- Hey Everyone, in this review I'll be showing you why the Lexus LS430 is still a great vehicle to purchase even 15 Years later after it was sold new. This car is a 2006 Lexus LS with 180K Miles. You'll see in the video just how nice it is and has a ton of great features you'll enjoy using on a daily basis. Currently in March 2020 this car was being sold at the used car lot for $8990. Let me know what you think about this car and have you owned one before? I sold the car to a man that traded in a 2004 Lexus GS300 and he fell in love with the LS once he test drove it with me!

189,000 miles, probably still drives like silk. The 3UZFE motor could possibly be one of the best engines ever built.

I own a 2006 ls430 and it is so quiet and feels like driving on clouds and it’s pretty fast too sometimes when your driving fast I can’t even tell because this beautiful car is so quiet

Favorite car forsure. I have an 04 ultra luxury with 50,000 miles. Has the recliner in the back with massagers, air ride suspension, adaptive cruise control, 1 owner grandpa car and garaged.

It has a frickin air purifier in it??? Omg now I HAVE to have that trim level. Everyone pokes fun at me for having multiple air purifiers at home, in my office at work, to have one in my car would be icing on the cake.

Thought somebody would’ve mentioned it long before me but considering this has the ultra lux package, the “plastic piece” around the emblem you mentioned should be the radar sensor for the radar cruise control.
It’s actually the sensor for the PCS or Pre Collision System. You will see ultra luxuries without this sensor but they are still equipped with the dynamic cruise control. If you see this sensor you know it’s fully optioned 😉 going to look at an 05 fully optioned gray over black tomorrow with less than 90k miles, will probably drive off the lot with it 🎉
I have that same exact car in white which I bought for my daughter to drive. Even though I have a 740iL I still drive the Lexus at times.
Best Lexus LS sedan ever built, love the Ultra Luxury package and that has the adaptive radar cruise control because it has the Lexus pre-collision system, so it doesn’t have the laser cruise control, there were two levels of the ultra luxury package one without pre-collision system and one with the pre-collision system. Some people say it’s a boring car compared to a Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Jaguar. I’ll take it over those early to mid 2,000’s luxury sedans any day with the fact of low repair costs and outstanding reliability.

I had been looking for one of these when my guy at lexus of Albuquerque found me a one owner trade in 2014 lexus LS460L with 30k miles. I absolutely love it but would have been very happy with an LS430.

I have an identical 2005, 136k miles. Just replaced the front lower control arms, now it rides like a dream.
Did you replace the entire arm or just the bushing?

Hoe much was that? I know repairs can be expensive. I was thinking of trading my solara with only 45 k miles which is very reliable for more luxury but am afraid as mechanics see you coming in Los Angeles and especially dealers.
Great review! I don't mind the low volume background music. I wouldnt want a silent backgroud. Some people love to critique.

I'm a couple years late but...that plastic piece in front of the logo on the front of the car is the radar sensor (for its Adaptive Dynamic Range Cruise Control).
I have the same exact year model and package the lens over the lexus emblem if for the adaptive cruise control the laser module/sensor right center in front of radiator
Also puddle light work when you approach to unlock the car to get in

2006 had less HP vs 2004 / 2005 due to emissions requirements
S classes everywhere just like it but I agree other cars don't compare with high end luxury cars like this
The plastic on the grill is for the radar cruise control
The lamps under the mirror work only when you open the door lock by the remote control

I am sure by now you have been told that the car is a keyless entry so you don't need to put the key in the ignition. Also that the milage is high for an 06. I bought a 2006 LS430 two years ago and it only had 112,000. It's not real suede. Real suede is made from leather. Yes the GPS DVD can be updated for around $150. The DVD player is in the trunk underneath the mat. The center console actually has two buttons that open it up. The top button access the small tray and the bottom one opens the storage bin. There are also two small hidden compartments. I will let you guess where they are at.
The price is really great. In fact its a steal. In the Northwest the same car with the same options last year were selling for between $12,000 and $14,000. Even with high milage. I bought mine for just over $12,000.
My absolute favorite gen of the LS,,I'd want this in the LS460 AWD though,grey and blacked out windows

I have a 2006 LS430 which my daughter drives. I make excuses to drive it from time to time. I love it more than my 2001 BMW 740iL.

For 180 I’d say for a ls430 it’s in OK shape. I’ve seen that most ls430s low owner count and high miles usually tend to be in better shape than many other cars on the road.

I cant decide, any advice would be great. I have a grey on grey Toyota solar with only45 k miles and i love the feel of it. I am retired and only drive 3-4 k a year. It has the 4 cylinder engine which may eventually burn oil i found out but with my driving it would be many years from now. Im considering selling for a ls430 just like this, but im hesitant about cost of repairs in Los Angeles . I am also considering the aptera when it comes out. Im just not sure thats gonna be enough of a satisfying car even though it will be very low maintenance and i will never pay for gas. Any thoughts? I guess ill drive a Ls 430 then wait and drive the Aptera when it comes out , then if i like the Ls wait until i see a mint condition with under 50k miles find a silver with beige like this and have this car for 20 more years.

The front passenger wing is a mile out its had a front end shunt bonnit and wing dont line up its had a good whack .

I have this same year with the black interior color combo but mine has the custom luxury package which is a step below the ultra luxury and I'm never selling this car. I've had BMW's and mercedes and as far as reliability goes is no where near what this car brings to the table.

My 1992 Cadillac Sedan Deville would blow the Lexus away in comparing leather seats. Only 82,000 miles driven by and older couple and you just melted into the seats. Once you were behind the wheel you did not want to get up. It was like you were sitting in a leather couch. Never has been a car I owned that came close to the Caddy in comfort. Too bad the rust took it's toll. Driven in MA.
That said those seats on the Ls430 look pretty comfortable. Great review.

Yeah that music is crazy. I used to drive a private car service and one thing i realized is never play music, not even safe music. Music is the hardest thing to play for the masses.

The lights under the side view mirrors only come on when you unlock the doors, as well as when you first shut off the engine. They stay on for about 30 seconds or so.

A decent example of the UL model. I'd avoid calling it "Pristine" with the paint missing from the mirrors, and the cracks on the steering wheel.

The hood is also out of alignment if you look closely in conjunction with the headlight . Tells me it was in a crash .

It's a Lexus, but it's also an older vehicle. Lots more to factor in. The Carfax and history, the prior ownership. This is my all-time favorite Lexus model and I don't mind paying for a fair price.
