@4:53 in VIDEO SETTINGS/ it is IMPORTANT to change the COLOR MODE from NTSC (default) to HDTV (much higher range of colors). NTSC is old school. thanks for video, it helped me with changing the project settings, so I'm returning the favor. [Hope you don't need to export all your videos again in HD color mode, instead of NTSC)
Also, is it necessary to have a 60fps media source to be able to produce such? Like in this video, you set the project settings at 60fps, and output at 60 fps, but you didn't mention the fps of your source, does that matter? And, if I'm going to produce a 1080p video, but then my source is only 720p, will the output results in 1080p?
You don't necessarily have to have all the sources in 60fps. If you notice, in my video I also set the RECORDING to 60fps, but if you are bringing in videos from outside that you have not recorded in Camtasia, they will will be usable. And as far as the resolution, if you import a 720p video into a 1080p canvas, it will be smaller, so if you want it to fill the entire canvas, you will have to scale it up. This will still work but it will be upscaled so it won't be as sharp as a clip that was imported at full resolution.

I see how to do the other two areas. Can you point me in the correct direction? (Question 2 - my audio seems to be off just slightly. I am recording with a USB Mic. What should I check? THANK YOU! Hi Jaime, thanks for your feedback. In answer to your questions, 1. Camtasia 2021 has replaced the recorder and unfortunately they've launched with very limited functionality. They are now working on bringing back all the functionality from the old recorder but I don't know how long it will take. So you cannot right now specify the framerate for recording, although in the last update they have added again the ability to specify the recording location, so I guess they are working on it hard. A lot of people complained. In the meantime, you can use the Legacy recorder which is exactly like the one in 2020, I have a video on my channel how to find it. 2. From experience, every time I've had a sound offset/delay issue, it was due to the fact that the program could not encode the webcam fast enough so it was getting delayed. Slowly, slowly, it was falling out of sync. Now, if it's constantly out of sync, from the first second, it could be an audio encoding problem, try lowering the recording sample rate. I can't say about your system but do you have a SSD or a normal hard drive? Camtasia is very sensitive to the underlying hardware and a little bit of performance goes a long way. For example, I can hardly edit video that is stored on spinning disks but have no problem when my data is on a SSD. I hope this helps! Let me know if I can help further.
Just a heads up...u can get the Camtasia 2021 recording options by going into the Camtasia install dir and rename LegacyRecorder.exe to CamtasiaRecorder.exe and set it to run as admin. When u do it will launch and have 60fps under the options (just like what video shows).
@@PregnantSausage Thanks, yes, the Legacy recorder is a temporary solution if you are missing the features while they bring them back, but over the last 2-3 months, a lot of functionality has already been restored.

Hello, the lower-thirds image is just that - an image, I designed it in Xara. It's a transparent PNG, but you can do similar things in other programs and something quite similar even in Camtasia, with shapes/annotations. I'd be happy to do one for you if you want. So the functionality is coming back but slowly. When Camtasia 2021 launched, it didn't have ANY options. In the last month they added some of those functions back into the recorder, such as key shortcuts, ability to specify recording location, but it's still work in progress. I could not find the recording settings, only there is an option to record without the tools menu
The recording settings are in the recorder. Press 'Record' in Camtasia, then the recorder opens. There, it has the menu. Which version are you using?

Camtasia 2021 records at variable framerate, so if you edit your project and set it to 60fps, then export with 60fps, it will be like that.
