@@SoldfMC i didnt know what tig-braze was. so i looked it up. and appearantly it's not good for stuff the goes through heating cycles. because the braze material is diffrent than the cast iron.
As much as I'd love to spend 10k on an rx8, I've got another car in mind that will be next level. And ultimately. The Hybrid engine will get the nice turbo and EMS.
@@RADPotential A properly built Renesis with the right components and fuel makes an easy 380whp which is plenty for most street driven 8s . The reason the expectation for most is under 300 is because - people like yourself are promoting .... cheap cheap cheap! The hybrid turbo setup is a futile exercise IMO - Kyle even says in the video "past 400whp - do an REW swap".

You will lose 20-30hp , the rx8 intake makes the power for the engine I’ve done a few I’ll do plenty more, they just sound better, look better the rx8 engine bay is horrid Turbo renesis…. No holy grail, the internals are the problem not the port design Hi comp rotors Apex design weaker Weaker cranks, they go out on run out so easy Terrible low rpm oil pressure standard Cluttered engine bay, middle mounted engine makes it stupid trying to fabricate a productive system Basically if you want more than 250 whp for at least 30,000km don’t do it,
So in other words the rx8 engine sucks. Iron issue alone is enough to keep it at 260 whp. Even if you do a hybrid build, the iron issue will still be there. Someone needs to make a billet iron for the rx8 and maybe they could get pushed a bit harder.
Not really just need studs that's it there is a lot of turbo Renesis out there with more that 300whp also there is one in Spain used for endurance races is about 400 whp on the highest setting and other ones to but for the street

I have talked to a bunch of people about welding to the iron and I think it will make it weaker.

TiG-braze it with silicon bronze or something similar.

and now i found a video that says you should use aluminium. even thoug it dosnt expand at the same rate. it's ductile enough to handle the stress.

Did 550hp with rx8, but 13RE engine. It did awesome though.
