Have him be literally staring into the void of the dark forest and trying to figure out what to do. They could even expand on the fourth cat prophecy and make it actually make sense.

I don’t like Millie because of the way she views Briarlight’s disability- she has somewhat of a martyr mommy complex and she didn’t have to treat Briarlight’s life as a tragedy the way she did, that’s all her perspective and it was in her control to change that. I understand the initial shock of Briarlight’s injury but we should’ve seen her apologizing for what she had said because it’s deeply upsetting to read about as a severely physically disabled person. Its not something the Erins should have ever just forgotten about.
As someone who is somewhat disabled the way warrior cats handles disability time and time again is really sad to me, especially the whole "jay feathers disability was a punishment for Leafpool" that seems to be a popular sentiment within the fandom

And I get not reading the books at all, because while it's not amazing or horrible, many books are hit or miss and some are just not that well-written and a slob to get through, haha! The reason they aren't explicitly gay and why we haven't seen any gay cats to date is because the publishing company, HarperCollins, isn't willing to publish a book with gay characters in it. HarperCollins is a notably homophobic Christian publishing label, so unless the Erins decide to find a new publisher, we won't be seeing any explicitly gay cats even if they wanted to write some.
17:25 I feel like the ambitious Hollyleaf and the warrior code Hollyleaf actually fit very well together. It's a natural progression to go from believing that you are great and will help the clan if given an important position, to also thinking that following those rules will eventually give you exacly that-and on a even more cynical level, will protect your future power from anyone who makes the ''obvious'' mistake of opposing you in any way(''The word of the leader is the warrior code''). Her slightly more rebellious side was pretty much crushed in Dark River after the war she almost created, so that's another reason for this rigidity. So when she learns she has parents who didn't fit into the specific format decided by the warrior code, what bothers her isn't just the fact that it doesn't follow the rules, it is also that, in her mind, it destroys her chances of becoming leader-she might not even be completely wrong there. Quote from Long Shadows(I have the french translation, so this may not be exact):''More than anything, she wanted to be one of the three chosen ones. She wanted to be special, to have an extraordinary destiny(...)I would have worked more than anyone to become a formidable leader and leave my footprint on all the clans. I can't let Ashfur ruin it all!''.
What I think: Mousefur should have been firestars deputy, not graystripe. Then, when mousefur retires, give the spot to brightheart or whitewing or brackenfur! Then give the new deputy a character arc, maybe novella, especially if it’s brackenfur.
This is actually a very helpful video, it helped me understand your opinions on characters like mapleshade and Sasha who I felt like I was unconsciously holding a grudge on your depictions of them as stupid from your pedestal in the fandom. Idk hearing your actual opinions is a much better way to deal with this rather then taking the shorts too seriously and being a little mad.
It’s weird how much I agree with you about warriors related things. I rly like longtail and I quite like squirrelflight. I hate mapleshade and I’m not rly keen on greystripe for the same reasons as you but I do think he’s quite comical sometimes.

Mildly unrelated to the video. A week or two ago, I stumbled onto this channel while looking for videos about a floating blue heart with a thing for legs. Instead I found this channel and some animations about some funny little series called warrior cats. I did not expect to be out weirded by a YA series about cats having turf wars, but I’m not complaining. This was a hell of a ride. A downwards spiral into fluffy ghosts and cat magics. Dark lifeless forests and memory based afterlives. On the cruelty of determinism and treacherous prophecies. This channel has shepherded me into a can based fever dream. Into an eldritch universe thinly disguised as a children’s book series. Into a mess I’ve come to love, but can’t recommend for the very same reasons I enjoy it. Thank you MoonKitti, for showing me the way to this strange little world that is slowly, but surely, overtaking my sanity. You are truly wonderful, and I will never forgive you for what you’ve done. This is a long video, but you're spot on about Longtail being Deputy over Graystripe. And I hate how he was reduced to blind elder, and even MORE, I absolutely LOATHE how they killed him off. It was wayyyy out of character for Mousefur. It would've been better for Briarpaw to have gotten stuck and for Longtail to go in after her and die pushing her out of the way.

Out of the Broken Code series my least favorite is Bristlefrost. Shadowsight and Rootspring are a tie for my favorite. Sorreltail’s death almost killed me. I love her.
my opinion on pebbleshine isn't a popular one but let me talk about why I love her. She is taken away and was frantic, she didn't know what to do without hawkwing and how to take care of her kits. Then her kits are born, she dies later. The main reason I love her is how I interpret her place in starclan. She decides to go down as a ghost so that she can watch her kits grow up and see hawkwing again. Hawkwing then develops feelings for plumwillow. Imagine dying, then 2 seconds into your death you watch your husband fall in love with another cat. Hawkwing barely mourns for Pebbleshine. For me I love Pebbleshine, she's just such a loving cat and you don't get the same story anywhere else.
Aw it's nice that people like cats not everyone think about! While I don't really like Pebbleshine as much as you, I also happen to have favorites that are minor characters and such. But your way of thinking is interesting and made me think more... It is nice that she's a loving mother, deciding to become a ghost to watch over her kits... It must of been hard for her, and I can imagine her being heartbroken not being able to do anything when Twigbranch talks to Violetshine (both apprentices or kits at the time?) about her mother in a hopeful way, but Violetshine dismisses the thought. She must have wanted to prove to them that she was there, thinking for them, caring for them, and that she loved them fully and that they weren't abandoned randomly.
I disagree with Hawkwing “barely grieving for her.” Hawkwing’s love for Plumwillow *is* a result of his grief for Pebbleshine. He had the hopes of having a family with Pebbleshine, only for it to be taken away from him. In his grief, he rebounded to Plumwillow and tried to replace what he had lost with Pebbleshine and their kits with Plumwillow and her kits. In the end, it’s not a permanent solution and he has to loose his family with Plumwillow again to their biological father - Sandynose - and has to face his problem again. He finally accepts he won’t get the life he wanted with Pebbleshine in the end. He does get a bit of a happy ending when he reunites with Twigbranch and Violetshine though
The reason so many people like hollyleaf is because she is a very dynamic character, who changes based on events, developments, and mistakes she and other cats around her do and have. This I find is very rare in warrior cats, where a cat changes instead of being the same all the time, even when their life is completely different.
Oh!! Also: Ashfoot was mistaken for Ashfur in the same book his body was found during the investigation into his death/the beginning of the journey to find Sol!
@@cureparfait i personally don't feel bad for them and actually prefer it because they were formally kittypets and if they liked their names EX: Billy, he would rather want to keep it or incorporate it in his name, so Billystorm makes sense in that sense. Like if I were to join a weird cult and have an option of changing my name completely, or incorporate my name, i would choose to incorporate it, because I like my name. Unless some cats like Sharpclaw changed his name completely. (But wait, I don't think he was a kittypet?) Anyways, some cats would have attachment to their old names and would want to keep them in some sort of way, no? And personally speaking (again, you don't ever have to agree with me just dumping my thoughts here, sorry!) I find SkyClan names in general more fun and exciting than the fifth Robinwing, and gives more personality or just differentiate than the other Clan names. Personal favorites are Fidgetflake, Bellaleaf, and Billystorm.

I would really love to see books about cats in starclan, it sounds really interesting. I’ve thought about what cats’ lives would be like in starclan. Like Bluestar, how things would play out with Mosskit and stuff. So I really love the idea of a spin off warriors series.
I think you actually perfectly explained why I personally HATE Mapleshade. I like her as a CHARACTER, but I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate how many DEFENDERS she has the STANS she has. And I never could figure out WHY she has such hardcore stans that defend her reasoning and justification but you just did it perfectly: the dead kitten thing. People always go "oh well she was DELUSIONAL she was seeing her DEAD KITTENS" and I'm always like "okay but CHILDREN would NEVER want you to MURDER for them. and MURDER is WRONG no matter WHAT the justification." The only time murder would be OKAY is if it's justifiable homicide. And what Mapleshade did was NOT justifiable homicide. Not in the slightest.
Oh my, this is exactly what is happening with Mapleshade! I'm a hater too and I tried multiple times to explain Mapleshade fans why Mapleshade is bad and it's all Mapleshade's fault and the cats she killed are innocent. Unsuccessfully. So maybe I should rather make a whole video based on this and say out loud all my problems with Mapleshade. :) This is a very delicate topic, especially that she has way too many fans and defenders.

The thing about Greystripe is I *know* he's goofy, indecisive, doesn't face many consequences, abandons the people he cares about, is unloyal, etc. But whenever I hear his name my brain takes all these traits, puts them in a flour sifter, and shakes it until the only thing left is "goofy." So now everytime I see him all I think is "heehee goofy kitty cat :))))"
Possibly unpopular opinion(?): Sandstorm was an annoying little brat until she became an elder. Of course she bullied firestar when he was an apprentice, we know this and I'm pretty sure nearly everyone can agree she was a little brat, but even after she became a warrior she was kind of sensitive and aggressive and took everything negatively. Like when firestar gave someone else an apprentice before her, Sandstorm got personally offended and proceeded to ignore Fireheart entirely and whenever she did talk to him it was just to make some passive aggressive remark. Sure some may think she deserved an apprentice because she was his mate and she should be a big priority, but Fireheart was deputy at the time and as deputy he needed to focus on his clanmates in general, not just her. Honestly the only reason I felt more soft towards her later on was because of how she died in a vision of shadows. She admitted that she knew the journey would likely kill her, but that she wanted to die helping her clanmates in some way. She refused to be healed because she knew she was old, and if she was going to die anytime soon then she wanted to die for her clan, not just sitting uselessly in the elders den. She was nice and gentle to Alderheart when he was blaming himself, and I genuinely got emotional when her spirit visited him. Also some extra little thoughts/opinions: -Yellowfang would have been one of the best mama's ever had she not had so many issues with her kits, and even with the way Brokenkit was acting she was still an amazing mother -I like to believe Rainflower (Crookedstar's mom) is not in starclan nor the dark forest, but is some spirit roaming the forest to this day, sort of in purgatory. Kind of like how Needletail roamed aimlessly outside of Starclan for awhile after her death. -Mapleshade was a better mother to Crookedstar than Rainflower was. -I like to think Mapleshade really believed she was doing something good for Crookedpaw/jaw. Of course she was unfair and aggressive towards him, but she spoke a LOT about him becoming a powerful leader someday. What she did wasn't right, but I like to think she genuinely believed it was and that she thought she was making him powerful and strong rather than hurting him. -Tom the kittypet is the worst character ever, he's stinky and I wish he got hit by the monster instead of Turtle tail

Different note, I've never read a single book of Warriors Cat but Moonkitti dragged me into this fandom and now I know generally the plot of ever arc and characters pretty well 😂
Although please to fact-check or something and don't exactly take fanon interoperation or MAPs/PMVs as actual facts! Stuff from fans =/= canon stuff from the actual books! i mean, hard to do if you never read the books but at least check wiki, even though it's not as reliable since it's run by fans.
Sorry, not saying every fan who never read warriors do this, but I know ppl who do this and it's really annoying and it's just a general reminder.
And I get not reading the books at all, because while it's not amazing or horrible, many books are hit or miss and some are just not that well-written and a slob to get through, haha! Some are good though.

Im not even asking for like, a ton, but like... cats can be gay too. all animals can be gay lol it would be nice to see it, maybe a story where like, yk, they wanna be gay but the religious cat cult dont like that? that would fit in with the love-stories they like to do, where it isnt allowed but they cant help it? make em from different clans, too, to spice it up, and they dont have to worry about having kits? maybe they could even have someone from their own clans kits to hide their trail?

@@alteregobruh The Erins have pretty strongly implied that they thought Jake and Tallstar to be in love, same with Ravenpaw and Barley. The reason they aren't explicitly gay and why we haven't seen any gay cats to date is because the publishing company, HarperCollins, isn't willing to publish a book with gay characters in it. HarperCollins is a notably homophobic Christian publishing label, so unless the Erins decide to find a new publisher, we won't be seeing any explicitly gay cats even if they wanted to write some.

17:25 I feel like the ambitious Hollyleaf and the warrior code Hollyleaf actually fit very well together. It's a natural progression to go from believing that you are great and will help the clan if given an important position, to also thinking that following those rules will eventually give you exacly that-and on a even more cynical level, will protect your future power from anyone who makes the ''obvious'' mistake of opposing you in any way(''The word of the leader is the warrior code''). Her slightly more rebellious side was pretty much crushed in Dark River after the war she almost created, so that's another reason for this rigidity. So when she learns she has parents who didn't fit into the specific format decided by the warrior code, what bothers her isn't just the fact that it doesn't follow the rules, it is also that, in her mind, it destroys her chances of becoming leader-she might not even be completely wrong there. Quote from Long Shadows(I have the french translation, so this may not be exact):''More than anything, she wanted to be one of the three chosen ones. She wanted to be special, to have an extraordinary destiny(...)I would have worked more than anyone to become a formidable leader and leave my footprint on all the clans. I can't let Ashfur ruin it all!''.

What I think: Mousefur should have been firestars deputy, not graystripe. Then, when mousefur retires, give the spot to brightheart or whitewing or brackenfur! Then give the new deputy a character arc, maybe novella, especially if it’s brackenfur.

This is actually a very helpful video, it helped me understand your opinions on characters like mapleshade and Sasha who I felt like I was unconsciously holding a grudge on your depictions of them as stupid from your pedestal in the fandom. Idk hearing your actual opinions is a much better way to deal with this rather then taking the shorts too seriously and being a little mad.

It’s weird how much I agree with you about warriors related things. I rly like longtail and I quite like squirrelflight. I hate mapleshade and I’m not rly keen on greystripe for the same reasons as you but I do think he’s quite comical sometimes.
omg me too. Although my favorites aren't exactly the same, I do share similar opinions or to some degree it's the same. Like I also love Longtail as well as dislike Mapleshade.

Mildly unrelated to the video.
A week or two ago, I stumbled onto this channel while looking for videos about a floating blue heart with a thing for legs. Instead I found this channel and some animations about some funny little series called warrior cats.
I did not expect to be out weirded by a YA series about cats having turf wars, but I’m not complaining. This was a hell of a ride. A downwards spiral into fluffy ghosts and cat magics. Dark lifeless forests and memory based afterlives. On the cruelty of determinism and treacherous prophecies.
This channel has shepherded me into a can based fever dream. Into an eldritch universe thinly disguised as a children’s book series. Into a mess I’ve come to love, but can’t recommend for the very same reasons I enjoy it.
Thank you MoonKitti, for showing me the way to this strange little world that is slowly, but surely, overtaking my sanity. You are truly wonderful, and I will never forgive you for what you’ve done. Have a good one.

This is a long video, but you're spot on about Longtail being Deputy over Graystripe. And I hate how he was reduced to blind elder, and even MORE, I absolutely LOATHE how they killed him off. It was wayyyy out of character for Mousefur. It would've been better for Briarpaw to have gotten stuck and for Longtail to go in after her and die pushing her out of the way.

my opinion on pebbleshine isn't a popular one but let me talk about why I love her. She is taken away and was frantic, she didn't know what to do without hawkwing and how to take care of her kits. Then her kits are born, she dies later. The main reason I love her is how I interpret her place in starclan. She decides to go down as a ghost so that she can watch her kits grow up and see hawkwing again. Hawkwing then develops feelings for plumwillow. Imagine dying, then 2 seconds into your death you watch your husband fall in love with another cat. Hawkwing barely mourns for Pebbleshine. For me I love Pebbleshine, she's just such a loving cat and you don't get the same story anywhere else.
Aw it's nice that people like cats not everyone think about! While I don't really like Pebbleshine as much as you, I also happen to have favorites that are minor characters and such. But your way of thinking is interesting and made me think more... It is nice that she's a loving mother, deciding to become a ghost to watch over her kits... It must of been hard for her, and I can imagine her being heartbroken not being able to do anything when Twigbranch talks to Violetshine (both apprentices or kits at the time?) about her mother in a hopeful way, but Violetshine dismisses the thought. She must have wanted to prove to them that she was there, thinking for them, caring for them, and that she loved them fully and that they weren't abandoned randomly.
I disagree with Hawkwing “barely grieving for her.” Hawkwing’s love for Plumwillow *is* a result of his grief for Pebbleshine. He had the hopes of having a family with Pebbleshine, only for it to be taken away from him. In his grief, he rebounded to Plumwillow and tried to replace what he had lost with Pebbleshine and their kits with Plumwillow and her kits. In the end, it’s not a permanent solution and he has to loose his family with Plumwillow again to their biological father - Sandynose - and has to face his problem again. He finally accepts he won’t get the life he wanted with Pebbleshine in the end. He does get a bit of a happy ending when he reunites with Twigbranch and Violetshine though

The reason so many people like hollyleaf is because she is a very dynamic character, who changes based on events, developments, and mistakes she and other cats around her do and have. This I find is very rare in warrior cats, where a cat changes instead of being the same all the time, even when their life is completely different.

@@cureparfait i personally don't feel bad for them and actually prefer it because they were formally kittypets and if they liked their names EX: Billy, he would rather want to keep it or incorporate it in his name, so Billystorm makes sense in that sense. Like if I were to join a weird cult and have an option of changing my name completely, or incorporate my name, i would choose to incorporate it, because I like my name. Unless some cats like Sharpclaw changed his name completely. (But wait, I don't think he was a kittypet?) Anyways, some cats would have attachment to their old names and would want to keep them in some sort of way, no?
And personally speaking (again, you don't ever have to agree with me just dumping my thoughts here, sorry!) I find SkyClan names in general more fun and exciting than the fifth Robinwing, and gives more personality or just differentiate than the other Clan names. Personal favorites are Fidgetflake, Bellaleaf, and Billystorm.

I would really love to see books about cats in starclan, it sounds really interesting. I’ve thought about what cats’ lives would be like in starclan. Like Bluestar, how things would play out with Mosskit and stuff. So I really love the idea of a spin off warriors series.
I think you actually perfectly explained why I personally HATE Mapleshade. I like her as a CHARACTER, but I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate how many DEFENDERS she has the STANS she has. And I never could figure out WHY she has such hardcore stans that defend her reasoning and justification but you just did it perfectly: the dead kitten thing. People always go "oh well she was DELUSIONAL she was seeing her DEAD KITTENS" and I'm always like "okay but CHILDREN would NEVER want you to MURDER for them. and MURDER is WRONG no matter WHAT the justification." The only time murder would be OKAY is if it's justifiable homicide. And what Mapleshade did was NOT justifiable homicide. Not in the slightest.
Oh my, this is exactly what is happening with Mapleshade! I'm a hater too and I tried multiple times to explain Mapleshade fans why Mapleshade is bad and it's all Mapleshade's fault and the cats she killed are innocent. Unsuccessfully. So maybe I should rather make a whole video based on this and say out loud all my problems with Mapleshade. :) This is a very delicate topic, especially that she has way too many fans and defenders.
nobody is justifying that, we mapleshade apologists just understand nuance (she was halluicenating. "kits dont encourage" HER BRAIN ISN'T WORKING PROPERLY. does that mean she had the right? nope.) its a fiction cat, and overanalysing people who like certain cats is weird.

The thing about Greystripe is I *know* he's goofy, indecisive, doesn't face many consequences, abandons the people he cares about, is unloyal, etc. But whenever I hear his name my brain takes all these traits, puts them in a flour sifter, and shakes it until the only thing left is "goofy." So now everytime I see him all I think is "heehee goofy kitty cat :))))"

Possibly unpopular opinion(?): Sandstorm was an annoying little brat until she became an elder. Of course she bullied firestar when he was an apprentice, we know this and I'm pretty sure nearly everyone can agree she was a little brat, but even after she became a warrior she was kind of sensitive and aggressive and took everything negatively. Like when firestar gave someone else an apprentice before her, Sandstorm got personally offended and proceeded to ignore Fireheart entirely and whenever she did talk to him it was just to make some passive aggressive remark. Sure some may think she deserved an apprentice because she was his mate and she should be a big priority, but Fireheart was deputy at the time and as deputy he needed to focus on his clanmates in general, not just her. Honestly the only reason I felt more soft towards her later on was because of how she died in a vision of shadows. She admitted that she knew the journey would likely kill her, but that she wanted to die helping her clanmates in some way. She refused to be healed because she knew she was old, and if she was going to die anytime soon then she wanted to die for her clan, not just sitting uselessly in the elders den. She was nice and gentle to Alderheart when he was blaming himself, and I genuinely got emotional when her spirit visited him.
Also some extra little thoughts/opinions:
-Yellowfang would have been one of the best mama's ever had she not had so many issues with her kits, and even with the way Brokenkit was acting she was still an amazing mother
-I like to believe Rainflower (Crookedstar's mom) is not in starclan nor the dark forest, but is some spirit roaming the forest to this day, sort of in purgatory. Kind of like how Needletail roamed aimlessly outside of Starclan for awhile after her death.
-Mapleshade was a better mother to Crookedstar than Rainflower was.
-I like to think Mapleshade really believed she was doing something good for Crookedpaw/jaw. Of course she was unfair and aggressive towards him, but she spoke a LOT about him becoming a powerful leader someday. What she did wasn't right, but I like to think she genuinely believed it was and that she thought she was making him powerful and strong rather than hurting him.
-Tom the kittypet is the worst character ever, he's stinky and I wish he got hit by the monster instead of Turtle tail
