One of my favorites together with the regular Reflection Man! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it 🤗
It’s amazing 🤩
My all time favorite and my signature scent!
It’s absolutely magical. It’s not my all time favorite (that probably is Royal Tobacco) but it’s the one I would keep if I only had to have one fragrance.
My fragrantica profile has 2 perfumes set as favorites fragrances and one of them is Reflection Man. Simple, hardly a typical Amouage, if at all, but I love it as a versatile clean elegant scent, and it's tied to good memories.
Thank you for the review, Daniel. I wonder what other perfume houses are your most favorite, besides Amouage.
I like perfume houses that have a clear intent and are not afraid of making interesting products. I like Orto Parisi, Serge Lutens, Masque Milano to name another few. Amouage is the brand that really started it for me and I keep it closest to my heart ❤️
Guess i’m getting a sample!
You should, it’s pretty great!
Tried reflection man and it just reminded me too much of Silver Scent intense, a popular teen fragrance in my country, couldn’t get over it.
Maybe I should give it another try.
Associations are incredible. I can’t wear some stuff because I get reminded of certain people of events. Reflection 45 smells slightly different than the Regular one, you might want to give that one a try.
Since you mentioned Amouage Attars…Do you have any Attar reviews on your channel?
Having a large Attar collection, I’ve noticed that applying too much attar oil to a single pulse point will not allow the fragrance to “bloom” or diffuse properly, especially from oily skin. Applying smaller amounts of oil to each pulse points drastically improves diffusion of the fragrance from the skin with excellent longevity.
As “Mandy Aftel” mentions in her book, ““Individual body chemistries react differently with the same perfume elements. Some bring out the florals, some the spices, some the animal notes. The skin is a base under the base, and thus base notes form the most intimate connection between perfume and wearer.””
Skin types:
Dry = Top
Combination = Middle Note
Oily = Base Note
Fragrances will perform better on your skin if you’re Wearing notes that are the opposite of your skin type. For example,.. Citrus (Top Note) or Florals (Mid note) perform better on Oily Skin and Woody (Base Note) or Oriental (Mid-Base) are enhanced on Dry Skin
Thanks for the very interesting and informative comment!
I have a full sampler from the Amouage attars and I'll be going over it in 4 first impression videos (2 per video). I have not tried any yet because I'm not sure how to properly apply for best effect (your info is very useful) and in any case, I want to get a true first impression :)
I'm usually more in the realm of the Chong Amouages (have 4 from that era), but I really enjoyed Reflection 45 (more than the OG) and also Enclave so far!
Another very unique newer one is Purpose. That really gives me old school Amouage vibes. Will be covering that one soon.
@@SeldomlyOften really? excited for that one then! I have not smelled a single Quentin Bisch so far that I enjoyed :(
@@ricolini70 he is known for his overly modern stuff but Purpose smells like an old abandoned library to me 😅
Purpose is without Doubt One of the Best Amouage releases of All Time!
I'm Big Fan of Quentin so yeah absolutely a Hit.
Guidance also Definitely Worth Checking
@@Le_KBey when you say without a doubt, how many of the Chong era have you sniffed? :)
I love reflection 45 but the projection is very weak, to combat this issue I tend to layer it with the original reflection man.
Yes, I don’t think the projection is massive. Good idea on the layering!
High oil concentrations do not usually "project."
Defeats the purpose of the scent with layering
@@mattl7424 I'm not really into layer myself because I like to respect what a specific fragrance is meant to be.
That being said, I think that if it's your signature, getting the most out of it by layering is acceptable.
Serge Lutens sells oil versions (they call them confit) of their more popular fragrances with instructions to layer them with the EDPs :)
@@SeldomlyOftenI don’t layer. One think I would is a chemical to help protect but it doesn’t alter the scent
Have you tried the gold bottle ("Liquide") from Liquide Imaginaires? I would be super interested in your opinion of this scent.
I can send you a sample.
Never tried it! The brand is really intriguing to me, it’s kind of difficult to find samples for them though. The annoying part of all this is that I live in Switzerland.
Appreciate the comparison! Yet to try it myself but I know it gets high praise from others as well. I'm a fan of the original for sure, but it's only a strong like for me, not a love. 🤍
You gotta try the 45, it really ups the interestingness for me. I would not own the original all considered.
