An area nearby to me gets much more google traffic for the trades work that I do than my area does. Is there any way that I can make Google recognise the other area as my address on Google My Business? I looked into getting a virtual address or PO Box but Google apparently does not accept this.
By the way, I am actually a service business and so that other area is actually the area that I drive to, to do my day to day work. I don't actually work for the residents in my specific area.

so even if there is no search traffic for that specific keyword, such as "garden rooms romford", you still create the landing page and do you also add that as a product into GMB?
If the area is heavily populated, it is still a good idea to build a page because the page can still rank for 'near me' keywords.
Additionally, if someone searches for the keyword without specifying the area and they are located in the area, the page can still still rank. For example, if they Google just 'garden room builders' and they are in the Romford area.
Another way to gauge local interest is to use Google Keyword Planner to search for keywords related to the service and adjust the location settings to the specific town.
This allows you to see the local demand for the service.
And yes you can add this as a product if you wish to, honestly we havn't seen a massive difference when adding the location pages as products. Internally link them on an areas we cover page and the home page though.
