Thank you for your question. We make a separate aluminum bracket for the troll motor since some buyers want the troll motor on one side vs. the other or none at all.
Make some 15ft again We need more price friendly boats Almost nothing out there for $25k new anymore It’s $15k for a micro skiff and then it jumps to $40k+ for anything after that Sell a 16ft flat deck for under $35k ready to take out on the water and you guys will corner the market Options in this price range are extremely limited and most options are just big canoes or micro skiffs both are narrow and have problems fishing or even crossing rougher water
We would love to build the 15'C and 18'C however the US Coast Guard has updated their weight and flotation requirements and has severely limited the HP ratings for all boats that fall under the 20'0" LOA. For example, the US Coast Guard mandated that our factory could not sell an 18'C boat motor package with over 87HP on a boat we have traditionally sold with a 115-150HP engine safely for over 35 years. There are many builders that are currently in violation of this law and are at risk of losing their MIC designation. Some of the smaller builders are flying under the radar but eventually will have to comply or face steep penalties. This is the reason many boat manufacturers in the US are not building boats under 20ft.
@ So basically no more entry level boats? That completely cuts out those of us who can’t afford a $50k+ boat Honestly boat builders need to be the loud voices in these matters But I understand the task is like digging a canal with tweezers
Why no trolling motor mount?
