!
Oh yeah, one of the funniest SNL alumni EVER!
Some people make me smile immediately in anticipation of the mirth to come.
Woo Woo!!! You go, Rachel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so loved!!!!!

@@karinmiller1821thanks for sharing! 😂
I love her book, “Girl Walks Into A Bar” and will never forget the passage when she is wearing the baby boop in the bathroom. Cannot unread/unsee it😂
I definitely relate to Rachel - I hit lulls mid-convo constantly because I can never follow up w more details
I wish Broadway would revive Auntie Mame...she was born to play Agnes Gooch.
Also we need a sitcom...
My Gay Ghosts. 😅
I'll watch this 20 times. Oof of my favorite comedians. Plus Seth Meyers.

Omg I forgot all about Colonel Angus. Thanks for the reminder.
I never saw it, so of course I paused to go watch. Holy cow bell that was funny.
I would love to see a project with Rachel Dratch from SNL and Nicole Sullivan from MadTV.
That could be awesome!
i love this idea
That's like mixing DC and marvel, can't be done. Lol

The frenetic insanity of this segment was MAGNIFICENT
Seth: "It's hard to end on a lull." But with Tony-nominated Rachel, "even the lulls shine". 😂
How has Rachel Dratch never hosted SNL before?
Freaken Rachel dracht is amazing. She's the best
The ending reminded me of Craig Ferguson's awkward pauses.
The end of this interview had such Craig Ferguson vibes
I love her - she was brilliant on 30 rock
I was they'd used her more often...
"Happy Valentime's day!!!"😅
I love the Debbie Downer character from SNL to this day.
We love rachel dratch and seth meyers
“She can VEER into the crystal.” OMG I exploded!
That is some of the best chemistry I have ever seen! So fun.
And then the interview cuts with Rachel leaving Seth's high five hanging 😂
I love how much Seth adores the funny women in his life.

Somebody tell my Aunt Linda.
I'm going to look for Rachel's Woo Woo right now...(giggles to himself)
I get the sense that the ghost of Colonel Angus is watching!!🤪
*She played the BEST ''one night stand/nightmare drunk chick'' on 30Rock!!😅🤣
I love that there are multiple generations of comedians who all have the common experience of Lorne Michaels anxiety dreams.
Seth and the laugh and kick always kills me
LMFAO 4:33
How you guys ever managed to get any work done on SNL is surely a miracle 😂❤
She's so serious and focused on Jeopardy. I love it.
You know it’s funny when you hear Fred Armisen in the background laughing a loud “HA” 😂
Dratch is one of those talents who appears on screen and I hit the floor laughing😂! Her podcast is awesome too❤.
lol Seth channeled his inner Craig Ferguson for this interview!
Has anyone else told Seth yet that that's not how you say that kind of woo woo? 😅😂
For God's sake invite Rachel Dratch to do the Family Trips podcast!!
I have had a long term crush on that wacky quirky gal.
She will never be on the cover of Elle or Vogue, but something about her awakens my mojo
😍😍😍😍
Now I want her on the cover of Vogue. It needs to happen
she has a very appealing body
what a great way to start the year! such a great interview, Seth was so far over the desk 😂❤
The sadder she was, the harder we laughed.
We're monsters, all of us!
This energy, man
I love Rachel Dratch! Good luck on your new pod cast.
Rachel’s podcast WooWoo is awesome! It’s entertaining and hilarious. If you’re a fan of Rachel, you’ll be a fan of her podcast! ❤😂
