Someone needs to ask Tina if her back hurts from carrying the whole NBC network.
Not really, it's extremely mutually beneficial.
NBC makes a LOT more off of the work she does, than what they pay her. Even if they pay her well. Execs sit on their asses and make billions while she does the work.
Lorne Michaels is simply the producer/creator of SNL and his production company but if anyone carries NBC on their back, (and “runs” the network) it’s probably him.
Someone needs to ask Tina why she's so obsessed with black and brown face on her shows.

I think TAO meant the ethical issues with the made up brand that produced the jeans in that ep....which was 30 rocks way of calling out greenwashing before it was cool to do so.

Never saw one episode of 30 Rock until I binge watched all the seasons recently on Netflix. IMO it was one of the funniest TV sitcoms I had ever seen.Tina Fey is a comedic genius.
It’s my go to show. Loved it since day one. My son always wishes me a happy Anna Howard Shaw day instead of happy Valentine’s because of that show and it’s awesome 😂

30 Rock is on par with Mel Brooks comedy as far as pushing the envelope with racial/class/political humor. You could not make that show now.

Haven't watched it yet, but after seeing this interview, I had another idea: she would be perfect on a Gilmore Girls parody. She could be Rory or Lorelai - and, of course, the other one would be played by Amy on a wig. NBC should have given them more than 15 minutes to talk. She had to drop a few very interesting lizard stories, I assume.

I usually do too, but this time it felt like a cross between name-dropping and shuckstering.

I’d put Andy Samberg in the running.
To me how often Seth has a lot of familiar interviews with his former snl cast mates/underlings as head writer; guests usually seem relieved to be there while on press junkets; how chill and genuine the studio sounds during corrections or when there was no audience and it's just the staff; all this sorta just shows how cool Seth must be to work with. His staff usually seems to stick with him. Like he's genuinely a good friend and creative collaborator. The best kind of boss.
There should be a patreon that we can pay for Seth to go to dinner with Amy, Tina and Andy, and as a reward they need to record the evening. I wouldn't even blink at that investment opportunity. I'm in.

That show is crazy difficult to put together even in non-wealth transfer years. Well done they kept the ship afloat during that whole period.

@@Tao_Tology I haven't had it. Thought for the first I had it over the weekend. Because I finally went out somewhere and got sick. I guess there's a slight chance that both of the negative tests were wrong, but chances are good I still haven't gotten it. With my health issues, I hope that I don't. Two extended family members have long covid and no thank you!

You haven't had syptoms (that were severe enough to notice) but, yeah, chances are that by now you for sure have had it.

With asthma, I'm guessing I probably would have had at least minor symptoms... but, yeah, can't know for sure! Last weekend was the first time I thought, "oooohhhh... this might be something." haha
I looked it up. Tina left SNL in 2006 and Bobby started in 2008. So I'm sure Tina thinks she was around him around when she was doing Sarah Palin given Bobby was a cast member at that pooint.

I noticed no one is mentioning Tina in reference to Carol Burnett's upcoming 90th birthday celebration on NBC which I thought was odd and Tina Fey and Carol Burnett began working on a biopic based on Carol's book, "Carrie and Me" back int 2019 and as late as Dec 2020 they had found a director, but no word about it after that and now I see that it looks like Fey may not be involved in Burnett's birthday special. I hope they haven't parted ways or had a falling out. That would be too bad.
