I just want to say this motor has been a real challenge. I fix one end of a spark plug wire and the other end is bad. If I had just taken it to the water it would never had started. I have seen that before people take the boat to the water thinking it will start there when it would not start at home. This motor you can not assume anything I have to check every part to be sure it is good. Somebody started working on this before. I don't know if they just gave up or found a big problem ether way we will press on.
Om Fishing stop being so cheap and get a bunch of 7mm wire I went to the junk yard and got a box full for 10 bucks tested of course can’t beat that I wish I can find fuel line like that every motor I get there rotten
Exelente video , lastima que no entiendo el idioma inglés , pero de todas formas mirando el vídeo puede entender , muchas gracias un abrazo grande desde Argentina . Provincia de santa fe . Ciudad de Coronda
Where do you get your spark plug wire end coil that snaps into the wire for the spark plug, please? I've looked all over the internet trying to find them and haven't had any luck yet.....thank you for any help Bill
This one I just went to google and entered {evinrude 2006b} It came up as a 1970 evinrude. You can got to boat net and enter the number their and It will come up the same.
Stay away from the cheap amazon coils the point inside the coil is as big as a drywall screw and will not work stay with oem get a used coil on eBay or get a new one
@@jimcatx3090 That's an unfair dis-service, because instead of a smooth push in pin they have a screw that needs to be "screwed" into the spark plug wire like any other screw, which in my opinion is a good thing.

Thanks!
I must try
Thanks for watching and good luck.
How does a person use those freeze plug numbers to research a motor? Mine is also missing the ID plate on the transom mount.
