This is my first Amouage full bottle purchase after having sampled about 15 of their perfumes and it was the best decision ever. I have received countless compliments since and people asking what I was wearing, even with just 1-2 sprays and after several hours of spraying - the projection and longevity is just out of this world. I totally agree that this is not what one would consider a 'beach' or 'summer' fragrance (no marine elements, I do not even smell any citruses here), and it can totally be worn in all seasons. I personally prefer it in late spring or early autumn. There is also something vintage about it, which I love and it gives the fragrance even more character.

Excellent review. To me, it's a very 'humid' minty fougere with beastly projection and the first Amouage I think I ever wore on the regular. Tied with Bracken in my top 5 fougeres currently. Easily one of the most complimented from the brand too. But it's a very rich, warm and fuzzy scent to the point of being almost piercing. Definitely could be overwhelming like you said. It's definitely not indicative of the beach. The name must refer to the hut itself. Wet, mossy wood. An overgrowth of ivy. A thatched roof of island vetiver. Nice! If you like the realistic herbaceous notes, check out Corsica Furiosa by Parfum d’Empire. You will think you’re walking through a tomato garden!
@@nathanielmoody3656 never heard of this one, time for more research 😎
I have a decant of that (Corsica F) and unfortunately find it too bitter and kind of old fashioned. I would also suggest French Lover by Frederic Malle and Orage by LV (although the latter is too fleeting). My favorite tomato leaf/stem fragrance is From the Garden by Maison Margiela. It’s so uplifting
@@SeldomlyOften check out the whole line. Really good quality for the price. Tabac Tabou is amazing.
I love most of the Amouage fragrances, but this one was just way too similar to the smell of a cat litter. If you ever smelled a cat litter, you will most likely recognize the similarities. I wanted to like it so much that I've tried using it in spring, summer, fall, and winter. It always comes back to a kitty litter box smell.
@@NYCRiders I have a cat actually and I’m quite familiar with the litter box 😅
I don’t get any ammonia in this at all, do you have a specifically scented cat litter?
I have one amouage that is beach hut man
@@yazeerarafath3475 bold start! I don’t think it necessarily represents the house but hey, an open door to Amouage is as good as any ❤️
@@SeldomlyOften how about black iris in summer??
Bcz amouage mention that is summer perfume in website?
@@yazeerarafath3475 Huh, Black Iris is a heavy beast, not really sure how it would fare for the average person in summer. I’m the kind of guy that wears everything, everywhere but I try to give recommendations considering a western perfume taste and approach. In other cultures things vary a lot: in the Middle East you can wear a super heavy scent in the deep of summer and no one will bat an eye.
Does anyone know where I can get legitimate samples of this fragrance?
@@kcknight13 the official Amouage website is best place for genuine samples
Decantx is the main place I have tried. About 30 to 40 scents now. Very trustworthy
Well, looks like I'm selling a kidney again. At least I'll smell good :)
@@j.4610 tell me about it, I just got a 2017 bottle of Oud Satin Mood Extrait 🙃
To me Beach Man smells like being in a grass hut in mountainous jungle next to a waterfall in a light rain. 🤔
@@hellowellallen yes, spot on image! Something out of Lost!
Rumours have been going around that this has been discontinued.
It is
@@RobbieSwan not yet, it’s still on the Amouage website, maybe they want to finish off the stock?
I might need to sample it and consider getting a bottle before it's finally gone @@SeldomlyOften
just emailed them this morning they said its not discontinued. However in most places its out of stock. In my country its still available albeit full price and never discounted
@@komm13 I don't think I'll ever run out personally, get yours while you can!
what is your top 5 fragrance ever?
@@Rexy_boss I’ll make my first top 5 video as a 2k special, soon 👍
It's definitely not indicative of the beach. The name must refer to the hut itself. Wet, mossy wood. An overgrowth of ivy. A thatched roof of island vetiver.
It's cool and greee, with just enough of a dark, resonous heart to make it weird (in a very good way).
There's no better house in the perfumery game, and this one might be my favorite from them.
I just love people's description of Amouage fragrances, it just shows how great they are at conveying a mood and at sparking imagination.
Thanks for the comment :)
I had bought it based on the hype like this video. It was a dissapointment. It is just a flat scent of some greenich, not at all appealing or special. So i sold it after a couple of weeks. A cheap perfume like Salvatore Ferragamo pour Homme is far more better. Do not fall for this hype; for me and what i heared a lot others this is really nothing special.
@@John-ey7vf sorry it didn’t work out for you. I have no reason to hype it other than really liking it. Was this not unique enough for you or was something else missing?
