You think your cold sound bad starts are bad you should hear mine, firstly diesels don't like cold starts to begin with...but the Peugeot 4 cylinder turbo diesel in my V50 1.6D is especially unhappy when cold. I personally feel horrible thinking about my poor DPF every time I cold start it and I sitt there behind the wheel watching my coolant water temp gauge not moving for what feels like the first 10 to 15 minutes driving.
For all that money i hoped it sounded much better than stock revs. Lol Should have got antilag to shoot flames.. The headlights work much better when the rear level arms are set correctly. When you jack to get sum cal the lights constantly try to point down while driving. Even after you set them statically. Most are jacked up for sum cal to go green, imo many of these sensors were off from the factory. Should be 2.2- 2.5v & 2.5- 2.8v, preferred.. Or 2- 2.3v/ 2.7- 3v
i'm big on these 5 cylinder Volvo's but the supra is lighter and automatic..sounds like you're at a real disadvantage...lol if you have no lift shift you're gonna need to use it for sure.
Would it be fair comparing your 2005 V60R, after mods to a 2005 stock M3? If I recall? The S60R were more closely targeting the AWD S4, not so much the rear wheel driven M3. The M3 is a classifiably a Sports Car. The S60R, a Sports Sedan, specifically. Volvo never issued an S60R coupe either.
Jamie Smith you are correct I’m glad someone said it. The v70 and v60 are NOT true sports cars. They have sofas for seats and the v70 is a WAGON. Putting it up against a RWD coupe from BMW’s M series is asking for a loss. Which by the way. It’s a loss.
My 05 d5 v70 wagon I want to change front coil..I had 2 saab 95 as well.. I nearly bought a supra but never bought it because I hate complexity of the motor.

I am replacing the entire front suspension on my S60 R this weekend (Monroe Struts, Springs, Control Arms, Sway bar end links Ball joints and brakes) so I held off on that expense - but if they work I could use the extra light

Would have loved to get the antilag, but the cat would have melted. I like the burble tune. Pops and burbles without going straight pipe.

Good question! idea was to beat them in different performance categories: drag race, 0-60 time, track/autocross, braking, etc.

Coupe would be the c30 t5.
Volvo literally marketed it as an “m3 killer”. The whole point of the build is “what would it take to actually make a stock E46 M3 killer.
