You can always stop by on your way south to play a game of Earth. I taught Castles of Burgundy to Catie, Max, Kortni, and Grandma. Kortni loved it, not sure about Max, Catie said she liked it the first time but there is just so much going on, and I basically took all of Grandma's turns for her. Looks like we are back to Catan with Grandma 🤣. Jacob and I have played Battle Line a few times and you will be happy to hear I lost every game. I also taught Star Realms to Teri who suffered through but Jacob and Catie loved it. Eric and dad either didn't or wouldn't play. Best new ever for you, we played Wizard with Max and I lost badly, however we didn't play the last hand because we were exhausted from hiking sooo....did I really lose? And we played Sets and Runs. Teri was killing it but Eric pulled out a win. I however did win last hand so that is like winning. Lastly, we played Rummikub a few times. I won once, maybe dad won (I didn't play all the games), probably Eric won a time or two since he always wins. And that is our Spring Break break down. Otherwise the hiking was amazing and we missed you all. Glad you are loving the snow. Hope to meet you at the table soon (come see us). Love you and your channel baby girl. You are amazing!!!😘 #nopokerfacesinthisfamily
You played so many games! Congrats! As a person in the hobby, I aspire to play so many more games. Unfortunately, I don't really want to try BGA, as I would rather touch my games. Oh, well. At least I have a ton of physical board games that I am trying to get through. Board games are fun!
I totally get it! I normally am a huge advocate for just playing games in person, but I've found it really difficult to find people who are interested in playing with me since we moved so in order to learn some of my games I've had to take to online. I think both can be really nice, and I love that online I get to know so many more people than I ever would in person!
Haha, I only just commented on the previous video that it's completely fine if the glasses come out and here they are! :D I have to say that stats don't do it for me personally because I never ever log my own plays. But I do like hearing about any highlights (and lowlights if applicable) or remarkable situation that people experienced in their plays, those are always interesting. I also received LORE only a couple days ago and it is ridiculously beautiful. Can't wait for the expansion campaign for EARTH to start in late April. If you want the KS edition with the nicer components you might go for that one as well. (if you can wait for fulfillment to come around being the eternal disclaimer for any crowdfunding games)
LORE is crazy gorgeous, you'll have to tell me what you think after you get it to the table! Thanks for the info on the EARTH campaign, I'll have to look into it! :)
I'm a "real time" gamer on BGA myself. If I'm playing a game, I'm playing a game. I don't want to have to wait an extended period of time for someone to make a move. 😉 If you enjoy bag building, I recommend Life of the Amazonia. I bought the deluxe edition with wooden trees, water flowers, and discs for the bags. You'll love the cute "animeeples" in the game and talk about table presence, it knocks it out of the park! I too am a huge fan of Castles of Burgundy. Definitely an evergreen game.
@@AfterEvenfall it's a really great game. It seems to me to be Cascadia on steroids! Having a solo mode that only requires a slight difference to setup is also a plus.
I love this recap, please do it every month! It would also be nice if you show us the games you mention (like with an image on the screen) and maybe some stats on the screen (with a final list of most played games of the month?). These are just my ideas :)
Yes it is! I like it, however my critique is that the beginnings of each of the books is really slow. They pick up after about halfway through and get really good, but you have to power through that first part!
@@AfterEvenfall yeah I would agree with that. Although assassin's blade hooked me from the start. I'm currently about halfway through heir of fire. My wife suggested I start it a month ago and I've been hooked.
I don’t (haven’t) played on BGA yet. You wouldn’t happen to play Castles of Burgundy on IOS would you? I’m addicted to playing that! Have a great day! 😊
I don't like taking long turns on BGA, I mostly play in "real-time" mode because I also like the games to be quick. I like sometimes just to have a quick game of Sushi Go and in takes just a few minutes to finish usually but now I'm doing a tournament and it's a struggle for me to wait few hours between turns.
I use the BGA notepad in the upper right corner of screen to keep track of my ToDo’s for the long turn bases games, works like a charm.
That's a great idea, I'll have to start doing that!

Personally never been a fan of BGA because of the time between turns.
Luckily I have about 10 people who meet up every week to play games.
That sounds like so much fun, I wish I could have the same!

I need to get Amazonia! I almost backed it and then got distracted and forgot about the game. I've been kicking myself ever since for forgetting!

You should vlog you board game stores excursion.
I'm planning on it! :)

Those are great ideas, I'll definitely take them to mind! :)
Love the video! Just popping in to ask is that the throne of glass series behind you and if so how did you like it?

It's really a great series! I've been stuck on tower of dawn for a while though! I need to pick it back up again!
@@AfterEvenfall my wife did a tandem read with ToD and EoS and Said it made it a lot easier of a read.
This was a fun video! Gonna have to play some more paint the roses so we at least have a win in march!
That sounds great to me! :)

I totally get that! I need to play more at real-time for sure!
We need an Evenfall BGA group :)
Haha working on it! :)
Trying to get those free boop wins🙌
Haha I'll see you over on BGA!
I need to check what BGA is, I never played any board games online
It is board game arena! If you have a hard time finding friends to play games with in person, it's a super nice resource to use!
No way bro played Connect 4 on BGA. 😂
And won! ;)
No Root?! Smh😢
I wish! I can't find anyone to play it with me!
