Just bought a ‘15 F150 Platinum, 5.0L V8 for 4k. 244k miles and needed some repairs, but it seemed like a decent deal.
It was overheating due to dry rotted hoses and was leaking oil. 2.8k worth of repairs, so I’m 6.8k out of pocket for the truck and repairs.

F150 '01 392K. 5.4L 2V Original motor, tranny, starter, wiper motor, radiator & much more. 16MPG . It eats front tires & coils as snacks. Other than that still purrs like a kitten.

I bought a 2011 F150 XLT 5.0 super cab with the 3.73 axle that had 204k miles on her for 8K /private sale. Brake pedal looked great, no worn right side to show mainly highway miles as seller claimed. Runs like a top. Love it!

It's at 14.2 mpg because it's constantly towing a 3-4 ton trailer with constant light payload about 1k pounds or less. 3 sensors problems came up, 1st oil pressure sensor messing up (common problem) switched it out, good after that. 2nd emission sensor messed up(common), switched it out and was good. 3rd MOST recent "Check fuel fill inlet" sensor for capless gas tank was dirty, cleaned it was was good too. And just common maintenance oil, coolant, brakes, etc. It's a strong motor and tranny (still no leaks). 9.5/10
