This is a self-bailing hull, with foam core and foam filled stingers, so if waves wash over your gunnels, it won't matter, you're not going to sink if you get swamped. She'll stay floating and drain out. However, keep in mind, this is a flats boat, so it is built for shallow water and fishing on sandbars and flats. She will handle 2-3 foot chop in windy bays, and inshore/nearshore fishing, but it isn't an offshore boat, so we don't recommend venturing too far into the open ocean or heavy seas in this vessel.
